Culligan products overall are more commercial grade than store bought softeners. With hard water in Romeoville, I replaced two Home Depot bought units in 10 years before deciding to go with Culligan. As I’m not overly familiar with other products out here I will focus my review on service. Salt Delivery Service for your unit is top notch. The delivery man is friendly and courteous. Providing you are home when delivery occurs, he fills your unit for you. Prices are only slightly more than buying salt bags and hauling them yourself. They also provide courtesy calls to remind you of delivery so you can reschedule if you don’t need additional salt or if you are out of town. Had a problem with my softener unit and had a service tech out within 4 days. Tech was also friendly and respectful of time. The only thing I’d like to see personally is a free water analysis AFTER the unit is installed. If it’s top grade why not show it? This is more a service thing, but also perhaps yearly or bi-yearly tests to ensure everything is functioning properly. Otherwise great friendly people every time I interact with them. If you need such a service(if you live in Romeoville you do), I’d recommend them.
