Banana Republic

My experience here this past weekend was extremely pleasant. The staff was very nice and the sales were AWESOME! I got a $ 130 jacket for $ 25! This is the only BR I’ve been to in Boston, but I was pretty impressed with their clearance section and this past weekend they had a deal where you could take an extra 50% off sale items. Amazing! I’ll definitely keep my eye on this place.

I like the clothes in general, but this location needs some help. The staff can be kind of pushy and repetitive when it comes to informing customers about sale items and signing up for BR’s credit card (yeah, right!). Furthermore, it didn’t seem to matter which rack of men’s shirts I was looking through, I’d say about 80% of the «new» shirts had black smudges (grease, ink?) on them. Yuck! Also, when I finally found and purchased a clean shirt, I later realized that the cashier somehow forgot to remove the security tag. This meant a trip back to the store the following day to have it removed (i.e., extra trip and time wasted for me). The girl at the counter apologized and was really nice about it, even though it wasn’t her mistake. Conclusion: I’ll go here in a pinch, but will likely do the bulk of my shopping at other locations. Plus, Quincy Mkt. area is tourist hell.

Anyplace with a sale rack with things 80% off makes me happy. :)
It’s like every other BR in the United States so nothing new to report there.
