Ehh. I really wish I could like this place, but it’s just not that great. I’ve been twice, and both times were pretty unenjoyable. Aside from their extremely small portions, high prices, and rude staff, they have a pretty cool selection of menu items that you can try. However, I tried the buffalo chicken and cheeseburger burritos before and both have not impressed me in the slightest. Staff has been rude both times I’ve gone — I asked how big the sizes were and she rolled her eyes at me before flicking her finger up, signaling me to look at the menu. … I was asking for more of a physical size, but ok. Waiting for your food is less of a pain, but still soooo slow. One thing I would recommend, though, is the kale smoothie. It was expensive as crap but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t good. Otherwise, I’d recommend going to Qdoba on the other side of the street.

Decent food, but I don’t see the point in paying that much money for such a mediocre meal. If you’re hungry, it will get the job done; however, don’t expect it to be the best food to hit your craving spot.

Super fast service, delicious modern Mexican food, & a fabulous price! Gabe(the manager, I think) is super friendly & helpful! Always a gentleman. Love this place & will come back often! The teriyaki burrito is fantastic!

Food: 3⁄5 Stars Service: 4⁄5 Stars Ordered the Thai Burrito after an MFA trip and it came with a ton of onions! That was not listed on the menu /ingredients list. Also the rice inside the burrito was too dry and I thought that the flavor was very bland inside. Guess there’s not much to expect from a Boloco but maybe next time.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this isn’t the place. However, I do like their concept — «international» burritos with fresh ingredients. I’ve gotten a make it yourself burrito here and honestly I thought Q’doba was better. I’ve also had some of their other burritos from catered food: Summer Steak: Only one worth getting. Steak is chewy, burrito is interesting without being too weird. Buffalo Chicken: I’m personally not a fan of buffalo sauce so I disliked this one. Classic Mexican: Boring. Next. Bangkok Thai: Absolutely disgusting. Cucumbers in a burrito should not be a thing. Their one redeeming quality, however, and the thing I get(though it’s expensive) if I’m looking for a healthy option at Northeastern, is their New England Harvest Salad. It’s fresh and delicious. The ingredients combine together wonderfully; the mushrooms and quinoa really bulk the salad up so that a small bowl is filling enough. They also do have pretty good guac(again, my experience with this is from their catering). You can tell it’s made with actual avocado and the cilantro at the top is a nice addition. Again, nothing against Boloco, but I would prefer to spend my money somewhere else if I were to get burritos. Being from Southern California, I’m pretty picky.

I usually order the bangkok Thai, teriyaki, or the classic Mexican. The food is alright but always keeps me full. It is a little pricey though for just a burrito. I would say the northeastern location is the best because they always fill the burritos since the customers are usually hungry college students. I always pay with levelup because of the point rewards system they have.

They weren’t kidding when a mini sized burrito is really… mini. Considering that we live in America and everything is super sized and everything nowadays is in huge portions, I was super surprised that Boloco offered a mini size burrito. So, as a Boloco virgin, I walked in and ordered a mini burrito. To satisfy my burrito craving, I ordered the Mexican flavored one… which was just ok. I’m from California, the burrito state, so I definitely had better. This is a good substitute for now… but the burrito was SO small. It was almost too cute to eat, haha. When I asked the cashier to go easy on the beans, he put a small splatter and asked it if was ok. It was literally 10 beans or something. I thought he was kidding… but I guess the burrito wasn’t supposed to fit that much. In the end, I finished the burrito in 3 minutes or so, trying to savor each bite. I’m definitely interested in trying the Thai flavored one in the near future. Not sure how I feel about the other combination of flavors(ie., teriyaki in a tortilla?)

What’s not to love? Great menu like all other Boloco and friendly staff.

Super fast and great food. Boloco is probably my favorite ‘fast food’ place. Their specials are always on point as well, I’d wish they’d just add to their menu! Don’t think of it as a mexican place. Yeah, they sell burritos. but they’re global burritos. All different styles of food wrapped into a tortilla.

This place is one of the best as far as burritos. It’s so addicting to the point I usually go 3 times a week. The buffalo chicken burrito is great but make sure to hit the coke freestyle machine first.

The portion sizes have been getting smaller and smaller. Today I order a Big Bowl and it wasn’t even half full. It had the same amount of food as an original size burrito, so I really don’t know what I paid the extra $ 2 for. Take a look at the pic… I was shocked!

