They can have stars for the ambiance, nice table settings and staff but as for the food not so good. Worst chicken marsala I ever had. The sauce was too sweet? And almost taste burnt. The chicken with so paper thin and overcooked it was unbelievable. I had chicken marsala at the Cheesecake Factory two weeks ago that was so much better. Serving sizes are small and it’s overpriced. Had some bread pudding and a golf ball size scoop of ice cream — that was $ 10 way too expensive. Plus $ 8 for two small glasses of diet coke — no free refills. Really

One of my favorites for the Porterhouse steak. It melts in your mouth. Served on a 500 degree plate. The restaurant is small and you need reservations at least a week in advance. Prices are very high. It is on Farnworth Ave. you can walk the small town after you eat. Try the steak, you will love it. We have been here at least 6 – 7 times. Deserts are delicious also.

I went here for a business lunch. The service was extremely slow. Drink glasses sent empty waiting for someone to come back around and check on us. When the food finally did arrive the chicken in both dishes was overcooked and very dry.

What a great find!!! We were driving on the turnpike and used our GPS to find a place for dinner. This place was probably one of the best places we have ever been to. Amazing food and amazing service. Make sure you try the meatballs!!!

Go here for the beef steaks, ours(a two person porterhouse) was truly excellent. The pasta(carbonara) and wine(ruffino modus) were also very good, and our server(Debbie) was quite professional and helpful. On the downside it had a rowdy bar atmosphere, and the young guy who answered the phone when we called was unhelpful(I asked if there were any specials and instead of listing them he said«yes, lots of them.») It is a curious combination of quality dining and loud groups of heavy drinking men. Unlikely to be the most romantic or relaxing option, but it is probably your best bet for steak in the Bordentown area.

This place is exceptional. The food we had was impeccable, the service we had was top notch, and the décor is perfect. I went with a buddy after he took me to the only chase bank within 40 miles of Philadelphia to cash a check, so I treated him to a steak. I Unilocaled and we found this gem within a 15 minute drive of the bank. We walked in in jeans and tee shirts, which while I would not recommend(because you likely can’t prove to be as elegant as me in jeans and a tee shirt ;)) as this place is a top notch steakhouse, we were still greeted, sat, serviced, and entertained as if we were wearing suits. The waiter was one of the best, well rehearsed, attentive, and sharp witted waiters I have ever had. I suspect he did some time working in a big city extremely high cost establishment before joining this team. He always ensured our drinks were full and we were pleased with the service. I got the porterhouse for one which was the best steak I can ever recall eating, and I do ensure you I’ve eaten some steaks in my time. I would put what I had for $ 39 up against and $ 60 – 140 steak I’ve ever had anywhere. It was perfectly cooked, extremely well seasoned, and came out sizzling. My friend got the New York strip, which was very good as well, but I won that contest. In conclusion, I may make another 40 minute drive simply to visit this steakhouse again. I whole heartedly believe that with the service from our waiter, their ability to not judge us on our attire, and the quality of their steaks, it is better than anything I could ever hope to find in all of Philadelphia. Hats off!

Each meal was amazing, flavored, and cooked just right. I had the tasting menu and each in my party chose something different. The meals came out on time and with just the right amount of space between meals. My husband says it’s the best steak he’s ever had. I’ve traveled a lot and the quality and attention to detail in this place would compare to a 5 star in Italy or France. The ambiance was moderate and the slightly dim lighting made it cozy. Our server Brianna was a god send. She was spot on for all of our needs and went above and beyond for my daughter who’s birthday we were celebrating. This will definitely be a return to place.

This is not a great steak. That is a gross understatement. The 12 oz center cut filet is a masterpiece of cut, aging, seasoning cooking, and presentation that brought tears of joy to these eyes. That’s only the second time in my life that’s happened, the other was the first visit to Peter Luger’s in Brooklyn over 40 years ago.

The steak made me humble. I’m a tough critic when it comes to steaks. While I love even the lowest cuts I typically won’t pay good money for anything other than a ribeye steak. I would stray more often but I haven’t had a steak at a quality steak house that I thought was worth the money, other than a ribeye. I had a stranger I met over dinner recommend a steak at this resturant so strongly he threw down $ 50 to pay for my steak. So I obliged. I cooked at restaurants for 8 years and know my way around a kitchen pretty well. I appreciate new foods but I long for the tier of food that still escapes my cooking skills. I found it tonight in Tuscano’s dry aged sirloin. It came out on a sizzling platter with nothing except two sprigs of rosemary and a few garlic cloves. Sliced into strips they verified I approved the temp and served it up. Had a perfect crust and oh so tender. So much more than I ever expected from a sirloin.

First time here this weekend but it was my husband’s second time. He visited this restaurant two years ago and always raved how great it was! We finally went this weekend! The service from the moment we entered was great. The staff is friendly and helpful with explaining menu items. I had the white sangria with fresh cranberries! Amazing!!! Then we had the bacon dusted calamari! Best and freshest calamari I’ve ever had! We had the rib eye for two and the server changed our sides for us since my husband preferred the truffle frys which were amazing! The steak was extremely tender, seasoned well and cooked to perfection. We finished the evening with a double shot of expresso paired with a canoli and crème brule! It was an amazing dining experience! We will be back!

