Less than impressed. The Chinese spiced pork was pretty awful, poor quality, barely spiced and didn’t fit, in terms of taste, with the rest of the sandwich ingredients. The star of the sandwich was actually the bread. Service was also quite lackluster.

I have been a big fan of this restaurant since June. Getting lunch or dinner here a couple days a week is totally worth it. Food is pretty healthy, what impressed me the most is how quick the services are. My food is ready before I walked down the line, or before I finished paying! My favorite drink was Thai Basil Limade, super refreshing! But now they have a new drink called the green milk tea! Pair it with boba, trust me, you wont regret it.

Bön Me is a place I have been going for a few years, but up until 6 months ago, it was the food truck. With a new job location, I’m walking distance to the Fort Point brick and mortar. Here’s the thing — I don’t care how authentic this place is, I really don’t. That said, the dining area is clean, the staff is not only friendly, but efficient as well. The reason I am 3-starring it is because while it would normally get a solid 4 stars(the trucks do), this location seems a little inconsistent. One time I got a noodle bowl and was a little long in getting around to eating it, an the noodles were a goopy, congealed mess. Something fatty solidified and the consistency was as if you took the back of a spoon and smeared Crisco all over the noodles. It was very off-putting and I haven’t ordered a noodle bowl since. The rice bowl and the salad bowl with BBQ pork are on point, but again, I have noticed a little inconsistency with both the flavor and the portion size. The coconut chicken, when they have it, is wonderful. I come here because despite the line reaching out the door and around the ramp(or the entry way of the building if you haven’t been since they opened the back door), they move fast! I’ve been in lines 18 people deep and still walked back to work within 10 minutes, food in hand. Bonus, I’ve been told by staff that if you ask for extra vegetables, there is no add-on charge. So far it has worked for me, though I haven’t done a weight comparison. Bön Me is a solid go to spot that almost always hits the mark for reasonably priced, reasonable portioned tasty food. Brick & Mortar: You get 3 stars. South Station Food Truck: You get 4 stars.

First time trying it out after hearing about it from a friend. Spotted the truck on Kilby st. I tried their BBQ Chicken sub. It wasn’t bad but not authentic at all – very Americanized. The french bread they used was good and tasted fresh. It’s a bit pricey compared to authentic Vietnamese subs. I placed an order of 2 subs and 2 drinks and it cost close to $ 20. I had their coffee and it wasn’t that great. It tasted like chocolate – not even close to the real thing.

I’ve tried both the noodles and the rice. The noodles were okay, maybe a bit bland(with tofu). Consistency can definitely be a bit off. The rice is a little hard sometimes, but when it’s not, it’s sooooo good with all that delicious tofu. They also have drinks! I think the thai tea is too sweet but love how you can add boba. Also, they move long lines like pros which is why I always come back.

Simple food choices, very tasty and extremely quick service. Their blood orange tea is also awesome.

There are some places where you have to cruise the whole menu before you find what you really want to eat, and there are places like Bön Me. I suspect that everything on the menu is fantastic, but I have no way to determine this, because the noodle salad, with soba noodles, spicy peanut dressing, and tofu, is so perfect a lunch that I’ll probably come here once a week until the end of time… and I’ll never want anything else!

I’ve always enjoyed the Bön Me food truck. I was excited to learn about the new shop on Congress Street. I was greatly disappointed in the menu selection. I’d think it would have more fillings. just had bbq pork and spiced chicken when i visited. i ordered the sandwich to go and apparently they forgot how to make the sandwich. No pâté, daikon or cucumber just lots of carrots, onions and mayo. I was extremely disappointed.

Do not make the mistake and get the rice. The noodle salad is the way to go! I got it with the soba noodles, which comes cold but they are delicious. It comes with shredded carrots, mesclun, onions and cilantro which is a great add on. Love how you can build your own little meal here. They have great options with noodle salad, rice bowl, sand which or salad. And you add the fillers you want. It’s pretty cool. One last thing. Do not forget to drizzle some Sriracha on whatever you get. That is a given.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed as I love, love Vietnamese sandwiches and this place was so well rated. I don’t think they put all the toppings on. I didn’t taste the bean paste, not a lot of spicy mayo and it was def missing cilantro & radish. Bummer bc I think it’s these extra favors that make These so yummy. If it had all the ingredients I’m sure it would have been amazing.

