The place just didn’t «sing to me». Just couldn’t relax. This is one of those spots where«locals» congregate early in the morning over coffee and loudly discuss politics. You’ve been to this type of place before. On the plus side. The waitress was wonderful. The food«ok». Price«ok». I don’t know. Probably will not be a repeat

I’ll bet this place gets a ton of business from the Comfort Inn next door(that’s how we ended up checking it out). Compared to the bare bones«free continental breakfast» at the hotel, this place is haute cuisine! I had the pancakes and they were really good and fluffy. The sausage and bacon all seemed Sysco-based(nothing special), and the biscuits and gravy were decent, but very plain and floury. A lot of older people seem to eat here, which may explain the blandness of the sausage gravy. They have tons of amazing home-baked munchies though, along with great service and nice atmosphere. Prices were fair… this is a solid local option for breakfast/lunch while tooling around Bonita Springs. Probably a 3.5 star place but the good service kicks it up to 4. A-OK!

After hearing how tremendous Dolly’s is for two years we finally went for lunch. Soup, sandwich and pie. Soup, homemade and pretty good but not fantastic. Chicken salad sandwich was mediocre– nothing special. Pie, seemingly homemade but not the best we have had. All-in-all an acceptable experience but not fantastic. We will go elsewhere.

Dolly’s dances through the competition! For several years going this place has some of the best food in Bonita. Yes the place is dated but that adds charm to the experience. Family run and service was terrific, even though they were plenty busy. Food was delicious, fresh and plentiful. The blueberry pie was some of the best I’ve ever consumed. Nice touch was the farmers market attached. Lovely concept. Keep dancing Dolly.

Wife and I shared a three egg veggie omelet. It was enough for both of us and served with more hash browns than we could eat. I thought the omelet was bland tasting and the veggies were raw. I like my omelet veggies sauteed. Breakfast just OK, not outstanding and not bad.

We went for breakfast and each ordered a different omelet and both were good… not outstanding but good. The hash browns and cottage fries were greasy and the sausage gravy was all flour

We thought this quite a «cute» little roadside diner. We had driven by it several times and finally decided to stop. It’s a place for breakfast and lunch only. There are tables sitting on the porch or tables inside. We opted to sit inside since it was just a tad nippy outside. The inside was packed. There wasn’t a single empty table at 10:30 in the morning. It was so loud we could hardly hear each other speak. There are only 15 tables in the main dining hall but the voices sounded louder than a sports bar. I’m not sure if this is normal and just that there isn’t any noise buffer or it was unusual. We figured we should have eaten on the front porch. It would have been peaceful. Servers were good but we had a differing opinion on our breakfasts. I ordered ham and eggs. Eggs are almost always under cooked so I hesitate to order them but I did. I ordered over medium well and they came out a perfect medium which is what I hoped for. The ham was delicious and the toast hot. My husband ordered a cheese omelet. It was dry with very little taste and the cheese was skimpy. So, I was happy except for the noise level and for that alone I wouldn’t return. My husband wasn’t pleased with the meal or with the noise.

Rode by at lunch time, saw Dolly’s as we passed by and swung around because it looked like where we wanted to eat. It was. We ate outside on a lovely day. The waiter pressed us to try the tomato-stuffed tuna and chicken, which we did. Both were tasty and satisfying. Then we indulged in a couple of slices of their signature pies, a chocolate peanut butter pie and a peach pie. The peach pie was especially good, with light flaky crust. Place had a friendly vibe that we enjoyed.

We went for lunch here one day since it’s right beside the hotel we were staying at(comfort inn). I got the burger and sweet potato fries. They were both very good, and nice portion sizes. The prices were a little expensive, but I’m assuming most of the products come from nearby farms. Service was good, and friendly.

Great, grandma’s cooking serving breakfast only on Sunday’s till 1:00 and till 10:45 on the rest of the days. Blueberry scones were excellent w/lots of blueberries. Yummy corn beef hash too. Old building with mismatched tables and dishes make it an iconic experience.

Went here for lunch with a coworker. This is a cute country-style restaurant that makes you feel at home. Friendly staff welcome you into this old home turned dining room. When you walk in you will pass by all the home made baked goodies that remind you of your grandmas treats. Look on the wall to see the daily special. On this day there was a roast beef with mashed potato dish as the special and then chili and chicken dumplings as the soups. I decided to go with the Turkey Ruben on Rye with sweet potato fries. My friend had a cheeseburger. Anytime a menu has a turkey ruben, I tend to choose it. And I am glad I did! Tons of roasted turkey piled high on the toasted fresh rye bread and a perfect amount of sauerkraut. The side of sweet potato fries was huge and way more than I could eat. For a $ 12 lunch plus tip I would say I am pleased. Things to know — they are only open for breakfast and lunch. They close at 2pm, so plan accordingly. And make room for dessert!

Great local spot for breakfast and lunch — though I think the breakfast stands out as much better than the lunch items. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I like to go a-la-carte with corned beef hash and biscuits and gravy. The fresh squeezed OJ is second to none. The service is prompt and courteous. It’s a good ‘old Florida’ spot. Like something one would still find in the interior of the state… or like the type of place that would have been much more common in SW Florida 25 years ago. Like many good breakfast spots, Sunday morning can be very busy so be prepared to wait in season for a table.

Visiting family in Florida we came to Dolly’s for lunch. The food is better than the appearance of the restaurant. It’s a basic breakfast menu in the morning and sandwiches and burgers for lunch. It’s a family run establishment and I try to go to as many non-chain restaurants as possible. I figure it could be my only chance to get a particular item served nowhere else. The restaurant is clean but a little older. Be sure to choose wisely when looking for your table. Some tables have padded chairs and some don’t. My preference is a padded chair seat. Their beverage cups were squeaky clean and my water tasted like water should. They have coke products, lemonade, and both regular and sweet tea. When first reading the menu i wasn’t impressed. Quite a few sandwich choices served with a bag of chips and a pickle with about 6 – 7 burger options, also served with chips. When my double cheeseburger and my mom’s, Dolly’s special, sandwich arrived at the table my eyes opened a little wider. Her sandwich wasn’t something I could have whipped up at home and my burger must have had close to a pound of meat with no filler. We shared a slice of cherry and key lime pie. They were both good but not great. I’d still try it a different pie if we come back. Service was good and the overall experience was better than I expected upon entering. I’d recommend this spot to anyone wanting a basic lunch that’s done right.

We stopped in for breakfast before checking out of the hotel next door. The service wasn’t very friendly and it took a while for a waitress to come over to us, but the food was pretty good and at a good price. The 1 egg, 1 pancake, and 1 meat for $ 4.75 was tasty and cheap! The ambience was a little dated for my taste, and there were spiderwebs near our table in the windows. However, I’d come back for a quick breakfast again.

So glad we tried this spot for breakfast. Great service, great food. Funky décor, and off the beaten path. Seemed to be lots of locals as opposed to tourists. We did not try any of the fantastic looking pies, but I’m sure they are epic. If you tire of the madness of other well rated spots give this one a try. Great value and a fun place.
