Had a Prickly Pear shaker at the bar tonight before the movie. That thing is awesome! Caught some NBA all star festivities and enjoyed some golf on the tvs too. Great service by all three bartenders.

I’ve had several visits to this bar. It’s fancy and upscale. The problem is no one knows it’s there unless you’re there for the ipic movies. The drinks are fancy, this expensive. But they taste great. The menu selection is limited. You can order appetizers too, along the same lines of the drinks(fancy and pricey). I do like the place. It is a nice change of pace from a Hollywood boulevard type of movie thereafter/bar. It’s also relatively unknown so it isn’t too crowded as of yet.

A bit pricy, but a nice place to grab a few drinks and bites before a movie. You can bring your drink into the theater as well. My husband and I are fans! It’s spacious, dimly-lit, and has a few billiards tables. I’ve had their portobello mushroom sliders, mahi mahi sliders, and their Mediterranean salad, to name a few. All very delicious, but not too thrilled with the price point of the sliders($ 13 and $ 14, respectively). I wanted so badly to like the red velvet bread pudding but I forgot that bread pudding just isn’t my thing! My husband enjoys the grilled cheese panini and tomato bisque as well as the Angus sliders. The bar has a wide variety of bottled beers, draft beers, wines, and cocktails — I typically indulge in wine or beer. Before movie previews, they do little segments where an expert mixologist prepares a cocktail, and it always looks amazing! They do have specials some nights, but I haven’t had the opportunity. Not sure if this falls under the«theater» but I’ll mention it here: they have a prix fixe menu for the premium seats in the theater: $ 25 for an appetizer, entrée, and desert. I’m mad I just saw it last night, because it’s an amazing deal!

We used to frequent the Premium Theater at Yorktown Mall, which seems to have closed. We live in Bolingbrook, tho, so we’re happy to have an alternative in IPIC’s theater. One drawback to AMC Premium closing is that Yorktown was a no-children venue for us adults. At IPIC’s price point, it’s surprising people bring their children, but they do. Parking is a challenge in this very busy area of the mall, near another popular bar/eatery, where even handicapped parking is minimal and not close. They’ve done some renovations in the lower level of the theater so the lines to check in are not as long as they used to be, and there are kiosks for ticket pickup. Upstairs in the restaurant/bar area, during prime time, seating is hard to find and service is slow, so if you come for a matinée, you’re better off. Eating in the theater is challenging for two because you have to share one very small table between you, in the dark. Make sure your phone has a light in order to read the menu if you order food in the theater. The food is primarily finger food, some very tasty dishes, but quite pricey for the portions. The servers are very pleasant, but not always very attentive, possibly due to the business model of in-theater service. Theater premium seats are comfortable and cozy, and you get a small pillow & fleece blanket for the upcharge.

I had the Asian spring rolls. They weren’t bad, but got a bit soggy towards the end. Pretty big size for an appetizer! The price is pretty expensive, but it’s expected for a restaurant within a movie theatre.

Salt is a very nice, trendy bar inside of the iPic Theaters building in the Bolingbrook Promenade. We’ve only been to the iPic Theaters here once because we don’t normally like paying $ 17.50 a pop for a movie, but we come to Salt all the time. It has an upscale atmosphere, lots of big-screen TVs and pool tables, a wide selection of cocktails and beers, great service, pretty good food, and weekly food and drink specials, which helps to make up for the fact that they’re a bit pricey. We recently attended Salt’s first ever beer dinner at their Bolingbrook location — a six-course menu, each course paired with a Samuel Adams product. The food was great, the portion sizes were just right, and the beer was — well, it was Sam Adams beer so of course it was excellent. What really made this dinner was Sarah, the Sam Adams sales rep who narrated each course for us. She was very knowledgeable about all of the different beers(I was surprised to learn Sam Adams actually makes 65 different products), and explained how the particular beers we were drinking would accentuate or cut down on certain flavors in the foods we were eating, and vice versa. For example, if you want to cut down the bitterness of a really hoppy beer like an IPA, eat a fatty dish like mac-and-cheese along with it. That little tip alone from Sarah was worth the price of the whole dinner. Speaking of price, at $ 30 per person, this beer pairing dinner was the most reasonably priced one we’ve ever attended. This was probably an introductory pricing to get people to sign up. If these dinners catch on and become more popular, I wouldn’t be surprised if they start charging more. But if all of Salt’s beer dinners are as good as this one was, we’ll keep coming.

nice place, great atmosphere, but extremely over priced. $ 12 for buffalo spring rolls? for $ 12 i expect to be blown away and it just didn’t do it for me. it was edible but had very little flavor. i’ve had MUCH better. i ordered the turkey apple panini for something like $ 13 and wow underwhelmed again! i guess when i initially saw the price i figured this would be the best panini i’ve ever had. boy was i wrong. it could at least come with bacon… i tried a piece of the flat bread and it was good, i should have ordered that. with 1 appetizer, 1 entrée, two 23oz craft beers, 2 mixed martinis, and 4 shots my bill was $ 100. the drinks were good but the food was severely lacking flavor and originality. would recommend for drinks because of the nice ambiance.

$ 2 draft beers and $ 0.50 wings Sunday, Monday, and Thursday(when there’s a football game on)! First I’ll start by saying, I was surprised by how nice this place is… Definitely not your typical movie theatre waiting area. Me and one of my friends wanted go out and have a drink and try a new place, when I read another Unilocalers review on it we thought it’d be worth a try… and it was! We sat down and ordered, the bar tender was nice and quick. I ordered the Peach Cosmo, and she ordered the buffalo wings and a 312. That was the best cosmo EVER! I will definitely return, the atmosphere was nice, plenty of TV’s, a pool table, great service, and a fully stocked bar, what more could you ask for?!

I live in Chicago and this was my first trek out to Bolingbrook. My first impression booyyyyyyy is this place far and the gas is cheap! Salt is a cool spot surrounded by a movie theater. They have tons of television screens and great specials on Sunday game days. I think I may have seen free hot wings when the football game started. Salt is a very nice spot and once I get a full tank of gas I may make my way back out there.
