although I have been there before, this trip was an absolute positive disappointment. Our waitress did not speak English, the fish was overcooked, and there were scales in my tacos. I fished out four of them! Other than that, the tacos were tasteless and expensive for what I got. four tacos, one drink, and one glass of water was well over $ 20. I think I would have come out better going to Taco Bell, and I dislike Taco Bell.

The tacos are pretty good but I do have one complaint… After I ordered my food and paid, I wrote in the tip with the total but did not actually write in the number right next to the tip line. The older lady went nuts and kept on asking are you gonna tip, are you gonna tip?! I was with someone and felt horrible when that happened since I was also paying for her meal. I pointed at the receipt and said… I did tip under the total amount. I mean come on now… That is just rude. Making me want to take the tips back.

I have to knock these guys on a couple of fronts. Firstly, if you’ve never been here don’t sit down. You need to walk to the back to order. It would have been great to know this before sitting there for 5 minutes while the bus boy kept walking by us. No one said anything. Secondly, the tacos are bland. I’ve had the chicken, pork and tuna tacos and the pork were the only kind that had any flavor. I guess if you’re expected to pile on salsa(which was overtly garlic’y) you’d get some flavor, but that makes everything one dimensional. The tuna taco was especially bland, and riddled with impossible to chew fat running through it. If you’re going to use sushi grade ahi tuna please trim it properly. In closing, it’s just too pricey for the quality.

Very good! Filled me up with food to spare. Chips and salsa is very good. Just not 5 star material in my opinion. I had three different tacos in my meal and two of them were very plain. The best thing on my plate was the black beans. It’s just way to expensive for what it’s worth.

I was looking for something fresh and I found Don Juan Baja Beach Tacos. I ordered there popular pacific rim taco which is yellow fin tuna grilled medium(pink in the center). Good place if you are looking for something quick and healthy — a little pricy but worth it.

So I’ve been here two more times since visiting last week and feel they definitely deserve the extra star. I’ve tried the Blood Orange margaritas(amazing) tortilla soup(just the right amount of spice), the Boss(I HAVE mentioned I enjoy a good drink, yes?), more of the Mexi-cheese steak tacos(seriously addictive) and I am currently demolishing this wonderful Baja Nanas dessert — which is totally not on my diet but almost as wonderful as the Yayo. The service is top notch, and everyone really wants to make sure the customer is happy. Well done!

Amazing and fresh food! Don Juanz is our favorite place to eat in Shreveport. It’s easy to eat there as a vegetarian or vegan. I love the veggie tacos! Try out the mango sals! It’s different but it’s fun! The salsa and chips are great too. No one is ever unhappy when we go there. Highly recommend.

Don Juanz never fails! Better than most Mexican style food in Bossier City… fresh, fast, reasonably priced and just overall DELICIOUS! Do not hesitate to come here, it’s a must! Came in tonight, it was quite busy. We waited in line and our order was taken quickly(despite my special requests), we received chips, salsa, and the queso we ordered almost immediately as we sat down, and our food wasn’t far behind! The crew here has it together. Another great meal at DJ’s!

Love their food. Everything I’ve tried has been excellent. I get fajitas frequently and my wife loves the fish tacos. Chips and hot sauce are good too.

My first meal here today was a refreshingly good one. I like to see that they’re really trying — by using fresh, high quality, unadulterated ingredients. They went as far as to insist on non-injected chicken breast, only 100% fruit juices in their margaritas, house made tortillas(to order), etc. That shows they care to serve the best they can. Even the lemon wedges for iced tea where above expectation. Fragrant, fresh and above most quality standards. They’re taking pride, using care & attention to detail. House red salsa was great. Although not a traditional Baja Fish Taco, the Snapper Taco here was quite good. I’ll gladly eat that again. Carnitas taco had a honey chipotle glaze that, while good, was a little on the sweet side for my tastes. Lastly, my Baja Steak Taco was tasty — yet, dressed almost as I’d expect a hard taco. All together, good food. Fun atmosphere with attentive and friendly staff. Also VERYCLEAN&TIDY. I can’t say enough positive things about places that CARE enough about their customers to keep a resturant spotlessly clean. Good job Don Juan’s! I’ll be back for more!

Stopped off here on our way through Shreveport, looking for vegetarian options for dinner. Based on recommendations here on Unilocal,we tried the salsa and guacamole. The salsa was moderately spicy and tasted fresh and the guacamole was more citrusy than I’m accustomed to, but we all really liked it. My husband enjoyed the Mexi-Cheez Steak Tacos, but felt the queso overpowered the rest of the flavors. Our friend had the Spicy Tuna Burrito and was pleasantly surprised to find they meant the spicy! They also cooked the tuna steak to order and it was perfect. I tried the Baja Slim Burrito without cheese and sour cream. The black beans were flavorful and tender and they didn’t overfill it with rice, the onions and peppers were crispy, and the extra guacamole they gave me to replace the sour cream was a great compliment to the beans. We will definitely stop here again on our way through Shreveport.

Mmmmmm. This place is seriously delicious! They have the freshest tacos with such great ingredients, the ones I’ve tried are the Baja Beach Fish Taco(my favorite), Baja Beach Grilled Chicken Taco, and the Baja Slim Taco(veggie). The fish taco has sushi grade yellow fin tuna in it and it really is sushi grade, smooth and fresh and delicious. It also comes with cabbage, cilantro, jack cheese and this cilantro-lime dressing you can drizzle over it which is heavenly. This is probably the best fish taco I’ve ever had, no lie. Their corn tortillas may look small but they pack them so full that 2 – 3 tacos will definitely fill you up! The Baja Beach grilled chicken taco is alright and has more tradiitonal taco toppings(lettuce, etc) and I wasn’t as impressed with it. The chicken had flavor to it, but it made me wish I had ordered more of the fish tacos because the toppings were so unique in comparison to the chicken taco. The veggie taco called the Baja Slim Taco was actually yummy, I like the fresh veggies and the fact that they grilled the peppers and onions so there was some warmth to it! Definitely good if you’re in the mood for it. I do have to say I really enjoy their chips and their black bean dip! I don’t get good black bean dip outside of texas very often and so I was very happy to find one of my favorite tex-mex items on this side of the state line. The owner is also a really nice guy and is often in the restaurant. GREAT place to grab some yummy food that won’t weigh you down!
