The Beach Cove Waterfront Inn

My family and I stayed at The Beach Cove Waterfront Inn this past weekend. We had a great experience, and I was pleasantly surprised because I didn’t know what to expect. We had a suite with two beds and a large sofa, making our room HUGEEE! It was a lot of space which was way better than feeling cramped in a tiny hotel room which usually seems to be the case.
Upon our arrival we were greeted at the front desk and the woman working there was so friendly. Because it was our first visit to Maine, she took the time to explain directions and the best attractions to visit around Boothbay. She also gave us maps and tour guides which came in handy. As I mentioned before, the room was very large and had a nice balcony overlooking the water, which was so pretty! Additionally it was fully equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator, and a new television. Everything was kept very clean and the cleaning service was prompt and efficient.
In the mornings, they offer a complimentary breakfast which you can pick up at the front desk. This was very convenient for us, however, the selection of items were mostly pastries and sweet goods. It would have been nice if there was something a little more savory or less sweet to eat first thing in the morning… a bagel would have been nice. Other than that, I had no complaints with my stay! I definitely recommend Beach Cove if you’re coming to Boothbay for a visit!

This inn is very nice, friendly and clean.
They have a lake in the back and you can go fishing, swimming, kayaking and canoeing. They have a small outdoor pool, a picnic spot and a couple of grills to bbq. They have a large open backyard field, which is nice!
The room is very clean and spacious. It is a bit dark because they do not have ceiling lights. We had a nice balcony view with a table and chairs outside.
People that works/​owns this inn are very polite and friendly! They provide us homemade muffins and other pastries in the morning! Which is nice because you take the breakfast back to your room and eat outside and enjoy the beautiful view.
If you want a nice, quiet and peaceful getaway weekend trip, come stay here! Also, five minute drive away from the Boothbay town!

What a great inn! The room was spacious and very, very clean. The balcony offered a wonderful view of the water. The grounds are well maintained and offer a lot to do. We took advantage of the free canoes and spent a wonderful afternoon paddling around the lake. Secluded and very quiet at night. The staff were friendly and attentive. This place is an amazing value and perfect if you are looking for something peaceful, family friendly, and not directly in the middle of (but conveniently close to) the main tourist area. No doubt that we will book our next stay in BBH here.

Kurz und knapp, Wundervoll!!!
Nach einer recht langen Autofahrt von Cape Ann über Kittery (unbedingt anhalten! Tolles Outlet) nach Boothbay Harbor brauchten wir eigentlich nur ein Bett zum Schlafen. Wir kamen recht spät im Hotel an, nach einem kurzen Telefonat würde uns versichert, der Check in sei bis 22:00 möglich, super. So war es auch. Gegen 20:30 erreichten wir das Hotel. Wir wurden herzlichst im nach frischem Gebackenen duftenden Office begrüßt, uns wurde alles soweit erklärt und wir wurden mit Karten versorgt. Als wir das Zimmer betraten erfüllten sich schon alle Erwartungen vollends bzw sogar noch übertroffen. Der Blick vom sehr großen mit Stühlen und Tisch ausgestatteten Balkon ließ schon in der Dämmerung viel Gutes erahnen, das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig, das gleiche gilt für das Bad, ein zusätzliches Waschbecken gibt es außerdem direkt neben dem Bad. Eine Mikrowelle sowie ein Kühlschrank gehören ebenso zur Ausstattung. Alles war ausgesprochen sauber, sehr gut in Schuss und gepflegt.
Am Morgen danach genossen wir auf dem Balkon selbstgebackene Muffins, Bananbread, und allerlei andere Leckereien wie Obst, Säfte und Kaffee. Das Beach Cove Waterfront liegt ca. 2,5 km von Downtown entfernt. Aber man muss nicht unbedingt in den (malerischen) Ort, sondern man hält es auch sehr gut im Hotel aus. Man kann kostenlos Boote mieten, die Feuerstelle oder Grills nutzen, im wohl temperierten See schwimmen oder einfach im saftigen und gepflegten Grass liegen und sich sonnen. Abseits stark befahrener Wege ist es hier absolut ruhig, man hört nur der Natur zu, so wahnsinnig wohltuend, dass man hier sehr ungern wieder weiter fährt. Hier kommen wir ganz bestimmt wieder hin…

Meticulously maintained! When did you last see the staff of a hotel dusting the outside handrails and balusters and wiping the outside of the room doors? They do it here! Friendly staff, fresh muffins and breads baked onsite each morning, beautiful lake views.
This is an older property with all the inherent limitations that come with age. For that reason alone I give 4 stars instead of 5. But, they make it work as well as anyone can. Approx 1 mile from the center of town. You will enjoy your stay!
