2÷21÷2016 We had a furnace installed by Total Climate Control(Penacook, NH). BIG&COSTLYMISTAKE Initial meeting: Owner Matt came to our house, discussed options and as a result of his professionalism and follow up, we contracted with Total Climate to install a new gas furnace. Shortly after installation, 1. Pipe fitting produced leak: installation fitting wasn’t tightened properly. 2. Condensation tube was installed outside vs to washing machine drain resulting in tube freezing and water backing up into the basement. Total Climate suggested I pull the tube into the basement and and let it drain into a bucket? Faulty Tech programming: 1. Furnace stopped working. Tech came over and in a arrogant way asked if I reset the system(he was so sure this would fix it). Turns out the High Limit Switch went bad, replaced it $ 327.00 2. Furnace stopped working second time. Total Climate puts a new limit switch in and it blows again. Tech determines it must be the Mother Communication board($ 733). Being a furnace company, I relied on their knowledge and thought they must know what they’re talking about(the furnace was 1.5 years old). 3. Time for installation: when they didn’t show up, I called to find out it was sent back to the manufacture in error. I was told they would call me when it came in but they never called. I even called 4 times but was never satisfied with the answer, this was October and we had no heat. In the course of 2 months, I attempted to call owner Matt well over 12 times to discuss why I would have to pay for a mother board on a 1.5 year furnace. Matt NEVER returned phone calls. It was obvious that the owner was attentive when he wanted our business but his follow up was NOTCUSTOMERFRIENDLY. It was now October 28, 2015 and we still didn’t have heat. Realizing that TOTALCLIMATE was not going to return my many calls, I called another furnace company. In less than 10 minutes it was determined, 1. Absolutely NOTHINGWRONG with the mother board. 2. Total Climate DIDN’T PROGRAM the furnace correctly at installation or follow up visits resulting in the limit switch turning the furnace off to prevent damage. 3. My new furnace company is clearly more skilled in dealing with furnace operation and is able to problem solve vs Total Climate simply replacing parts and NOT knowing the operating system. Total Climate Control at the direction of Matt the owner refused to refund the balance of my service contract(which I cancelled due to their POORCUSTOMERSERVICEANDSKILL). They also wouldn’t refund the $ 367 service fee for the wrongly diagnostic charge. If you’re thinking of installing a furnace or need any furnace repair, THINKTWICE before selecting TOTALCLIMATECONTROL.

Sorry to see such negative reviews here! We have lived in Concord for a few years and have Total come out each year to check on our system and perform basic maintenance. They have been courteous, professional, timely, and very pleasant to deal with each time. I have nothing negative to report about them.

After servicing our central air unit we were given the option of pre-paying for the next service.(I assume at a discounted rate.). We did. What they did NOT tell us was that it was essentially a one-year«membership» in some program they offer. So when I called to have the service done, I was informed that our«membership» had expired after 12 months, and that this being month 16, it was too late.(The rep initially tried to exaggerate it by saying«If it were a month or two, we would honor it, but it’s been 6 month.» … in reality it had been 4 month) It was NEVER explained to us that this was a «program» or a «membership.» They essentially took $ 109 from us and never provided any service. I suggested, in the future, maybe place a courtesy call for the $ 109 you received, reminding customers who have also paid you hundreds for service, that there is an expiration date. Never doing business there again.

Last winter I was faced with a serious situation that scares the hell out of any landlord. For some unknown reason the Carbon Monoxide detectors went off during one of the nights of the winter. As I learned one of my boilers failed and in doing so overheated my tin exhaust chimney causing it to split at the seam allowing Carbon Monoxide to enter my building. After evacuating my tenants with the assistance of the Fire Department I was faced with the problem of what to do next. I called Total Climate Control. Within 45 minutes a heating technician arrived at my building and assessed the damage and formulated a plan to immediately repair the problem and restore my boiler to working order. The repair was done efficiently and very promptly which was very important, considering it was below zero outside. I a time of extreme need, TCC was there for me. Yes, I would call them again.

This company installed my heating system. When the job was finished they didn’t clean up after themselves. They left PVC pipe shavings all over my floor and they left electrical connections exposed. They had to return almost immediately because the PVC pipe shavings had been drawn into the furnace and needed cleaned out. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this company for their lack of professionalism and quality work.

Like the other review says, DONOTUSETHISCOMPANY for any services. They will get your money for the initial visit to check your system. Then we made an appointment for ONEMONTHOUT. Fine, we waited. Now, it’s a day before and they called to say they can’t come because they have«more important customers to service.» So they are bumping our appointment. They will continue to bump your appointment for other customers. THISCOMPANYISSCAMMINGYOU for the initial visit money and then will never return for your actual service.

DONOTEVERUSETHESEPEOPLE! They are horrible!!! They did work on my house(conversion from electric to propane) and they botched the entire job! Extremely sloppy work — used the wrong type of pipes — installed valves and zones upside down — installed heating units in the registers upside down, missing connections, etc, etc. It only gets worse. The owner doesn’t take responsibility for his men’s terrible work — I don’t even think the boys that did the work were licensed. They didn’t get a permit and when the building inspector found out, he fined them and then the owner tried to pass on the cost of the fine to me! Totally dishonest company. Am now taking them to small claims court because they won’t fix all the mistakes. Don’t ever hire them!!!