Californians stay away! There is only disappointment for you here. However, after years of being subjected to their glorified wraps, it does start to grow on you. A buffalo chicken burrito? Why not! Cole slaw and masala sauce? Well… Hmm… While customization is nice and all, sometimes what you really need is a real burrito.

I have become a loyal customer because the food is great, the employees are always enthusiastic and the prices are reasonable. I have consistently seen positive marketing and love the interaction between company and customer(via twitter and social media). You can tell this is a business that treats its people right and there’s nothing better than that. Except when their food is just as good!

This Boloco is really clean and quite expansive compared to my home turf location, but as I strayed away from of my usual Boloco, I also strayed away from my favorite items on the menu and tried something new just for fun. It was terrible. While this sun filled Boloco seemed to be just as kind and gracious as my sweet, elderly in-laws, they share a similar attribute; some of their meals can be really appalling. I decided to try the Tikka Masala in a bowl.(Note that you can get these in a variety of sizes and also in a wrap.) I ordered it with tofu, and also picked up a bottled water. After forking over 9 $, I watched while one of the very pleasant servers ladled out a large mound of brown rice, three miniature pieces of raw broccoli that might satisfy a dieting rodent, two pieces of gloppy looking tofu that had clearly been sitting around, and then covered it all with a blob of yellowish sauce. I make rice bowls all the time and know what goes in them. This was one of the most disappointing meals I have had in Boston. The rice was dry and undercooked, the three stray clippings of broccoli were old and brown, and the sauce was totally struggling with issues of boredom and blahness. There really was no flavor at all. I was famished, but just like turkey day at my in-laws, I departed with a cavern in my tummy and a sad feeling of dissatisfaction. I did enjoy sitting outside in the sunshine, and I enjoyed my cold bottled water. The location on Huntington Avenue is a good one. But that meal, the Tikka Masala, was an unfortunate blot on an otherwise perfect day. Send this one to the retirement center, Boloco.

Staff is cool. Food is tight. Wait times are sometimes not super awesome. It can get a little bit messier than one might prefer during busier times. The available seating in the restaurant may also be insufficient when it’s busy, this is compensated by the seating available inside the Marino center and the outdoor seating which is abundant. Some of the sauces aren’t great examples of those particular sauces. Go here I guess. or qdoba if you wanna be a corporate whore

What is this sad excuse for a Chipotle wannabe? I feel bad for the East Coast people that haven’t tried Chipotle yet. This is definitely the worst meal I had in Boston and perhaps the biggest waste of money for a burrito ever.

I can understand you questioning my 4-star rating of Boloco, but I can’t help but be addicted to it’s range of wraps, burritos, and smoothies. I’ve been patroning this particular location for years, and while the staff(mostly students) turns over pretty frequently, there’s a consistency to the quality that speaks of good training. My largest gripe: this location, unlike most others, schedules around the Northeastern calendar, and is typically closed during holiday breaks and intersession. While this is more than understandable, it can be frustrating for year-round patrons. Finally, don’t be afraid to try the tofu. It’s got a nice firm texture and is great in almost all the wraps/burritos(buffalo and teriaki above all others).

I am a huge fan of Boloco — this location in particular is great at moving people through so don’t let a long line of students, confused visiting parents or groups of staff members deter you. I went in to try one of the new burritos — The Spicy BLT. It was OK. I think I’m just too in love with the Yucatan Habanero. My one Boloco improvement — I wish that they would ask(even if just on occasion) if you have a Boloco card, or «Would you like me to swipe your Boloco card?» because I often forget! And they won’t give you a receipt unless you ask… so you cannot redeem the points later. Other than that — I LOVEBOLOCO!

Good job on the marketing and play with words. «Boloco…inspired burritos». Than this place did its job. Their burritos hopes to one day inspire to become a good stainable burrito. I really can’t say anything good about their food because every time I have it, it really disappoints me. Flavors are wacky and it doesn’t taste like a burrito you would get from a Anna’s or Boca grande. They really should advertise as inspired wraps… to be honest. It is more than that than anything mexican. Don’t waste your $ on chips or guacamole… not good! I would only recommend their shakes/smoothies and go in to suck up their AC and wi-fi. Decent.
