BPE. It got us through college. I remember having to intercept the. «Pizza dude» so i could double fist some slices before the moochers came out of the woodwork to steal my grub. BPE always followed a great night in Boston.

Ordered for delivery. Hate myself for doing so. Got a FAT Hulu girl(extra bacon extra ham and pineapple) there was like 4 pcs of pineapple almost no bacon and ham and it was white like undercooked. Went to trash.

So confused as to how this place has such a bad rap on here. I ordered the chicken and broccoli alfredo last night and it was SO good and arrived at my apartment earlier than estimated. I eat pasta way too often to the point that it’s probably unhealthy, and this was some of the best I’ve ever had delivered. I’ve also had the subs and pizza and have never been disappointed. Give them a chance!

Never EVER ordering from here again! They don’t seem to know the difference between Shawarma and gyro, so when i ordered a beef Shawarma dinner they just sent a gyro wrap on top of rice… then when i called to complain about it i was hung up on the first time, and when i called back and spoke with the manager he rudely kept saying that what i got was right and the gyro and Shawarma were the same and had no care that his customer was dissatisfied. On top of all that the food was terrible. I will NEVER get food from this place again and I recommend you all do the same.

This review is based on the delivery of the BBQ pulled pork and sweet potato fries pizza only(as that is my only experience thus far). Holy moly! Who knew sweet potato fries and pulled pork with BBQ sauce on top of pizza would be so delicious!!! I was nervous about the combo but wanted to try it. I ate an entire pizza in one sitting it was THAT good!

Apparently Boston Pizza Express can’t get its orders right. You build you your sandwich from scratch, so if you want a specific topping, you can check it off as an option. I hate tomatoes, and a lot of restaurants typically miss when I write«no tomatoes» in the special instructions, so the fact that I had the option to start from scratch was a plus. I avoided checking off«tomatoes,» and guess what… it came with tomatoes! Why can this restaurant not get the order correct? Also, I requested melted cheddar cheese on my sub(mostly because I needed to pay the extra few cents to meet the delivery minimum). I expected it to be fresh shredded cheddar melted on my sub. Boy, was I wrong! Turned out to be cheap, cold nacho cheese on my sandwich — ew! So gross! This is such a shame, I enjoyed it better the first time around, guess I am not ordering from here again.

its not good, what else can i say about it. ITS… JUST…NOT…GOOD. I just moved to a new location and trying out some of the local pizza, and this is easily my least favorite of the pizza places I have chosen. You know that commercial that says«It’s Not Delivery. It’s DiGiorno.»? The opposite applies here. «It’s not Digorno, its Delivery»…it just happened to taste like a frozen pizza.

The pizza was burnt, which I was sad about, because it LOOKED good but tasted like licking a grill. The rest of the food was completely cold by the time it got delivered, and the delivery didn’t seem like it took THAT long… awkward. I guess to summarize: I can’t tell you if the food is good or not because I couldn’t get past the charcoal and rock hard fries.

I really have nothing nice to say about this place. I was in the search for a replacement go to pizza place and this one is relatively close to my place, so why not. So i order a small pizza and a side of waffle fries. An hour and 15 min later and no food, i decide to give them a check up call. They tell me that the driver left 10 mins ago and has a couple of stops on the way. Great. what i know at this point: my food is going to be cold. Ok. Fine. Thats what microwaves are for. 25 min later(35 min since the driver has departed and 1 hour 40 min since i have ordered my food) the driver shows up. Of course there is no special pizza box insulator, its just a large black duffel bag(my food is the last thing in there). He gives me my food, no hi/hello/here ya go. May as well have been a mute for all i know. I get upstairs, everything is cold, no surprise there. but the fries are soggy! SOGGY! WTF?!? I can say with confidence that i’m a pro at ordering fries, and they have to be chillin’ for a while to get SOGGY. I mean seriously, how long was my damn food sitting out there waiting for other orders to be done?! On another note, the portions are tiny! Usually if order take out for myself, i have enough to last me 2 meals… i mean basically, you pay 9 $ for a slice and a half of pizza. bleh.

At first I was skeptical of coming in here and switching pizza places from the place a block down, it was totally worth it. I am a NY pizza snob and this is not the pizza that I am use to, but it is still really good considering this is Boston and all. TRYTHEMEXICANPIZZA soooooo gooood. I would rate almost all the specialty pizzas 5⁄5 and the rest of the food is consistently a 4⁄5 Delivery is quick if you order at non-peak times, they can get quite busy dinner time on the weekends.

