The last time I ever went to this location was in 2014(I gave this place many chances due to their close location). The customer service was horrible from the entry to the bar. Drinks were distasteful as were the bartenders attitudes. I haven’t been here since their bar rescue makeover but I doubt any thing has changed about the way they treat people.

Ugly fat girls that think they hot, expensive door for being in the middle of nowhere and expensive drinks $ 9+ for regular vodkas and in the middle of nowhere. This is not New York. This is not Miami, LA, or Gas Lamp DTSD. Get your mind right, not even bar rescue can save you’

Management is garbage. I agree with most bad reviews from experience. For a place located all the way out here… better off at a place with better reviews and closer to other options when service is bad. Owner is a true amature in customer service and ive seen his ghetto class in action with other customers.

Formerly known as Club Caribe, La Luz Ultra Lounge is the worst«nightclub» I’ve ever experienced. I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday, 20 dollar cover charge to see Meek Mill. 40 dollars for both to get in, and by 2 a.m., guess who never showed up? My shots of «Patron» were watered down tequila out of a patron bottle. As soon as we got inside, they separated my gf and I and said she wasn’t allowed to go into the dancing section of the bar. We weren’t there to see meek mill, but to dance for her birthday. I hate this place. I spent 90 dollars and for one reason, to write this review and hope nobody goes here again. Everyone is deceiving. From the disgusting owner that lied to me when I had called before I went to the bartender and security. And can I mention the owner promised me the cover charge was 10 dollars? I hope this place burns down.

Juan Pablo, you should be ashamed of yourself for your behavior. The«owner» of this location is an absolute joke and like the previous reviews stated, «management» here couldn’t care less about their customers. Tonight was a special event. A popular group from Honduras dropped by to play and we decided to go to show support. Let me begin this review by informing you that we were forced to pay $ 25.00 per person, even though we came before their cover fee charge was implemented. We did what most responsible adults do which is call to confirm cover information. We were told that there was NO cover before 9pm. If we arrived later it would be $ 20.00(well, we paid 25 each). Nonetheless, we paid the fee. I left an open tab to avoid screaming with waitress to order drinks and to be eco friendly and avoid multiple receipt printouts. By the end of the night, the waitress charged my account not once but twice totaling over $ 100.00 dollars. The entire night, ifonly purchased one drink. Anything else I consumed was purchased for me by other people. I refused to sign receipt and the waitress began yelling obscenities and broke all rules involving my «bubble zone» by coming so close to my face I could smell the cigarettes and alcohol breathing from her cesspool of a mouth. She screamed for security and when the nice gentleman arrived(the only rational person there) he assured me that she would be dealt with since her behavior was unacceptable. Anyway… As I was leaving, Juan Pablo(the«owner») heard his waitress hollering that I had refused to pay and began to attack me verbally without giving me the opportunity to speak for myself. Regardless of the fact that my uncle paid my tab in cash, even after I pleaded him not to since I had already paid my tab. Word to the wise and individuals with common sense and morals. STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACEUNTILNEWMANAGEMENT/OWNERSHIP OCCURS, or once place actually becomes a truly hidden«treasure» for the city of Bonita. This community deserves a real place for entertainment. Club Caribe should just open its doors in Tijuana where I’m sure hey will attract the kind of people they hope for.

Love the music! They play salsa, merengue, bachata as well as reggaeton. They have everything I look for for a fun night out. Hungry? They even have a taco stand outside. I had marlin tacos that were amazing! I had a blast dancing between the two dance floors and meeting some interesting and fun people along the way.

This club should change its name. Club Caribe? How does it have anything to do with Caribbean flavor when they take hip-hop artists and Mexican musicians who play banda? That is not Caribbean. A true«Club Caribe» would take reggaeton, salsa, bachata, merengue, etc. artists. Learn some geography. And the owner is some«swag» kid. Go to a Latin club in Miami and you will see what a true Club Caribe is.

Average crowd, not really a dress to impress type spot, but the music was fairly good. Drinks were typical of a latin club, nothing really grabbed my attention.

We bought $ 20 tickets from PurplePass to see Nipsey Hussle which is the only reason we went to this place. There’s an 18+ side which threw us off. It took a long time for it to get crowded. The venue is very small. The drinks were ok. The crowd was ok. Definitely nothing to get dressed up for. And then we left at 110am & Nipsey still wasn’t there. It was a waste of $ 20 and a waste of gas money.

Caribe now offers salsa dancing group lessons on Wednesday nights — followed by a live Mexican band(that doesn’t play salsa).

I’ve been to this club 3 times, all three times were quite disappointing. I did go on a Thursday all three times so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. When I went the place was empty, it was probably my group of 5 and maybe other 6 people. It was crazy I’ve never seen a club so empty. I must admit the music was good, I really enjoyed it. I guess they need to promote more. It is a little on the ghetto side too.

It was my first time here last night. I only went to see Juan Rivera perform!;) $ 20 cover charge. Got there a bit before 10. The place was pretty empty. But no where to sit since all the tables were reserved.:(had to sit & hang out by the bar. Drinks were expensive for what they gave us. A shot of Patron $ 8. It was a tiny little shot glass like 1⁄3 of the regular sized ones. Cranberry & vodka $ 10. No alcohol. Just juice. Ewwww Buchanas & pineapple & Malibu & pineapple were pretty good & much stronger. Pretty good selection of music. Banda, norteño, corridos. Also reggeaton that the dj was playing. I enjoyed the opening act. The grupo Sol Norteño singing a variety of my favorite songs. A lot of people on the dance floor. Juan Rivera was amazing! He was taking pictures with everyone during his whole performance. He’s great with his fans. I definitely would not come back unless they have another singer or group I like. There are better places to go that are much closer to me.

Do not recommend this place at all! Bored outta my mind and still had to pay cover? People sacrifice the drive to go downtown or pb instead because this place is not worth your time or money!

I didnt get the memo that the dress code was white pants brown belt with big buckle and tucked in faded button up shirt night. Cowboy boots optional. Music was loud and distorted. Only thing this place had going for it was the bartender. Older hispanic gentlemen who was efficient and friendly.

* I have personally dealt with this business for catering purposes and visited the restaurant for their daily buffet as well as frequented the nightclub on several occasions. o Let me start with The Buffet/Catering Services: Juan Pablo is very attentive and works with you and your budget for your catering event. I have ordered from them on various occasions and have always had more than enough food for my event and delicious as usual! His wife Edith puts her foot in it! She is one of the best Dominican cooks in SD! Being Dominican myself, I know when someone can make our food good! I frequently visit the buffet and you can not get a better deal than a $ 5.95 buffet plus a free drink! The food is always fresh and warm and they even have fresh fruit for dessert. I highly recommend visiting the buffet Tues-Fri 11:30 — 2:00pm or ordering from them if you have a special event! o As for the nightclub: I was born in Washington Heights and lived in NJ for most my life and moving to San Diego was hard, due to the small population of Dominicans, but I found that Caribe has by far the best Latin music DJ’s in Southern California. I’ve been to most of the Latin clubs in San Diego, The DJ plays the best salsa, bachata and merengue mixes, and they sometimes have guest DJ’s from NYC. You will find great dancers, mostly from the Dominican Republic or Puerto Rico. The bartenders hook it up… You will get tossed here lol. Juan Pablo and Jose are usually always there greeting new people and catching up with the regulars. –Two dance floors. Cute Guys, Pretty Girls, Definitely check it out for yourself!
