Do not recommend, mediocre food and bad service… definitely better places around in the price range

Great experience! Friendly Staff and food was great! I had the ribeye and my husband had the cowboy combo. Both were delicious. Our waiter was Jamie(male) he gave us excellent service! We will be back!

My family and I went there last night 3÷28÷15. After we were seated it took the waitress 5 minutes to get to our table. After finally bringing our drinks she stated that she was bringing us silverware, rolls and plates. She brought rolls but no silverware, napkins or plates. After about another five minutes we had to ask another waitress for silverware and plates. The food took 20 minutes to come out. Normally on a Saturday night that would be okay but they were not busy at all. When the food did come, they forgot my wife’s meal and they forgot to put bread on my daughter’s sliders. It took them another 5 minutes for my wife to get her food and it took them 10 minutes for my daughter to get buns for her sliders. As we had so much time waiting I was paying attention to the other tables and they were having food missing when delivered and taking a long time as well. The food was not good to say the least. My wife ate three bites and had to stop. The rest of the food that everyone else got was not good. Everyone left at least half the food on the plates. Will we ever go back there? No! The food is overpriced. The service is horrible and the food is not good.

During lunch today my friend told me her horror story about her recent visit here. I cringed because I had just purchased a Groupon and had already dealt with one bad experience this week(see my review for China Inn). But of course, as luck would have it, by the time dinner rolled around, my kitchen began to resemble a 19th century workhouse. I swear shackles began to appear near the bottom of my oven. The sink sprouted a cat o’ nine tails. I just couldn’t bring myself to go in there. So it was the perfect opportunity to compare notes. Service was fine. There were a few very minor issues. For instance, when I request no bacon on my baked potato, I expect, that when I order the side salad, to be asked if I wanted the bacon taken off of that as well. It’s not a huge deal(I actually do like bacon, just not mixed into stuff), but it was something that had I been a server, I wouldn’t have missed. I ordered my steak medium rare and it came out medium. I did ask that they forget the onions for my salad … And it came out with onions. They were only two small rings and were easy to remove. Our server apologized profusely but I assured her it wasn’t a big deal. I also didn’t send the steak back because it seems to be a common problem and really, it was only one setting off. Plus I didn’t want to wait. I think that individually had these things occurred that I wouldn’t deduct a full star, but altogether, I did. Our server was bubbly and kind and very thorough. She interacted with the boys and knew her menu. The rolls were very good and hot and when they ran out, we were offered more. My salad was great and the blue cheese was fresh(well, maybe fresh isn’t the right word for describing a moldy cheese — ha). My baked potato was odd. The rounded scoop of butter on top looked very fake(it was SO yellow!). I paid for the«loaded potato» because when I said I wanted butter, sour cream and chives, she said, «so loaded then?» And I said sure. But it also came with cheese and the bacon(that they correctly excluded). So now I’m wondering if butter, sour cream and chives doesn’t come on the normal potato? Anyway. The potato sure tasted good. It was oiled and salted on the outside and the skin was crispy. The steak was super yummy. Perfectly seasoned. My youngest ordered the burrito and loved it. It was huge. The oldest had a burger and said it was good and he’d get it again. The husband had fried catfish(WHY???) and said it was just okay. The taters were amazing. Our server brought refills in to-go cups. I found the prices to be very reasonable. We would probably return unless we find a steakhouse just as budget friendly that we like. Or if they build a Ruth’s Chris :) Of course, if we have a nightmare experience like our friend did next time, we wouldn’t go back.

The reviews were mixed but most have a common theme: poor service. I decided to give them a try, as I have been staying in the area for over a year now and keep running out of new places to try. I sat at the bar and first clue that this night was not going to go well: when the bartender took an order from a patron standing next to me, instead of taking mine as I was sitting at the bar with a menu in front of me. Gee, maybe I was there first! The bar was staffed by one person, so you would think that she would spend most of the time BEHINDTHEBAR; nope! She was all over the place, disappearing into the kitchen, walking around, cleaning some tables, chatting, etc. After about 20min of sitting with my beer and menu, I finally was able to get her attention. I had a full slab, which was pretty good; but it was not a full slab as it should have been, instead it was a plate with several end sections of a full slab. Basically anyone ordering a ½ slab got the top half and I ended up with 2.5 pieces of the lower half portion. It was meaty and fall off the bone as promised, but it was not a FULLRACK. As the bartender was nowhere to be found and not wanting to wait another hour(yep 1 hour from time I sat down to get my ribs) I just ate it. Getting a second mug of beer was challenging, but I was finally able to flag her down. Same to get the check. Then I placed my cc on the check and after about 15min; gave up and had to call for her to ring it up. She seemed nice and was all smiles, but service delivery and attentiveness was awful. Service: Zero stars Food: Ribs 2 stars, side of sweet potato(not good) and slaw(not good). Overall: One star, because there is no option for no stars. Also as side note, 16oz draft at the bar is supposed to be $ 3, but she rung up $ 4.25 for each. I did not bother for a correction, as I did not have all night to wait for a new check, etc. Will not be coming back.

