My wife & I were in the area of Greek Corner and decided to give it a try as it received good reviews. We were not disappointed. The food is really good. It is family-run: dad runs the kitchen, mom & son on the floor. All very pleasant. We will definitely eat here again!

This is my 3rd visit to the Greek Corner, and this time I have to lower my rank from 4 to 3 stars. There’s lots of potential here, and the food is essentially good, but they don’t seem to fully have their act together. I still think a falafel sandwich with pickles and no onions is a bit odd, but I went with it this time and ordered one. I asked the waitress to hold the tomatoes and when the wrapped sandwich was brought to me, it had tomatoes prominently sticking out. I should have said nothing(I could remove them), but without thinking I commented on it as she sat down the plate. She quickly grabbed the plate and took it into the back simply to remove the tomatoes which I could have easily done myself. When I got my falafel sandwich back, I unwrapped it only to discover there was no romaine lettuce on it. The waitress had disappeared into the back, so I grabbed a menu from another table to confirm that lettuce does come on them. It does. I waited a few minutes but the waitress never came back until another customer came in to pick up a to go order. I tried to make eye contact with her, but she never looked my way. Finally, I just picked up my plate and took it to her. I said(politely, mind you), «This is supposed to have lettuce on it, I believe.» «It is?» she replied. «I’m not familiar with everything on the menu.» What? She took the plate to the back for the second time, and I sat back down. The sandwich was way overloaded with lettuce when I got it. The cook must’ve thought, «You want lettuce? We’ll give you lettuce!» Unfortunately, by the time I actually began to eat my sandwich, the falafel was no longer warm. My order of baklava came on a plate with plastic wrap over it. I understand plating these ahead of time, but you’d think the waitress would remove the plastic. When I bit into it, it was ice cold, having obviously been in a refrigerator. I’ve bought trays of baklava before and know it keeps for quite a while. However, even if it’s being kept overnight in the fridge, I’d think they’d put some out to get to room temperature for the lunch crowd. This place still has wonderful hummus. I’ve not given up on it yet, but I am much less enthusiastic.

Food was good. My only real complaint is that the plates are too small… my rice kept failing on the table. Portions are good, but the plate size makes it difficult to eat.

First visit yesterday to Greek Corner, pleasantly surprised! Falafel sandwich was fresh and they didn’t skimp on the veggies. Staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely return if in the area again!

We liked it, although the spanakopita was a touch oily and maybe seemed pre-made. Other flavors were spot on. Love that they offer other middle-eastern fare as well. Will try again.

Food was delicious but the waitress never came back after bringing the food and was either MIA or seeing to every other customer while ignoring my table. Never got a drink refill and wanted to order more pita bread for the hummus(so so good) but after a while I just gave up waiting for her to show, went to pay and left. Food is amazing, customer service not so much.

Easily one of the best Greek places in town. No others come close in comparison. Everything is fresh and authentic, and the portions are generous. My favorite dish is the lamb kebab platter, cooked to perfection, always consistent and delicious. Never a disappointing meal to be had here. One of Bossier’s best kept secrets!

I’m rating this place on a curve. :) I’ve had some AMAZING Mediterranean food while home in California this past month. However, based on Greek food in town, I’ll give this four stars. Back home it would be a 3. Anyway– As far as Greek food in the Shreveport-Bossier area goes, this place may be the best in town. I was disappointed to see the lack of a lunch special menu. The prices were a little steep. The décor wasn’t special at all. However, I really enjoyed my meal here. I ordered the Chicken Shwarma plate. From my table I could see the cook wearing gloves. Yay!!! My chicken was heavenly. The rice was tasty. The hummus and pita were dreamy. The salad was delectable and flavorful. The portion size was huge. My only suggestion is perhaps a garlic-yogurt sauce drizzled over the shwarma. That would make it tops. I’d like to say I’ll be back in tomorrow, but at $ 13.99 for my plate, I’ll have to hold off a bit longer. Still, super food!!!

Mid-rare lamb kabob was very good. But I overheard they ran out of several things, including potatoes and rice.

I really loved the lamb chops, they were cooked to perfection and served when they were at the right temp. I hate food cooked correct and then served cold. This did not happen here. I believe that the hummas was freshly made, very smooth and flavorful. This place is in plain sight, but most just drive by and keep going. I believe the issue is the advertising and the exterior view of the building. The food is not the issue, I am glad that I can get a table while if I was in another place would need to wait for a table at lunch. This is a nice small family owned local business that does a great job providing a quality Greek meal at a good price.

