Boston Pretzel Bakery

At first, I was going to write that the pretzels here are not half bad. But then, I did some thinking and realized that they are, and maybe are more than half bad.
What I remembered was the pretzels I had had from the grocer’s freezer, that was no worse (and possible better than this one)
Had a Boston pretzel (sesame and salt), however, rather than having a generous amount of salt and sesame as one of the photos for this Hurjane V’s photo suggests, it had a meager amount, like of like a decent sized pinch.
Outside was slightly firmer than inside, but presented not even a little crunch or pretzly feel.
The only thing pretzels about this thing was the bread, which wasn’t at all bad (nor was it special)
I will give them props for not charging for for the cheese sauce I wanted, but the sauce was bland, and felt more chemical than cheese.
Save your money and get one from the grocer’s frozen dept.

One of the worst pretzels ever
Ordered a jalapeño pretzel and instead making it fresh she picked an old one that was in corner somepleace heated up for a minute in the oven and gave it to us.
When i asied is this pretzel supposed to this hard rock she grinningly said yes
Wrost pretzel ever. Dont go here. Irish pub next has better pretzels so do franchise stores in the mall

I’m a little biased about why I think Boston Pretzel Bakery is great. With their all natural ingredients list, I was actually able to let my kid eat here.
With peanut allergies, being able to eat at anything labeled «bakery» is a HUGE rarity. But my little guy got to chow down on pretzel nuggets with cheese, and he was thrilled. The owner was incredibly sweet, and explained that they used only high quality ingredients, no preservatives, and knew what was in each menu item.
I did sneak a bite of the nuggets, and thought they were delicious. I was disappointed to see a couple of other people recommend going to Auntie Anne’s — because to me, those pretzels are super dry and overprocessed.

Standard pretzel, nothing to complain about!
This place is located near the end of Quincy market, near Fishermen’s Net and Sprinkles froyo.
Pros:
–good service! Kind of slow, but the lady was nice and attentive to us. Smiles!
–I like pretzels that are not drenched in butter/​oil. This was dry/​baked and it was covered in a good, even amount of sesame seeds and sea salt!
Cons:
–not thick like other pretzel places, but this is their choice and really depends on preference.
Overall, definitely come try the pretzel here when it is 50% off!

If you’re craving something along the lines of Auntie Anne’s or a standard food cart pretzel, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re craving a huge, hot, delicious pretzel this place is for you.
These pretzels are huge. Flavored pretzels aren’t just sprinkled with powder, the parmesan and garlic are baked in. No messy hands! Yay!
Can’t wait to go back for more and to try other flavors.

Possibly the worst pretzel nuggets ever — sure they’re huge and come with «cheese» dip, but the only way they’re remotely edible is drenched in said dip. Tasteless, dry, cakey.
Do yourself a favor and head to Auntie Anne’s at South Station.

I give it 5 stars because of the pretzel bites. They are gigantic, squishy and delicious when dipped in cheese.

Lets start this by saying I love pretzels. Ok, I admit it, its more than love, I am obsessed with pretzels.
From Munich, to stadiums, to homemade, to chain stores in malls and even the snack aisle, I love pretzels of all kinds, shapes, and sizes.
What I got from Boston Pretzel was no pretzel. It was a dried out, tired. piece of white bread that happened to be in the shape of a pretzel.
And the salt/​sesame seed combo reminded me of a dejected dinner roll.
If you are looking for pretzel deliciousness, do not look here. Seriously, you would be better off taking the last pretzel from under a heat lamp at a dodgy gas station.

My favorite pretzel in the Boston area is their traditional Boston pretzel: half salt, half sesame seed. The outside is crunchy and the inside is soft. Big enough for a snack although I always could go for a second. Perfect taste anytime I stop by Quincy Market. Price is fairly reasonable ($ 3) for such a great, fresh pretzel, especially considering the prices of other food items in the same building.
They sell these pretzels at stadiums across Boston, but the Garden and Fenway are two unfortunate exclusions.
