Visiting family in New Jersey… came here tonite and it was soooooo good! If you want to come in for a quick bite(holy the sandwiches looked amazing!!) or come sit in their dining room. Bring your own wine in no charge(love that!). It’s super casual, no need to dress up. I had chicken parm, so good and the calamari was perfect! Jersey Italian’s finest!

Great mom and pop family Italian restaurant. Menu doesn’t change much and ambiance doesn’t wow you but the family run place concentrates on serving great food and making you feel at home. They even sell pizza dough to take home — makes homemade pizzas so much more practical.

Delicious cozy and convenient! Was impressed with how we were welcomed by owner and wait staff. probably the best chicken parm I’ve had in NJ! Pounded thin and crispy with a sauce that tastes like it was fresh from the garden! We will definitely be going back again and again! A gem!

My Second time eating here and this time was even better than the first! A very unpretentious place with huge portions and great food. I had the penne pasta with vodka cream sauce with Salmon, it was out of this world!!! My friend had zuppa de clams in red sauce and she loved every bite! Don’t pass this place by!

We’ve been here twice already and each time the food has been great. The service is good and the atmosphere is very casual. Don’t let the fact that it’s a pizza place fool you, the food is some of the best I’ve eaten. A must try, enjoy.

I love Top of the Park, for me they make the best pizza around period. There may be other decent pizza in the area but they do not come close to Top of the Park’s. The other italian favorites on the menu are also spot on. The family atmosphere is as excellent as the food, Joe and his family are terrific hosts. Some of my favorites(other than pizza) are the calamari, cold antipasto, any veal dish, the nightly specials and the eggplant. I don’t usually eat eggplant in restaurants but at Top of the Park I make an exception-it is that good.

I can’t believe how many times I passed by this place and didn’t even know it existed. My husband and I stopped by for dinner and were not disappointed. We started with the antipasto salad. Humungous portion, perfectly dressed with pinwheels of meat and cheese. My husband thought they should have had more pieces of roasted pepper for such a large salad to share. I got the only piece of roasted pepper. We then had the baked clams. 6 pieces if freshly baked clams. The breading was nice and garlicky, but could have used some chopped parsley. For the entrée, we shared the small Brooklyn Pie. It was more than enough to share. Thin crust, nice big pieces of garlic and some tasty sauce. I was more impressed than my husband, maybe he was mad I got the only piece of roasted pepper in my salad?

From the looks of it, you don’t expect much from Top of the Park. It’s a tiny, super casual, hole-in-the-wall mom and pop place with humble trappings. Old school all the way. If you want to feel fancy, go somewhere else, but if you love really, really good Italian food, this place is a must! Last night I had some of the best chicken francese I’ve ever eaten. My husband agreed, and we know Italian cuisine. We’ve eaten in numerous Italian restaurants around the country, including some of the best, and I’ve dined in Italy as well. The«gravy» on the linguini was also quite good. Everything was cooked perfectly. What a wonderful find!!! We ordered take out and stopped in to pick the food up. When we got home, the portion was big enough for the both of us. It was so delicious I was tempted to lick the plate! Yes, it was THAT good.

This place is fantastic! Huge portions of delicious food for a reasonable price. It’s an authentic, dive Italian restaurant with the mother and father in the kitchen and the son waiting tables. You have to go here and order their salads!

For those of you who have yet to visit, you’re really missing out! One trip and you’ll be hooked. Great food, portions, service and BYOB. That’s right, all that and good prices too. Locals have kept this place a secret long enough. Sorry folks, but the word is now out on this little gem. Bring your family, friends and have a wonderful experience. A taste of Italy at a fraction of the cost. This is not a highline restaurant. It’s a family owned and operated pizzeria and Italian restaurant in the heart of Boonton, NJ which serves delicious food — pizza, pasta, Italians favorites, specialty items and more. Depending on your party and desire, service is either family style or individual customer. If you have restrictive dietary requirements, just tell the server and the chef will make every effort to meet your needs and provide you with one of the best tasting meals you’ve had in a long while. It will be hard to do, but try to save room for the desserts. They’re worth the calories.

We eat out a lot, and TOPOFTHEPARK is by far our favorite. The escarole & bean soup is heavenly, the house salad(ask for potatoes) is perfect every time, the shrimp are always huge and cooked to perfection. You can’t go wrong at top of the park!

The waitress/hostess was so kind and helpful. The pizza was delicious and fresh, while the meal my husband had was equally wonderful and fabulous tasting. It’s homey, family type place. You’ll feel right at home, definitely give this place a try!

Stopped in with a friend to grab a slice this weekend. The owner was friendly and talkative. The slices(plain) were fantastic. They were served on proper plates with silverware and napkins. The restaurant(and bathroom) were clean and decorated in an inviting way. I think we paid just under $ 5.00 for two slices, which is about typical. The pizza was great. Fluffy crust with a good balance of sauce and cheese, and it seemed they used a high quality cheese without a lot of oil. It had been freshly baked. Taking away a star for the less-than-enthusiastic attitudes of his children sitting around. They looked annoyed to have to work. Over all good experience, though.

Stopped in or dinner on a Saturday night after an absence of many years. At 5:30 pm the dining room appeared to be empty, but we were told that without a reservation they didn’t have a table or our party of two. Luckily there was one(out of five) table remaining in the more casual dining area near the kitchen. We ordered a pizza and watched as countless people streamed into the restaurant — many who seemed to be regulars who were had tables waiting and many who had to wait for one of the casual five tables in the front. We were simply lucky to have gotten there when we did. Food: Delicious. It’s your basic Italian menu along with some specials. and it is all made fresh right there in the open kitchen. Booze: Sorry, but there is no liquor at this establishment. However, it is BYOB, so join the masses and bring your bottles of wine. Prices: Reasonable. Pizzas start at $ 13.50 and menu prices range depending on what you’re getting. Atmosphere: Casual, yet authentic. if that makes any sense. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, but it’s nicer than your traditional pizza joint. This is a full blown restaurant that just happens to have pizzas too. Delicious pizzas.