Came here with a friend for dinner the other night, after a few tries going in on Sunday(for where they are closed), and it was amazing! The food was warm and everything cooked to perfection! The Mac and cheese special is to die for! Our server Brianna was wonderful! Will be back for sure!

I ate here to catch up with a friend who lived in the area and remembered I had been here years before. So that was a nice surprise. It’s located in a cute town with parking on the street right out front, nice and easy! I went inside and waited a few minutes before anyone came to the front. There is a bar when you first walk in that seems full of regulars. I was asked what my reservation was(which I didn’t have on a Wednesday) and was told no problem I could be accommodated. That usually annoys me especially when there seem to be plenty of open tables. The gentleman was friendly at least. I ordered a glass of red sangria to start which was nothing special, not enough red in the red sangria, more ice and fruit. The bread came with olives which I don’t eat but at least it something different. I opted for a gnocchi and veal dish. It took quite a long time for us to get out food(oh yeah there was a salad in between, nothing life changing but they did accommodate my switch for a caesar so that’s a plus) but as my friend said«as long as the food is good it’s worth it»! And she was right. The portion was just enough for me though her chicken and shrimp was monstrous in comparison. The veal was shredded and tender, gnocchi cooked perfectly and the sauce was flavorful. It reminded me of a cognac sauce and I would definitely order again. It was a special and by the way they have an entire menu of specials(somewhat annoying as well, I can’t remember 9 – 10 other choices in addition to the menu) but it surely made deciding hard. I also didn’t love finding out my «special» plate was 30 dollars What can I say the food is good you pay the price. Dessert wasn’t my favorite which I was sad aboutthe chocolate cake wasn’t really a flourless texture more of a Duncan Hines microwave texture. Still ate it but probably wouldn’t order that again. There were about 7 other choices that I would be more than willing to take the chance on. Will be back for more.

HASHTAGEXCELLENT! A hidden gem worth the trip! Presentation not only for the eyes but for the palate! The Chef knows how to orchestrate his ingredients & seasonings not masked by over salting. We were on business in town so popped in for lunch. I had the sausage, escarole & bean soup. I’ve never tasted anything so filling & satisfying. I had a grilled chicken Cesar salad and the chicken was warm, perfectly cooked; the salad dressing was fresh, homemade, & the romaine tender crisp. The fresh baked warm bread was served with olive oil with an assortment of olives. If I lived within 35 minutes of this place I would be back regularly. The specials & the rest of the menu were so appetizing I wanted to try everything! This restaurant should be a Mecca for the business lunch & dinner late night crowds everyday! Compliments to the Chef & our very enthusiastic waiter!

Absolutely AMAZING. From walking in till leaving. Amazing martini’s. Food was just incredible. I would love to give a suggestion of what to order but we tried a bunch of different things. My suggestion… Share and taste as much as you can. LOL Fish cooked to perfection, the porterhouse melted in our mouths. They didn’t even need to give us steak knives. Fresh homemade desserts. Chef Zack is an artist and very personable. We saw him walk into the dining room several times and talk to the regulars. . i’m still full and can’t wait to go back.

As a Bordentown resident for over ten years, I am absolutely amazed that I have never been to Toscano before tonight. My parents and I received a gift certificate to Toscano for Christmas and called in a reservation for tonight at 5 in the evening. When we first entered the restaurant, it was empty, but by six o’clock the restaurant was pretty full. Our server, Briana, warmly welcomed us to the restaurant with a bright smile and an enthusiasm to take us on a culinary adventure that would far exceed expectation. Briana took our drink orders and read us the specials for the night. After reading each special, she even told us about her favorite parts to each dish. For appetizers we ordered shrimp cocktail, butternut squash ravioli, and bacon dusted calamari. The shrimp was incredibly fresh and served in a glass over crushed ice, the butternut squash ravioli had a creamy filling and were topped with a sweet and delicious glaze, and the calamari was unlike any fried calamari I have ever tasted — the sweet and sour sauce really made it special. Every entrée is served with a house salad that is composed of romaine lettuce, red onion, celery, cherry tomatoes, and a honey balsamic dressing. The salad was refreshing and the dressing seemed to cleanse our palettes for our impending dinners. Meal portions are extremely generous! The chicken francaise that I ordered was served with three pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, and string beans. Our table also ordered the scallops which were served over a bed of delicious risotto, and the special of the night lobster tail over linguine with a spicy gravy San Marzano sauce. After our meals were finished, Briana brought a tray to our table which featured a wide variety of desserts including cannoli, tiramisu, cheesecake, zabaglione, and bread pudding just to name a few! Our table ordered two zabagliones and a coffee and an espresso. The zabaglione was phenomenal — the fruit was fresh and the Marsala wine infused custard was light and decadent. The espresso had a wonderful coffee flavor and was even served with a lemon rind to top it all off. During our time at Toscano, we never felt rushed or anything but happy. Our water glasses were constantly filled and our dirty dishes were promptly cleared from the table to make room for other plates. Although the prices at Toscano are a bit expensive compared to other restaurants in the area, the service and the food are unparalleled and it was well worth every penny. We will definitely be coming back and spreading the word to other unknowing Bordentown residents! Toscano is certainly a hidden gem in the area.
