Wow, what can I say? The quality and service here has declined to the point we will no longer continue to be regular customers! We got an order to go, a 3 meat plate and a 2 meat plate. The take out boxes were greasy, dirty and gross! The good was slapped into them, piled on a lump and a hard roll placed on top. Greasy gross pulled pork, hard ham and overcooked sides made for wasted money. Three words to sum it up: gross, gross, gross!

With a hunger for some decent barbecue, Dickey’s was a somewhat of a let down for us. The brisket was a bit cold, the ribs were bland/dry, and the honey ham was also average. The Mac and cheese was a positive, and definitely would recommend the pulled pork sandwich my wife ordered. The service was nonchalant. We stopped by on a Monday afternoon and were the only guests in the restaurant. I felt impatience with one of the girls as my wife and I reviewed the menu for our little ones, strange being that there was no rush being the only people there. I’d have to go 3 stars based on the average meal and service, and honestly won’t be coming back.

Not impressed usually love coming to dickies but our food was dried out and slimey, my baked potato wasn’t cooked all the way. Needed to change my daughter no diaper changer table and bathroom was filthy. Very digusted

I can’t believe I am giving this place 1 star completely unprofessional I will not ever return. I ordered a 3 meat plate at checkout was told I can’t have double ribs Sarah(already has multiple complaints) then proceeded to remove the ribs and tell me she can’t serve it that way. She then tells the young man where you order that you can’t do that. Sarah is totally unprofessional very rude.

Sarah, while appearing professional, carried herself that way as well. Overly frustrated with my indecisive 7 year old, and at one point during our visit told a coworker, «I don’t know. That’s not my job!» The male employee seemed confused when I asked him for a comment card. The food was decent, but the staff really made it a visit to forget!

Visited for the first time today. Wasn’t worth the effort for sure. Used a coupon card and was treated poorly and corrected in proper usage even though the other employee was the one telling me how to do it. Unfriendly staff and bland food. I’ll go to hop jacks instead

I had a party planned for Saturday night and on Friday afternoon it dawned on me that I did not have enough time to buy all the food and make it myself. I stopped in to Dickeys in Bonney Lake to see if it was too late to have them cater it and it turned out not to be. They delivered the food hot in on time and everybody loved it! Numerous guests commented on how they had never been to Dickeys and now they would be going there because of how great the food was

I review today as a previous customer many times over the past year and a half. The food is good, Turkey is VERY good. We always order take out as we work in Orting so we often buy lunch, large amounts for lunch for usually 10+ people. I am only giving 2 stars on todays visit and they really deserve a 4. Ordered lunch today, online 2 family meals 1 large 1 med. and paid on line, sent up an employee to pick it up. I did not tell them to double check everything for being there. Did not think I would need to, but the meals come with certain items. Forgot the rolls. REALLY forgot the bread that you make mini sandwiches on. I know she apologized. but come-on. seriously? Its meat, sides and bread. Orting to Bonney Lake, is not a quick drive at lunch time, and its a large group of people. Very dissapointing to say the least. I hate take-out anymore, people just cant get things right. Seems like the reviews before mine are not raving about this place either. Think I will drive to South Hill for Famous Dave’s.

Dry over cooked and held too long. I got a family dinner and the chicken wasn’t even edible. Not worth the money for sure. You would think if you go in at 5:30pm they would have fresh food for dinner. The re heated Mac n cheese was crusty from being held too long. I will never eat at Dicky’s again.

This place is good for a quick grab and go BBQ. I like the brisket the best. They have deals and coupons all the time that you can use. My kids love the Mac n cheese. My hubby loves it all. It’s not the cheapest place for a family to eat but it’ll fix your BBQ craving. And won’t leave you sad.

This dickies is a few minutes away from our house but usually we drive down to auburn because the dickies has a hard time making ribs that aren’t tough. About a month ago we went in and ordered dinner around 6pm on a weekday giving them another shot on the ribs. I ordered a 2 meat with ribs a brisket and a half rack of ribs. They only had enough ribs to do the two meat plate and said they are out of ribs for the night. How does a bbq place run out of ribs when they are still open for 3 more hours! Tonight we were in the mood for bbq and of course bonney lake is limited so i went to dickies. I was ordering for my whole family that was home and everyone wanted beef brisket. Again it was 6pm on a Sunday night. Right away I was informed they had no beef brisket. I wanted to turn around and leave but I was tired of driving and didn’t feel like finding a new place for the family to agree on so just changed to pulled pork. I asked the guy chopping up the meat for a bunch of extra pickles, which he told me he would. Once I was paying for the food I asked the girl packaging to get me extra pickles and the guy cutting up the meat yelled over and said he already did. I got home and… No extra pickles. The only reason why I’m giving them 2 stars and not one is the food is good if you order the right stuff on the menu.

