This is a part of a letter I actually wrote them. I could have gone into much more detail of the conversation we had, but I didn’t. It was a very unprofessional experience. I don’t understand why the person who deals with insurance don’t know what was happening with my bill. For over four years, we were happy with your service then whole thing seemed to have changed. The last service I and my son had was a mess. Well, the accounting was. You obviously failed to add the dentist we used to the list for our insurance therefore we were billed as out of network service.(By the way, the service was routine cleaning and exam so insurance covers 100%) I spent many hours about it, and the accounting person finally said she would resubmit the claims. When the insurance company adjusted, they asked you for a refund since there was a contractual discount. You billed us for that amount which, by contract with the insurance company, you are supposed to credit, and again I spent hours on the phone again. I was told it will be fixed, but the next bill still showed the balance. Once again I spent hours on the phone. Finally I was told the balance is my responsibility and no matter how I explained, it did not work. Finally I contacted my insurance administrator and she contacted your office. My insurance administrator said the lady in your office«did not realize,» even though I explained over and over. When the bill was fixed, our balance was«zero» which is not right because we had credit before this entire ordeal, so if everything was properly credited I should still have that credit. I guess she took the easy road and just made the balance zero. But I was so tired of entire thing, I said«forget it» and we notified your office our entire family will be moving to a different dentist and as I was asked why, I explained. I guess my husband had a standing appointment and he had a voice message left about the appointment. He never called back to confirm. Now we are charged for missed appointment. I let go of the credit, so I was going to fight to get back that credit, but I’m tired. I know I will have to explain whole thing again. So I just want you to know why my entire family no longer use your service and I intend on posting this on every review site. I’m sorry for the nice dental assistants, hygienists, and receptionists we encountered before.

Best and the most comfortable cleaning I have had in awhile. However, the dentist was barely there, unfriendly and didn’t tell me why they wanted me to see a specialist. They also told me I needed more dental work than I imagined possible. Especially compared to what my trusted dentist in Oregon said not too long ago. I wouldn’t go back again.

If you like to feel like a cow and enjoy getting in a cattle line, then you will enjoy going to willow tree. Low paid, undertrained doctors, gross facilities. I would definately not recommend going here or taking your family here. Even if their $ 1 dental visit sounds like a good deal.

Bad: — poor diagnosis of dental operations. — «Drill 1st, ask questions later» attitude Good: High-tech diagnostic equipment Nice furnished waiting room It’s unfortunate that WillowTree doesn’t do its core function well– which is good dental care. The practice is relatively one of the newer practices and the staff appear to not be as experienced. The cleaning was thorough but my gums really hurt during the cleaning. The diagnosis was that I had 6 cavities which surprised me as I have not had any cavities in my life until this point. The possible explanantion provided to me was that Boise water did not have fluoride so there was less protection for my teeth. When I asked about the possibility of getting a 2nd opinion or waiting a few months to confirm the results I felt that I was being pressured into doing the fillings right away. There was an implication that I was a naïve client that dared to question their opinions. Ignoring their advice, I went for a 2nd opinion elsewhere anyways and was told there weren’t any issues and as a safety precaution I could come back in a few months to confirm the results. I passed on getting the fillings and returned to Willowtree in 6 months for my cleaning. I ask about the 6 cavities and am told that they«disappeared» and are not an issue. I am writing this review a full year after my 2nd checkup at Willowtree. I had moved to San Jose for the year. In my subsequent checkups in San Jose, there have been no cavities and a clean bill of health. Now that I’m back in Boise, I will avoid this dental practice even for cleaning as I feel their practice is more about«drilling first» than asking questions. Such cowboy antics wouldn’t be acceptable for your car let alone your teeth. Sadly I am not the only one as I’ve talked to co-workers who have been to WillowTree since returning to Boise and they have confirmed similar stories of an initially excessive diagnosis consisting of extraenous operations If anyone has a good recommendation for a dentist in the Boise area, do tell!
