Our first meal of this ski season at the JMT was great! I had the garlic lemon shrimp and my son had the pasta special. Others had a burger, salad, chowder, and a chicken sandwich. Everyone was really happy with their food. Our server was friendly and chatty, and even though the place was busy, she remembered that we wanted a straw, started a fresh pot of coffee for us, and checked on us frequently. I’ll be back for another meal soon, provided Mother Nature does her part and sends us snow! I’m giving 5 stars because this place is so much better than most ski area taverns, with a menu that goes far beyond burgers and fries. Next time I’ll try the fish tacos and I’m happy to see the fried green beans on the menu for an apre ski treat! Oh yes, and this year you can also order flatbread pizza in the tavern!

This is a typical slope side bar, lots of people clomping around in ski boots, lots of beer. That aside, I thought they served decent wings. Service was ok, the beer was cold. Hey, life is good. Don’t go here expecting romantics atmosphere or gourmet treats, but if you want ok après ski fare it’s ok. After all the next closest place is an eight mile drive.

I’ve been going to the JMT for years and I’m happy to report it has made dramatic improvement. The dry rubbed chicken wings will impress. The burgers are thick and juicy. The pizza is generously-topped(get the Devil’s Playground). My complaints are minor and few. The portions of fish and chips are too small. Also, the service can be inconsistent.