The food here is ok nothing special a good place to grab some BBQ. The staff is ok they can be a little slow and sometimes forget things you asked about. If you have a coupon make sure they use it Ive gone here about 5 times and they never used the coupon so I’ve had to remind them if they added the coupon. But good food and small environment.

Used to be a great place to eat. Now, not so much. Would rather drive to Auburn all the way to Tacoma or just not have BBQ at all. Most of the time they are out of at least one of the main menu items and the staff has gone from friendly to rude at best. Don’t know if there has been a change in ownership but things definitely are worse.

We love love love this place! We always get great service and only once or twice(out of maybe 20 visits) have had mediocre food quality. Love the atmosphere too! We’ll continue going here as long as we live nearby.

I was stuck in Bonney lake for a few hours and needed something to eat. As I strolled along 410 I saw dickeys. I’ve seen them around before but for one reason or another I never made it in. I was craving cornbread and was a little disappointed that they did not offer cornbread but I got the mac n cheese and bbq beans as my sides instead. I had a pulled pork sandwich as my main which had onions and pickles on it. The best part is you get free soft serve ice cream and the lady recommended I make a root beer float with my drink cup and I was quite satisfied. It was Sunday and they also has football on the TV so I was pretty much in heaven besides the fact I felt like a fat ass after I destroyed my huge root beer float.

As far as I know, this is the only BBQ place in Bonney Lake, so I was hopeful… and my hopes were quickly dashed by the quality of food. The service was great, no complaints there, but the food… dry brisket(VERY dry!) the coleslaw was odd, it had very little dressing it was just like — well… chopped up cabbage? And then the potato salad was more like potato salad soup! Seriously, it was a soupy mess with maybe a half dozen potato chunks in it. Baked beans weren’t any better than cheap canned baked beans. The only redeeming item of our order was the ribs. The ribs were great!

I just fell in love… my boyfriend and I had a coupon so we decided to go to Dickey’s Barbecue Pit for the first time ever. So very delicious. Staff was very helpful with our questions and even asked how we liked it. I had the rib plate with BBQ beans and onion tangles. he had the three meat plate with beef brisket, spicy cheddar sausage and polish sausage and potato salad and onion tangles for his two sides. We both agree this was the best meal out we’ve had in Bonney Lake since moving here in October.

Food is usually good. I like the beef brisket best. For sides most are good, I like the mac & cheese, onion straws, and sometimes the fried okra

Horrible customer service. I’ve ordered from them twice and never again. Both times they forgot to deliver all the food then when I brought it up I got attitude. It’s not my fault they can’t get it right. Also it was very hard to get a hold of someone, The phone just rings and rings. Go to the one in Auburn or longhorn, not this location.

Wow. Just wow. Can you have a worse experience? I’d heard so many good things about Dickey’s that I just had to try it. I googled their website, looked at all the wonderful pictures and noticed the prices were reasonable. And – it’s in Bonney Lake, the first of what I’d heard were«many» Dickey’s to open. There was an article by a woman in the Bonney Lake Reporter about how much food they gave(she claimed it was bad value for the money, little did I know…), but I blew it off because I wanted some authentic TX bbq. I’m a big fan of bbq and fried okra. I know they just opened last week, but you’d think a store fresh out of training would at least hide their tip jar(seriously? a tip jar?) after making me wait 40 whole minutes for okra they emptied out of a pre-made frozen portion bag into the fryer(see the picture! this thing was almost ten dollars and meant to feed 6 people. I could see the paper through the sparse scattering of okra). And then – I don’t know what was up with it, but they kept their brisket wrapped up and under heat before they sliced me off some over-dry beef. To be fair, It took them less than three minutes after they started my order to hand me my frozen okra(2 dollars at Wal-mart if I’d wanted to fry my own) and put my(probably sterile since it was so tightly wrapped) beef into a takeout box. I wasn’t the only one waiting because you could feel the anger in that room. Red faces, angry looks, muttering? By the time I found out I’d get some kind of cafeteria food for my twenty dollars(and very little of it) I’d invested so much time waiting I didn’t want to spoil my entire evening. I thought, well… maybe the food is really good and it’ll make up for the wait. Wrong. When I got home, I couldn’t figure out how half the beef(the bottom half) was so dry and the top half was so fatty, and why on earth it tasted like Great Value chili powder. I kind of expected smoke, maybe a little char. Although they did try to push bbq sauce on me and I’m starting to think it might have been to cover up the taste and texture. Maybe they’ll get better later, I don’t know. But for now? I didn’t leave a tip(for their empty tip jar), but I did leave. And I doubt I’ll be back.