Wow. Just went to the location in Kendall and was wowed by them. This was just disappointing. The portion of the noodle salad was so dingy compared to kendall and there simply isn’t any customer service. The girl took my order with an annoyed face. The pork was so salty I couldn’t eat it all. Barely any leaves and radishes in there. I didn’t pay 8.56 for a bite of app. The portion at kendall was not big but it was satisfying and reasonable. More leaves n radishes etc. Pork was not salty like this location. Seems there’s no consistency with bon me from visiting this location.

All the flavors you’ve come to know and love from Bön Me — conveniently bricked and mortared for you fine folk of the Innovation District. And if you don’t know and love it yet, dive into a responsibly boxed spice rubbed chicken thighs over soba noodles with spicy peanut dressing. Thank me in cold hard $$$. Not that the fine folk of the Innovation District have been starving for Bön Me’s arrival, as the truck is serial parker along the Greenway near South Station. But now you’re in and out faster than ever, with production and facilities to crank out 32 orders in 14 minutes(I counted), and cozy seating that surpasses the Kendall Square locale. The one significant note: my portioning was half what the Kendall shop and the trucks serve. Much like a good book, I know the weight of a Bön Me noodle salad, and this guy had my arm floating upwards like when you grab a plastic mug thinking it’s glass. You know what I’m talking about. I know you do. For a groupie like me, it stings to find such a deviation in consistency. On the plus, the spicy peanut sauce was FIRE. Like mixtape hot. Like liked on FB. Liiiiiiiiked. Speaking of mixtape, supafly soundtrack will kill your sonic hunger as per the uje. Just fill those boxes, though!

I really like Bön Me, but I think the Fort Point location is still a work in progress. Compared to their other brick & mortar location in Kendall Square, Fort Point’s offerings are pretty weak. They don’t have the noodle soups as often as Kendall, and when they do, they run out super quickly. Their social media accounts also don’t really follow up with the Fort Point location. E.g. they’ll post something about Kendall having a 3 cup chicken special, and not mention anything about Fort Point. It seems like they are still trying to figure out their hours too. While Fort Point becomes more and more residential, I assume they will start to stay open past 8PM on a Friday night. Food wise, I don’t think it is as consistent as the food trucks or Kendall. I’m a big fan of the soba noodle salads with tofu(and any of the dressings). The first time I went here, my salad was way over dressed. The next time, I asked for less dressing and it was way better, but the portion was noticeably smaller(I had to eat 2 choco chip cookies to fill my stomach after finishing my noodle salad). The good news is that I’m sure they will fix these little kinks in no time. The trucks are often on Dewey Square which is only a short walk away.

This was my first time at Bön Me. I thought the menu looked great and got the noodle salad with pork to go. When I got home and started eating, I noticed that the meat was room temperature. No problem, the salad is supposed to be cold anyway, I thought. So I continue eating, then I get to the bottom of my box and I see white. What is this? I push it around with my chopsticks and realize that it’s solidified fat from the pork. EWW. I threw the rest away because I did not want to eat solid lard.

Started at the foodtruck, now they’re here. This restaurant is beautiful inside! Today was their first day open, the line was nearly out the door, and the wait time was minimal. They know what they’re doing from their food truck experience, and it’s translated perfectly into a brick and mortar location. So stoked to have them right in the Fort Point area. Will be eating here frequently. Well done, guys!

Pretty much across the street from the Children’s Museum, Fort Point now welcomes Bön Me’s newest location. According to the design firm behind this new location, they’re located in the oldest, still-standing building in the area but you wouldn’t know it when walking in. A modern, sleek, white décor with LEDs will welcome you alongside a Square-powered POS system. I went with one of their rice bowls with BBQ pork($ 8) which also came with some pickled carrot, daikon, mesclun, bean sprouts, cilantro, shallots, scallions and a soy drizzle. Having never really frequented their truck, I wasn’t too sure what to expect and I found myself devouring away. The smells weren’t all that great however the flavor was there. The pork was terrific and the bowl was very filling and satisfying as well. Service was friendly and very, very quick and left me impressed, especially considering that this was their first day in business. All in all I’m happy to see this place join the area, especially since I’ve exhausted most of my lunch options in the area since starting this job there 10 months ago. A lot of the places usually are pretty underwhelming and pretty boring, or too expensive and this place seems to be right in that sweet spot. I look forward to returning there and trying other menu items of theirs.
