Great time killer before a movie. Theater very close by. Something else to do while out on a date at The Boardwalk. Something different. Most games are 2 tokens or 50 cents total. I think your girl will have a good time, and maybe you can win her a decent prize by winning tickets from skee ball. You can show her what a skee ball warrior you are. She will be impressed. Skee ball’s where it’s at!

Ignore the ankle-biting children! Adults can have just as much fun in this arcade without looking creepy or feeling self conscious. We first wandered into Island Fun Arcade while having too much time on our hands waiting for a movie to start at Regal Cinemas(just a short walk away). I am so glad we stopped in! Now I want to go play everytime we pass by. They have Skee-Ball! Woo-hoo! Five-bucks and you can go wild for a good hour or more throwing Skee-ball. The high-tech electronic games will obviously set you back a bit more, but that’s the appeal of this place — there are games to fit every wallet and every preference. Retro games, yep, they’ve got a few of them too. The Good: When the machine ate my tokens the staff was really helpful — they fixed the machine quickly and threw in some extra tokens. It’s clean, well lit and cheerful. Everyone has fun. The Bad: I suppose the prizes are cheap and silly, but they appeal to kids. We give our tickets away anyway.

Nestled amongst stores and restaurants in the Louisiana Boardwalk is this little gem. It is an arcade with lots of «working» games that will keep your children entertained for a while. Nothing is more annoying than watching your child waste tokens on games that are out of order but lack a sign. Not here, everything was serviced and working fine. Most games were one or 2 tokens and you could get a good amount of tickets playing the games. This of course leads up to a bunch of super prizes that are within the range of being able to acquire tickets. $ 10 buys you 40 tokens and $ 20 buys you 80 tokens. My five year old had a blast playing many of the games, but they also have a bunch of games for older kids too. He hit several bonuses on the games and got over 500 tickets. We walked out of there with a tiger on a stick(tacky yes, but he wanted it), a light saber, mickey mouse dominoes, and a stuffed crayon. The guys behind the prize counter are super helpful and really nice. This is a good place to go when you want to entertain the little ones for a bit. Food and drink isn’t allowed which could be viewed as a drawback, but the place isn’t dirty or trashy with food and wrappers, which is definitely an upside. The décor is also cute with an island tiki theme.