I was excited to try this place, I made an order, I’ve been waiting more than an hour and a half and still nothing. I called to check and was told they’ll be there any minute. That was 15 min ago, still nothing. I’m not happy. Update: the food finally got here almost 2 hours after i ordered. The driver was rude, the food was cold. The«fry nation» was pretty good after it was microwaved. The calzone and other appetizers we ordered were not good before or after microwaving. Will not order from them again.

Apparently this place is under new ownership, and in all fairness, I haven’t been here in years,(since 1996 or so), so take this review with a grain of salt. But when I was in undergrad at BU, I practically lived here. I lived in the west campus dorms for 2 years, and then in an apartment 1 block away for a year after that. I was a regular here. But really, it was because it was close, and cheap, the portions were big, and because I went there so often they frequently gave me extra slices for free. And when you’re a broke-ass student, free slices of pizza are like manna from heaven. Most of the menu was pretty sub par, but their calzones and gyros were always spot on(and huge… easily a 2-meal affair). The pizza though was always a bit too thick for my tastes, and unless you got a freshly cooked pie, the crust would always be far too crunchy. Based on pizza alone, I’d only give BPE a 1 or 2 star review, but once you factor in the other menu items mentioned above, I think it bumps it up a notch.

I work a block away from these guys, and everybody in our office(5 people) eats there at least twice a week. Teddy K is awesome! He’s almost always there, and he knows most of us by name at this point. We tend to avoid pizzas for lunch because of food coma, etc… but I can tell you the pizza is unique and delicious at this place. I frequent the salads and wraps… both of which come in MANY varieties. I’ve never had anything unfresh in my salad. Always fresh, ripe and popping cherry tomatoes, crispy red onions, and always fresh greens in the garden salad. I usually top it with chicken salad or some sort of breaded chicken(which they offer 4 – 5 different flavors). You’ll notice that the salad weighs a TON and comes with pita. I normally end up making two pita sandwiches from the salad, then eating the rest later in the day. The wraps are great too… whether you customize or go with one of his creations(I like the chicken pesto melto). The reason I’d heard about them was because my boss said they make a great chicken cutlet. I got the cutlet wrap on my first order, and it blew me away. Very rich and crispy, but not greasy. Couldn’t be any better. There’s also a crazy assortment of burgers. If you get the Wafflicious burger($ 4.50… burger with many fixins + waffle fries ON the burger) you will probably be set for the rest of your workday. There’s also the Teddy Mac Attack($ 6.50… fixed-up burger, plus a chicken cutlet, plus onion strips, plus fried mac & cheese… oh yes, it’s serious) which will probably push you a little too far while you’re at work. But it’s there if you’re daring ;-) There are veggie options… veggie subs, and veggie burgers. I tend to switch to a veggie burger when I wanna keep things lighter. The biggest reason this place is a winner: CONSISTENCY. I’ve eaten here over 30 times in the past 6 months, and I’ve ordered the same items again and again… and they always nail it every time. That’s not easy to come by.

My husband and I have been going to this place since November 2008– by then a new owner had taken over(Teddy K!). What I love about this place is the innovation of the owner. He is always trying out new ideas for pizzas(barbecue chicken and french fries!) and asking for advice– very open to new ideas. He also gets very excited when something’s new. It’s nice to come to a place where the owner cares so much about his food. The menu is huge! There are also tons and tons of pizza toppings to choose from and a nice variety of sauces in case you’re bored with the traditional tomato sauce base. If you’re looking for big, fat greasy pieces of pizza, this place is not it. Pizza here is different from most pizza restaurants in the area. The slices are smaller(unless you get pizza by slice– I’m never a fan of that anyway. i’m talking more about the slice of pizza within an entire pie) and the crust is very thin. Most times I’ve been very happy with the pizza– there was maybe one or two times where the crust was overdone and disgusting. I could get a pepperoni pizza, though, and there is hardly grease on the plate(unlike the pizza at Allston Pizza or Bravo Pizza down the street). If I don’t get pizza, I’ll get a calzone(I love the buttery calzone crust!), and SOMETIMEs I’ll get a steak and cheese sub– they’re delicious! I once had a turkey sub and, well, I’ll stick to pizza, calzones and my sometimes steak sub. :) Their fried dough is GREAT. I also like that they have Italian Ice now! I’m also happy that they recently started serving cans of soda(I can’t drink a 20 oz all at once!). Delivery is slow, though, and while it still tastes great, it’s much better to eat at the restaurant. It’s a SMALL dining area though, so if you come in after it’s been busy it’s not the cleanest. The kitchen area is always immaculate, I have to say! I’m usually disappointed when I go in and don’t see Teddy, though. He’s a great guy. Go!

