I received a gift certificate for a sitting fee and 8×10 print after purchasing a new home. I emailed Robert inquiring about a possible appointment to use my certificate. We played phone tag back and forth for a week or two, but the day my gift certificate expired, he stopped calling me. This was frustrating considering I said in the email and on the voicemails I left that I work during the day, and it is difficult to answer my phone. I suggested he email me a few times, and he never did. Seems like a flake to me.

Sadly, I think this location of Bachrach Photographers has closed. I stopped by on my recent trip to Boston to see my relatives’ family business. I snapped a nice photo by the sign which was still there but the elevator would not take us to the indicated floor… My parents’ house has several copies of the Bachrach Photography book(on Amazon, etc I think) as we seem to be collecting them ;) When I was about 4, I was in the New Yorker in an ad for Bachrach Photography :)(fame=fun!). I enjoyed writing school papers about my distant relatives who had«shot every president since Lincoln.» As in, they took photos of every single president from Lincoln through Clinton. Then the presidents decided not to cooperate as much…

We got a gift certificate for a free 8×10 from our seller’s real estate agent as a ‘thank you’ gift. The photos turned out really good! You actually get to see and choose them a few minutes after the shoot is over. It was hard to choose one photo, since so many were so good. We ended up buying an extra set of wallets. They also keep your photos/negatives for several years, so you can re-order if you want. When we got the 8×10, it was mounted on a thick board, with the photo mounted on top of it. It was quality workmanship, since I can’t tell if it was glued on, or printed on to this special board/paper.