As always the Greek Corner never fails to deliver. The waitress was exceptional, and the chef’s gyros are amazing. It’s always worth our 2 ½ hrs drive to dine here.

We have gone here twice. We ordered food to-go both times. We were very happy with our food but did have issues both times. The first time we went they were out of two items we tried to order and the second time they actually had to call in another chef to cook an is we ordered off the menu. As a result the 15 minute wait turned into a 40 minute wait. Food was delicious both times and the servers were very friendly. I love the chicken and my husband loves the lamb – though he does wish the lamb dish came witb a bit more meat like the chicken dish.

I love Greek food. I have eaten some of the best from NYC to LA and this place is all around terrible. From the people living in the back to the terrible food. I really wish it was awesome, I really do, but it failed.

It is rare I take the time to write a review, but this place is worth it! I love Greek food and realize it is hard to find in this part of the country. I have sampled Greek Cuisine in different parts of the US as well as abroad, and this is good stuff! After reading the other reviews I agree with the food reviews. Excellent! I indulged in the hummus, traditional gyro & baklava… all made fresh on the premises. In regards to the service, it’s typical of many Mediterranean places, very friendly but slower than fast food. Just get over the American mindset, sit down, relax, & enjoy. I’m not in the area often, but will definitely return here for good Greek food! Stop in. You’ll be glad you did!

I can’t remember why this place was so great when we first moved to the area a year ago. The service is slow, the food takes forever, they’re always out of half the menu and the food isn’t as great as it once was. This is our 5th visit here, the first 2 were amazing, at the 3rd it all went downhill but we keep coming back hoping it’s a fluke. It’s not. I give up. I came in wanting the grilled shrimp platter but they were out of shrimp, and rice. Not that it matters because I didn’t want it but they were out of Baba Ganoush too. I settled for the Chicken Panini and it was ok but the fries(which I remember being addictive in the past) tasted like the fries at Burger King. I had asked for a side Greek salad but I guess the waitress forgot. That’s just the food, that’s not taking in the slow, inattentive service. They have 1 waitress but there was only 4 of us(2 tables) dining so there’s no excuse for it. 1 stars because the refill of the lemon mint teas tasted right, the first serving tasted like sugar water. Summary: Service is bad, the food quality has gone downhill and for what you get(that’s if you even get what you ordered) it’s all overpriced. Another restaurant off my list.

Food is good. Service is terrible. I waited to eat here 3 times before I wrote a review. I was hoping that each time that it was a fluke. Stay away if you are pressed for time. NOT a good choice for lunch. Very good food though.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here one night just wanting something a little different. The place was mostly empty but the service was very friendly and nice. We ended up starting with the appetizer plate. The dolmas were rolled very tightly and the flavor was delicious. Loved the fresh tzatziki sauce and hummus! They also had hot pita bread and their version of cheese sticks which were mozzarella cheese baked in phyllo dough. Wow, those things were tasty! I had the gyro which was very flavorful and satisfying, I couldn’t even finish it. My boyfriend had the beef kabob plate and while the meat was a little dry, it had a good flavor and came with a fantastically fresh greek salad. He thought the potatoes were good as well. I think our meal came out to $ 25 which was a great deal for two drinks, appetizers and two entrees. I would recommend this place who’s looking for Greek and doesn’t want to drive all the way to Yeero Yeero. The food is yummy and the service is fast and pleasant. Overall a go.

First time for us. Nice staff, greeted us as soon as we opened the door, seated ourselves and ordered drinks quickly. Lebanese music was fun to hear on the stereo. The décor is simple and clean, with nice Mediterranean murals depicted on the side walls. Kids both ordered popcorn shrimp plates, wife had the beef kabob sandwich and I ordered the beef kabob platter. Owner’s daughter brought the kids plates out first, but dropped some shrimp and fries off of one of the plates as she rounded the corner. Owner quickly shooshed her into the back, and we could tell that they just evened out the portions between the two plates. Seriously? Beef kabob plate was so-so. First of all, way too much food for such a tiny plate.(Look at the photo I posted.) Almost overlooked the hummus, which was hidden under everything else. The hummus was runnier than I expect of greek eateries, like it was over processed, or from a can. The beef kabobs themselves are generously sized, even if some of them were a bit tough to chew. The other half of the portion was tender. Flavorful spanakopita, but they cheat: the spanakopita is wrapped in asian rice eggroll wrappers, not phyllo dough, to which I am accustomed. The accompanying tzatziki is very good. The baklava was good, but not the best I’ve had in Shreveport. Overall, based on this first visit, Greek Corner is relegated to 4th Place for S-B, IMHO. Athena, Albasha, and Yeero-Yeero all offer better.
