The place is decorated really cool but the service and food was very poor. Our server NEVER once came back after taking our order. We had empty drinks the entire time and heard her talking to coworkers in the back so she wasn’t busy and there was only 2 other tables in the whole restaurant(which another server had). The food looked like a frozen TV dinner had been microwaved. We waited for 13 minutes after we were finished with our food for the server to come back and ask if we were ready for the check. I will never go back!

Great service in cheerful holiday decorated place… almost a hole-in-the-wall! My son said the Reuben rivaled my own! I agree! I had the shaved prime rib sandwich… yummy! Fish & chips my daughter had was delicious & hot also!

What a great place! We went for lunch this past Saturday. Sat at the bar and had great service from Kathy. We had the chicken mushroom pie and rib eye sandwich. Kathy recommended doing a side of peas and carrots in the chicken pie in lieu of the fries. Wow it was amazing! The chicken was tender… the sauce and crust(which was light and flaky) with all the goodies(mushrooms, peas, carrots) were heavenly. The rib eye sandwich was tender, lean and full of flavor. It came with a side of horseradish and a nice au jus for dipping and a side of perfectly done steak fries! Great customers in the bar to talk to as well. Now that we live here this place will be a frequent eatery for us!

Prime rib Sammy is really really good. My girl and I appreciate good eats and these guys put out some nice food. The only way to improve this would be more of a toasted Italian or baguette roll instead of the veeery tasty soft white roll. That way you can use the exceptional Au jus to soften the bread if you were so inclined. Mash taters wi dark gravy and warm rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream as the appetizer.

We love this place! Consistent and delicious. All employees treat us like family. And you could eat in the bathroom(not that you would want to but wow it’s soooo clean!). Shaved prime rib sandwich is almost as good as chicken and mushroom pot pie. I think. Maybe it’s a tie. Either way you can’t go wrong!

Not impressed at all. The chips and gravy and beer were fine, the rest not so much. The cottage pie tasted like cafeteria food. The Brie and mushroom soup was too thick and salty and just a disappointing goopy mess.

Always great food and service. Today is Sunday mushroom brie soup, pot roast and Yorkshire pudding. They also have Lambshanks on Sunday. Weekdays I have Cornish pasties and chips and Curry. The only thing missing is Low Tea and little Cucumber Sandwiches. I love this place. And if you insist of course there is Fish and Chips and Cottage Pie.

This is a great little place here in Bonita Springs to come and get traditional British food! I had the traditional english breakfast and I was super impressed with how great the food was. This place left me craving for more! The staff was friendly and took care of all my needs in a timely manner. They also play soccer games and have great beer specials during them! I’ve had great times watching the games here!

Walking into this establishment you receive a feeling of being home. It’s warm staff is friendly and inviting. The food is not the highest quality but you can’t judge to much on an interesting food such as fish and chips. The bar is great, separated from the older crowd if your looking for an after work drink.

Place is cute and authentic inside. We only went there for drinks but the ambience made it worth the price we paid for the drinks. I would definitely come back and grab some dinner when I’m hungry. They have all sorts of British and Irish food available.

Today I was sick from work. A friend asked me what I wanted for lunch I said soup she said Panera I said no the British Open Pub, she has never been. I let her know on the short drive over they always have a wonderful homemade soup and since it was lunch we would get the pick of all soup offerings they always have at least 2 I’m talking summer… Today they had Mushroom Brie Bisque DELISH, Split Pea which she and I had and something else… Remember, I’m ill. The specials were great I recommended the lobster quiche, my husband and I have had it several times but she opted for comfort food as did I. I had the POTROASTPASTIE which was not on the menu and a cup of split pea and tried to have a hot toddy for my cough *wink wink* while waiting for our to go orders. She had split pea and a grilled cheese sandwich. Our food was fast and when we got home it was still DELISHANDHOT! To openly seek out a restaurant when your sick and in need tells something about the establishment. I wanted comfort food and I got it! As I was going out the door I spotted Bernie(one of the owners) and let him know that the family would be back for dinner tonight! Always good for my word, my husband took the kids out to the pub and brought me back another Split Pea which I enjoyed as much as I did for lunch. So it is quite OBVIOUS that this place is great! I have never had anything I did not like, reason I don’t eat liver so no liver item will touch my lips, I have eaten almost everything on the menu by ordering or «sampling» the hubby’s, kids or friends meals… ALWAYSGOOD!

Met my in laws here because it had the game on over the bar. A pre-req for bar dining, they say, As I awaited their arrival, the people at the bar chatted easily. I found out that there is real British ale on tap, that the shepherds pie and peas are the regulars’ favorite, and the Pub’s bread pudding is to die for, Well, perhaps not really to literally die for, but since all of these endorsements came from a British Army/paratrooper vet, I laid down any remaining doubts and surrendered to a whiskey, straight up.

A wonderful pub with a divine menu and reasonable entrée prices($ 10 – 15) in an area where everyone else is $ 20-$ 35. Excellent service, reasonable wait for food prep. The place is dated and dark(possibly intentionally to resemble an old pub). We had a great fish and chips, liver and onions and cottage pie the first night. We went back a second time for the prime rib sandwedge au jus and the blackened shrimp veggie primavera. Every one of the five meals was delish. Loved the curry sauce on the French fries(chips) – very authentic to England and Ireland. We never made it to the strawberry-rhubarb pie but would not hesitate to call this place our best eats in the area!

I was here a couple of years ago and the food and drink was solid. While looking for a quick stop to grab some dinner I thought I would give it a try again… I was not disappointed. The atmosphere makes you feel right at home on the pub side — it also looks like they have some nice outdoor seating that I will try at another time. The service was very friendly — I sat at the bar and had some great conversations with the staff working that night and other as well. Now onto the food — I began with the sausage rolls I have not had in a number of years at an Irish pub in PA — these were fantastic and a must to try if you eat here. I had a sandwich for my main meal but was actually full after the appetizer, I just couldn’t help myself! There was a good selection of beer and the prices are very reasonable, definitely a great spot to try if in the area.

Interesting décor, very British. Wait staff was friendly, ambiance is great. We had the fish«sandwedge» and shepard’s pie, both were great. Have to love an authentic British pub. Cristi ordered coffee, and even that wasn’t bad(generally non-breakfast restaurants have terrible coffee). Great experience, just short of perfect.

Every year we visit my partner’s dad and make it a point to eat here. The staff is always warm and friendly and the food is consistently delicious. I have always gotten the fish and chips and my partner always gets bangers and mash, but as I had fish earlier today I forced myself to try something different. I ordered the pot roast pasty. I’d never had a pasty before so I have nothing to compare it to, but as far as good goes in general it was amazing. The filing was flavorful and moist and the crust was warm and flaky. The food is so fresh and homemade tasting! You really can’t go wrong here.
