4 Stars. I’m giving this place 4 stars for 4 reasons. 3 are good, 1 can be lived with. My first reason for this place being four stars is that it is the only place in Bossier City that can host massive concerts. And by massive I mean a little over 7,000 seats. My second reason is that this arena can host anything. It has hosted rap concerts, basketball games, bull ridings and it was even home to Bossier/Shreveport’s very own C-League hockey team. GOMUDBUGS!!! My third reason is that though this arena may be small the food is tremendous. Everywhere you go you get a high quality of arena pizza, pretzels, and maybe the most important, hotdogs. My fourth reason that keeps this place away from five stars is that this place is very small. As I mentioned in my second paragraph this place only has about 7,000 seats that are in the stadium. So if you don’t buy tickets to your event quick you will get sold out, or worse, have to sit in the nose-bleeds. So buy tickets early and make sure you bring money to eat all of the delicious food.

Been to a coupla concerts plus some indoor football games and hockey games and quite a few bullridings/rodeos here… I really like this venue. AMPLE parking and the venue itself is easy to navigate… plenty of bathrooms and concession areas plus they have exits onto a balcony that is available on either side of the arena for smokers… or just for some fresh air with your date. 2 levels of seating but honestly I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the house… Beers come in a can and you’re gonna be charged $ 7 for 24 oz of your favorite domestic brew… mixed drinks are gonna run you $ 7 as well… they also offer a big ass frozen margarita for $ 10… Most recent time here was 3÷29÷14 for the CBR Louisiana Shootout followed by a Frank Foster concert… great event and a good time…

First, please note that this is in no way a review of the event I attended(Elton John last night. He was awesome and if I rated that, I’d try to give it 6 stars.) The venue is small, and that’s not a bad thing – it’s just big enough to support a good amount of people, without anyone being too far away from the action. For this reason, I give the venue 2 stars instead of 1. Also, all of the standard stuff that you’d expect is in order – the venue was clean, wasn’t too run down, and there was ample parking(for free!). Aside from that, though, I’ve got a few issues.: –Getting to the venue: Traffic was a problem. We waited in line for a bit less than half an hour to get to the parking lot. Good thing we were planning on arriving early to get swag at the concert! Instead, what happened was we arrived in our seats about 10 minutes before the concert started, and when we tried to go get some concert gear, the line to the table was ridiculously long. So, we decided we’d come back later. During one song in the concert, we ran over to the booth to find out that they had sold out of most stuff anyhow.(Either way, we made it work.) But, if there’s a big name in town, and you want to get some cool stuff, plan on being at the venue at least an hour in advance. –Leaving the venue: Traffic was again a problem, but not as big of one(as we were leaving and didn’t need to get anywhere on time like we did going TO the concrt.) There should have probably been cops walking around the parking lots looking for Drunk people.(Yup, that’s drunk with a capital D. Damn folks.) People were literally LAYINGDOWN on the medians and curbs because they were so drunk. Also, it’s like they were TAILGATING in the parking lot AFTER the concert(to add to the irony, one such group was playing Free Bird as we walked by). Perhaps I’m just an old fogey(I’m 30 as I’m writing this, and some the folks I’m writing about were probably twice my age – isn’t that ironic. And hey, I «love me» some Skynyrd as much as the next guy, but come on), this situation isn’t safe for said drunk folks or sober folks who are trying to navigate around the drunks. –The Crowd: As you can probably tell, this was our #1 beef – some folks in the crowd were so obnoxious, it really hindered other’s experiences. I paid over $ 150 per head to get floor seats to see Elton John, and literally, in the first song, some dumb woman(who was probably in her thirties) STOODUPONHERCHAIR and GESTUREDTOTHEMUSIC for like the FIRSTTHREESONGS(inclusive of Funeral for a Friend /Love Lies Bleeding — that’s at least a 10 minute venture ON the album) before someone from the venue FINALLY told her to get off her chair. (And seriously b***ch – please. It’s not like you’re fooling anyone. Your parents probably wouldn’t meet for another 5 years when«Goodbye Yellow Brick Road» was released. So there’s really no need to make rap gestures with your hands at Sir Elton John while he sings«…and love lies bleeding in my haaaaanddds.») Not to mention all of the other folks on the floor that insisted on STANDINGFORTHEENTIRECONCERT. Ugh. We bought tickets to see Elton John and his band… not any of you 50 year old women having your«mom’s night out» waving your butt the entire concert. So, suffice it to say that we probably would have been better to get seats in the lower bowl of the«stadium seating.»(Keep this in mind when buying tickets for a concert.) Conclusion, TL;DR: Awesome concert, and the venue has a good amount of potential. To avoid the moronic drunks at concerts(didn’t think I’d see them en masse like I did here), get lower bowl tickets – not floor seats(unless you can swing the front row or something.)

Have never seen an event here, but have been utilizing this building while working on a film. Surprised me to see such a large arena in what seemed like the middle of nowhere, especially one that seemed very modern and up kept well. The arena is a good size and the seating looks as if every seat gives a good view of whatever event is being held there. There’s hockey nets and equipment stored all over the back of the venue, didn’t even know they had a team down here!

I like the CenturyLink Center, formerly the CenturyTel Center! I have seen many bands and events here in the past: Kid Rock(twice), Tool, Chevelle, ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Stone Temple Pilots, Nine Inch Nails, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Snoop Doggy Dogg, KISS, Def Leppard, Journey, Sugarland, Harry Connick Jr.(Hey! I took my Mom… And he puts on a good show, I can’t lie! The man can sing! And he’s hilarious!) Larry the Cable Guy, Monster Truck Shows, The Lipizzaner Stallions, NHL exhibition-Nashville Predators vs. Atlanta Thrashers(R.I.P.) numerous Battlewings(arena football-R.I.P.) Mudbugs(hockey-R.I.P) games. I always enjoy myself at the CenturyLink! There’s really not a bad seat in the house and I ought to know because I always buy the cheapest, nose-bleediest, need-an-oxygen-mask-for-altitude seats in the house! And compared to places like Dallas, the concessions at this venue are a real bargain! The CenturyLink, it’s hard to believe is a decade old now, but it’s very clean, offers a decently-priced ticket for a diverse lineup of entertainment and it has good acoustics! Go see a show and see for yourself!
