Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bossier City

I have been here a few times over the last year or so. The location is good because the accounts I am visiting are on to the east. Another thing I like is that this location is a bit more quiet than most. And, the girl at the desk is always friendly, so another good thing going for them.
I have had a few weird instances in the past, but nothing like this last trip… Checked in for 2 nights, room was OK. After first night, I left early in the morning for work. I did not use a «do not disturb» sign, and I left all of my stuff in the room, so it was obvious I was not going anywhere. Gone all day, I come back at 5 PM to find the room is not made up. I then check the hallways for housekeeping: Long Gone! Bed was as I had left it, trash and garbage still in the room, used towels untouched on the bathroom floor. Now here’s the weird part; although nothing was done to the room, the remote for the TV had been swapped out with a completely different model than what I used the night before. So maybe that just took all of their energy and effort, and they had nothing left for cleaning the room.
The question in most folks minds at this point is «why didn’t you say something?». For me, it’s too little too late. The best I could have done was insist on moving to another room, which I did not want to do (that’s why I booked for 2 nights), and the fact that housekeeping was already gone meant that anything done to the room was going to be by me, Mr. Maid. So, no way. There were plenty of other signs of sloppiness in this room and the others I have had, but for the most part I am willing to overlook things and just grit it out. The deal with the remote is almost spooky-​replace one completely functional remote with another, while not noticing that the room needs to be cleaned.

Very nice hotel to stay when your traveling as a business person or personal leisure while your traveling through Louisiana. Close distance to a bank, restaurants and a casino woo hoo big winner! The suites are very nice and very easy to walk in and out of. The beds are awesome and the TV’s in some suites are nice which I like the sofa bed one. The rest rooms in the suites are nice and modern. The WIFI is great when your doing business work or keeping up with emails or talking to someone via Facetime if you have an Apple computer or any other messenger with webcam.
Rachel P. helped me getting checked along with my family. Rachel is a very nice lady and very helpful as well! She deserves a raise she went out of her way to make sure we are taken care of since we been on the road for the past four days and she wanted to make sure everything was ready when we checked in.
Seriously Rachel went out of her way compared to some other staff members at other Holiday Inn Expresses & Suites around the state. She deserves a reward like I said above maybe free dinner some where nice for her and her loving family.

This is my hotel of choice when traveling through the Shreveport/​Bossier City area! I prefer this location because it is right off 220 next to the horse track, giving quick access to I-​20 with ramps that don’t endanger my life! I don’t have to deal with navigating through busy streets and the bumpy, rough parts of I-​20.
The staff here has always been accommodating, allowing for early check-​in or late check out when circumstances warrant it. Amenities included are: complimentary breakfast (hey it’s not 5-​star dining but remember that breakfast is the most important meal of the day to get you up for the daily grind), in-​room fridge & microwave, and free wi-​fi (which can be intermittent if it’s a busy night). There are two
elevators and stairs at both ends of the hallway. Also, the rooms are consistently comfortable and clean. I’ve never had any problems during my stays.
I appreciate the welcoming Holiday Inn Express staff that deliver great service!

This Holiday Inn Express deserved four stars, the person who cleaned our room deserved to be fired. I guess that nets to a 3.
The check in was quick and friendly. The place was pretty empty and the hostess tried to give us a first floor room. With no push back she kindly moved us up to the fourth floor. It was obviously unused by anyone but us because the place was absolutely quiet. Nothing did we hear. What a relief after a week of traveling.
The room was clean and solid. Bed was a perfect bed we come to expect at Holiday Inn Express. This time the pillows were «firm». I seem to enjoy them better than the «soft» versions.
Surprisingly, the elevator was filthy. No one here, but no one cleaning the thing. Must have been the same person who cleaned our bathroom. While the room was clean, they totally missed the bathroom. Do they have different people doing it or did someone skip a step? There was used soap in the shower, shampoo wrappers on the drain. Large & green — how did they miss that? Really freaked out my wife the next morning. By then, too late. We brushed our teeth and took a shower at the next stop.
Go again? Yes. Hopefully the person asleep on the job is working somewhere else. I’d fully check the room after coming in to move if warranted.