Well they didn’t know we were here at first but the waiter was super cool and apologetic. And turned out to be a great server… Starts with some bread and cinnamon butter. Delicious … Well my sons Mac and cheese was TERRIBLE. Absolute crap… My death burger was good but not worth 11 $. Wife’s ribs wear surprisingly great! And you can’t mess up a baked potato. 2.4 at best. But with a military discount I’m comfortable with giving a 3.

Food is ok… Everything is just ok. Prices are much too high for quality of food but in a pinch it will do.

Very inviting décor. Super rustic. You get the peanut-shells-on-the– floor, good time country feel. You are greeted with peanuts and hot dinner rolls when you sit down. I wasn’t big on the sweet cinnamon butter, but others loved it. Half priced appetizers were a plus. Queso and chips were excellent. The other diners at my table got chicken tenders which were very good and the Good Time burger which was excellent. Their Sante Fe taters were wonderful-very well seasoned skillet potatoes with peppers and onions. My food, however, was less than awesome. I had the sirloin strip enchiladas with the Santa Fe rice. The rice was very different, but not my favorite. My biggest complaint was that the sirloin in my enchiladas was cooked to death. Grayish colored and super tough. It was really dark on the edges like it was cut far in advance and left out to dry. The guacamole tasted like the weird texture you’d get from a tub at the grocery store, not fresh guacamole. Kind of sad since I was really excited about trying this place. Our server was super nice and helpful. Not a total loss, maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Four stars just in case…

Completely average food and experience. I was excited about his restaurant, but it’s not worth my time and money. There are so many places that are better in town.

I tried to like this place, I really did. I tried it again last night, even after 2 other miserable experiences here. The queso is good. That’s about the only good thing I can say. Service is mediocre at best. Last time I was there the waitress charged my card for my friends meal too… and never told me. Last nights waitress was decent but who brings an order of queso and toothpicks to a table of five and makes them have to ask to get plates? I won’t be back. There are too many other places within a 5 mile radius of here that are way better.

Our visit was very poor. Wont be back. We visited on Sat about 6pm. Everyone around us was complaining. The waitress sucked, she never refilled our drinks. Brought out my 9 yr old sons burger 10 min after our food was brought. The steak was over cooked & we sent it back. We waited for a nice dinner at $ 20 for a meal each & was very unhappy. If the steak would have been cooked proper & the waitress would have cared maybe it would have been a better experiance.

Good queso! We were told 39 – 45 minute wait on a Friday night. Exactly 30 minutes, was seated and like lightning we had appetizer, drinks and shortly thereafter had entrée. Chicken was good, rice flavorful. Seasoned fries were really good. I would definitely come back. Good family atmosphere.

The queso is awesome. The rest of the food, not so much. Waiter forgot a lot of stuff. Some of the food came out cold. Salmon very bland and dry. Lettuce soggy. Won’t be going back. Go to Texas Roadhouse! Much better food.

A new spot with reasonably quick service. Also gives military discount. gives Texas Roadhouse a run for its money. Not bad.

Nice atmosphere but not a steak house. Rolls are excellent and staff are very friendly. If you are going for beef, stay away.

What a great experience! Opening nite plus one and everything looked great from our point-of-view. Wait was 20 min ish… again not bad for a Fri nite at 6ish. They were turning tables like crazy. The high lite of the nite was the service. On a 10 point scale, S****** was a 20. I have had wait staff I would score as 11s, 12s, even a 15 or two… but she made our experience extra nice. We will be back soon just because of the excellent service. A few quibbles… no free WiFi. The beer selection seemed small if you are in to that. The ribeye was cut on the thin side. Wife’s steak was slightly overcooked, but she likes it a bit more done… mine was fine. The butter for the rolls… well better like cinnamon. These are small things. The drink menu was interesting, again, if you are into that. They have Coronoritas and several other interesting drinks. The variety of menu items means several return trips to sample various offerings. Texas Roadhouse was a favorite of ours but now they have competition for our dining dollars.