The pizza wasn’t good at all. The chicken tenders are ok. The wraps are decent, although a bit lacking in flavor. I’ve only had delivery from this place up until recently when I decided to walk in. The place was filthy. I bet that they won’t pass a health inspection.

This place has some crazy spell on me. Whenever I think I can take some time off from here it draws me back in! We go here for their pizzas since they have great deals. You can get a small cheese pizza for free when you order a large special pizza. Or you can get a large cheese pizza on Monday nights for 7.77. Those are great deals for great food. So we go there for their pizza and their $ 5 meal deals. What is a $ 5 meal deal you ask? Well for $ 5 you can 2 slices of pizza or a burger or a chicken sandwich and chips or fries and a can of soda. That is a better deal that McDonald’s. That is even better than Uburger down the road. While I admit that Uburger has better burger I honestly think that BPE’s grilled chicken sandwich is sooooo much better than Uburger’s. Anyway, this is a great deal for a weekend lunch or a late night dinner. They now have Italian Ice so I see many trips in there when I get off the steamy T at night. They have a pretty good selection of flavors and their prices are good too for a sharable small at just $ 2. I mention the prices here because I am a broke just out of college professional so I have to choose my dining out carefully so I have to emphasize their deals so help you save a buck too.

Pros: 5 dollar lunch special that includes salad or fries, 2 slices of pizza or chicken, and a water or soda. Cons: The food isn’t that good.(Pizza slices didn’t taste too fresh reheated and just wsn’t a fan) Pros: The food isn’t that bad.(I ate more fries than I meant to.) Therefore I half heartedly recommend this place, but only for cheap lunch in a pinch!

It’s ok pizza. Super fake looking, though. The taste is pretty different from other places. The crust is super tight, not fluffy or flaky, not particularly delicious. It’s just«not bad» but you could find a better place easily.

I have always picked this place over T. Anthony’s. People always give me a hard time and say that I: a. don’t know what I’m talking about b. have problems with my taste buds c. may have a mental issue d. all of the above However, it is to those people that I say, «No, sir/ma’am! It is YOU who: a. doesn’t know what you’re talking about b. has problems with your taste buds c. may have a mental issue d. all of the above I’m quite fond of their pizza. Boston Pizza Express was the very first place that I ever conquered eating a large cheese pizza on my own. It wasn’t even a dare or anything. I was in high school and just had a fantastic appetite. There was no reward in the big picture, but realistically? I got to eat pizza and boy, it’s good. At first, I used to think that being able to wolf down large amounts of food wasn’t incredibly attractive or good looking, but as I’ve gotten older and explored new ideas regarding food, I’ve come to realize that the idea of eating food, regardless of the amount, is incredibly attractive, depending on the gender! In reality, gender plays a huge role when it comes to food. For example, if someone asks you to imagine a guy eating pizza, you’ll probably imagine a huge, hungover guy with a pot belly standing in front of the fridge, naked, with a cold slice out of the fridge in one hand, a glass of milk in the other hand, all while leaning against the kitchen counter, putting down the glass once every so often to scratch his butt. However, if someone asks you to imagine a girl eating pizza, you’ll probably see a good looking girl with beautiful hair that is inexplicably, somehow, blowing in nonexistent wind, taking a bite into a hot, crisp slice and seeing the cheese string out and she’ll look at you seductively all while licking extra sauce off her upper lip with her tongue. I’ve eaten at Boston Pizza Express since I was an itty bitty child and I’ve always avoided writing about it because well, I couldn’t write so many reviews about eating such large amounts barbarically, right? Well, not anymore. I’m not scared to tell people that I like to eat large quantities when the quality is great, especially since now, I’d like to think that people imagine I look great when I’m eating a whole pizza by myself. I hope that as you’re reading this review, you’re imagining what it looks like when you stuff your face when you go to a place as good as Boston Pizza Express as well.

I don’t know what everyones complaining about here! I stopped in this weekend after a day of shopping and being in the sun and I happened to be STARVING! I got 1 slice of pizza and a soda for about $ 3.50. Nice. The slice was HUGE and greasy! Maybe people are complaining here because they don’t like grease… but I’m from NY. and that pizza is delicious BECAUSE of grease. I told I liked their pizza… and they told me it was actually made with all natural ingredients. Even better!
