Nice place in Bolton Landing for breakfast or brunch just outside the Sagamore where I was staying. Have been here on two separate occasions in different years and hasn’t disappointed. Both indoor and outdoor seating, but tends to start getting crowded after 11. All the breakfasts I’ve tried were very good. Omelettes and eggs were delish. Potatoes/hasbrowns were just the right amount of crispy and the toast was thick cut although they butter it for you, which you might not prefer. Had both the hot and iced coffee which were both very good. Not sure if it’s normally free refills but they didn’t charge me for it, even the iced.

I came here every day on memorial weekend. It was a place that was bombarded but still held its own. Staff was very sweet and attentive enough. Be sure to ask for everything you need while they’re at your table. Busy season is bound to be frustrating. Sitting inside had a different feel but I enjoy both. I prefer the espresso drinks to the coffee. Dishes were satisfying and filling. Everything tasted fresh, just the hash browns were maybe a little dry. Toast was really good and cut thick. Not the standard butter-ridden slivers I’m used to. Place was clean. Prices good. Only gripe is they can try to check in a little more, cause there’s always a napkin or condiment us customers are missing. It has a very quaint and personal feel. I came here every day on vacation to avoid the large crowds though Sunday was crazy busy. I just happened to hit it at the right time.

I had breakfast with my fiancée here Memorial Day weekend. Surprisingly there was no wait and we were able to be seated under the awning on the deck pretty promptly. It was comfortable under the awning even though it was a scorcher. The service was good. The food was even better, and the price was the best. Coming from Manhattan it was refreshing to be able to get an egg white omelette my way with hash browns, toast,(crispy) bacon, AND coffee for such a reasonable price. Cute place. Definitely recommend.

Loved it! The pancakes were big and fluffy, the eggs were cooked just right, and the bacon was crispy! The staff was accommodating and helpful. The coffee was great.(But really, can’t stop thinking about the chocolate chip pancakes!)

Our favorite breakfast spot. Cozy, comfortable, hometown atmosphere. Great breakfast and lunch menu. Attentive and friendly service. Our favorites on the breakfast menu include Señorita’s Choice and the Adirondack Hungry Person. We’ve tried other breakfast places around the area but nothing compares to Bolton Beans. We look forward to breakfast at the Bean almost every weekend.

When I went into the restaurant., no one offered us a seat or greeted us. Waited five minutes and left. Was disappointed in the service.

I worked for 5 days in Bolton Landing. I was there during the offseason, and had few choices for lunch as most places were closed. I ended up eating at Bolton Beans 3 times while I was there. The restaurant is in an old diner car, and it’s quite small. Four or five booths, and about 10 stools at the counter. It’s quaint, and homey. I like it, it’s almost like stepping back in time. The staff were all very friendly, and made me feel at home. Over the course of my three lunches I had the reuben, the«Orleans» and the philly steak. I loved the reuben, it was spot on. When I ordered the philly, the woman who I believe is the owner, said they roast the beef in house themselves. Obviously, it’s not a traditional philly steak, but it was quite tasty nonetheless and I enjoyed it. The Orleans was good too, but my sandwich was practically an entire chicken breast between two slices of bread which made it hard to eat. I would’ve prefered the chicken to be sliced up a bit, but that’s a minor quibble. The side salads are simple but good, with fresh, good quality greens, and the house made dressings are excellent.

Being a local who works in the food service business finding a good breakfast before my long day is key, and only one diner in Bolton fits the bill. From some of the better coffee in the lake George region to the fastest food from order to table in town the bean is a great economical destination for breakfast in town! Only thing I would wish to see for 2016 is maybe a few fresher ingredients such as the bucketed fruit cup(1 star quality) but otherwise a home run!

First time trying this spot. Place is very small so there was a bit of a wait. They didnt seem attentive to opening tables so we waited awhile when tables were open. Servers were incredibly slow once we sat down and we noticed it was the same for other tables. Finally took our order and surprisingly the food came out quick. My wife ordered pancakes which were awesome. Blueberry and chocolate chip. Fluffy and good. I got super potatoes mexi-style with eggs. Really good. No complaints. Food was spot on. If you are in lake George and don’t mind waiting around this is a great spot. If the servers were more attentive this would be a 5 star review. Frustrating to wait and wait when the restaurant clears out.

After mostly bad to mediocre food experiences at best in the Lake George area, Bolton Beans was insanely refreshing. The breakfast food was great. In a town full of pancakes and eggs any style they have found a way to make creative breakfast concepts. Their hash brown mixes are great, corned beef hash was on point, and the kids loved their eggs and French toast. Very friendly server behind the counter where we sat made for an all around pleasant experience. We will absolutely come back.

My husband and I ate here this morning. I wasn’t a fan of potato hash browns. It wasn’t cooked enough and was bland. The ham that came with my omelet was dry and the omelet was undercooked. The coffee was OK. The best thing on my plate was my one piece of toast. I’m not very picky I ate most of it I just wasn’t very impressed. I would have given this place 2 stars but my husband loved his breakfast carnivore home fries and eggs.

Coffee was not the treat I expected, but then again its not like this place is a coffee house. The omelets were cooked perfect if I forgot the frisbee for the dog. Again with the eggs. Pay attention to the fry pan. Dry eggs, dry meat, dry pancakes. Come on! Although the four of us were under enthused by our experience, there were other perhaps less challenging menu items that may come out properly served now and again. Although recommended by the Sagamore valet, I will not pay forward unless this review helps someone.

Mexi Style Hashbrowns and eggs were yummy and filling. Chai Tea latte was good, like the big mugs, in which it was served. This place was tiny & filled with people, but we still could find a place to sit, which is good. Will go back there, when I visit Lake George again.

Charming concept for dining; kitschy décor; small amount of seating at table/booths but seats available at the counter. Prices were reasonable. Server was a bit unfriendly at first but the owner was very nice– checking on us and joking around. Food was pretty good but nothing to rave about… My carnivore was overcooked(kinda dry) & the blueberries in my pancakes were not fresh(tasted like dried canned or dehydrated blueberries)…meh. Had they not been chewy blueberries, I’d say the pancakes were great. Was hoping for a bit more in service & food quality.

Delicious food! We found this place via Unilocal reviews and all of them hold true! We’re Vegetarians with severe egg allergies and still found tummy filling food! We had the Mexi Style Super Potatoes that was packed with flavor! Loved it. Also had pancakes that were so so soft and a glass of coffee! Perfect breakfast at Lake George :)
