Bradford Auto Wax

These guys are real pros. Billy, the manager, is a gentleman — I wish more places offered this level of service. They were easy to work with, courtesy, careful with the vehicle, and overall just a great experience. I’ll be back.

I recently used Bradford Auto Park & Wax as it is conveniently located in the parking garage of my office building. I received a 1-​step interior and exterior detail on my car and I was extremely happy with the outcome. Everything was cleaned really well inside and out and it was ready to be picked up as soon as I was out of work for the day.
The customer service was also great. When I left my car there I forget to get my parking ticket validated. The owner/​manager called and took care of the mix up for me.
I will definitely be going back there for more service.

First, on customer service: I figured Unilocalers are right, so I was excited that they are close to my work! I called ahead to make an appointment for the next day. After giving him my phone number 3 times to get it right, we hung up.
I waited OVER ½ hour for them to show up for the appointment I had called ahead to make at 8 a.m. They never showed up! Made me late for a meeting and had no idea what to do?! Having the car already at the State St. garage (I have free parking 2 blocks away), I figured I was stuck so I would leave it. I called immediately to report that I had waited 35 minutes and no one showed up. They called back and asked me when I could come down to drop off the key. NO EXPLANATION. I told them I could be there at 11 a.m.
show up at 11a.m., and the two employees are not in the office, but — get this — SLEEPING on the garage ground. I had to wake them up.
They did not help or offer on the dents or other scratches, as others report.
So now they explain to me over and over that I need to come back early because it’s slow, so they’ll be done with their work. Um, that would have been relevant when I made the appointment. I then had to further rearrange my schedule to come back early. And again. NO EXPLANATION or apology or going out of their way to correct the morning mistake. And the funny part is, had they been there at 8 a.m., I could have picked it up at 11 and we’d all be happy…
The quality of the work was decent. I was dissapointed at not having the extra work on the scratches available that others have reported was available.

Pricey 2-​step interior and 1-​step exterior detail ($ 250 for SUV) may actually be worth it — 10 year old vehicle seems almost new again, outside and in. Friendly, prompt service as well. Worth a repeat visit. They also did a really nice job of almost completely eliminating white paint that had been scraped onto the front bumper quite a while ago in a brush with a parking garage column.
A very minor issue was that a button on the temperature control panel of the dash was broken off and missing — I noticed it several days later, mentioned in my inital feedback post here a week after that, and since that post owner Billy along with Alberto at 75 State Street have been very responsive and diligently committed to helping me resolve the issue — so I have increased the rating.

My 2013 Ford Mustang was shipped to Boston from New Orleans and really need a full wash. I went to Bradford, the manager told me it would take a little while so I went and hung out at a café. They finished the car sooner than they said they would, they paid for my parking during the time it was being washed, and (most importantly) the car looked brand new again once I picked it up. They did a great job on the paint, tires, windows, and interior. Great customer service. Will definitely be bringing my car here from now on.

Used Bradford was a wash and interior detail on my Honda Fit. This is a family car subjected to a young child. The car interior looks great – clean and free of the mysterious stains my daughter gets into the upholstery – as close to new as possible.
I’ve had my car detailed elsewhere, but will return to Bradford. The price quality and value exceed my previous experiences elsewhere.

My wife used to park at this garage for work and used Bradford back then. She made the appointment to have my Mercedes S550 detailed. Also had some minor dings and one quite large dent in the front wheel arch — but she had spoken to them and they apparently told her that if she dropped it off Monday, they could get the dent guy in too and do everything at once.
Dropped the car off early and got a call back from Billy Bradford, who runs the business. Turns out that the dent guys, who are separate, can sometimes be a bit unreliable and he wasn’t sure he could get that done — I was a little frustrated, as I specifically drove my car downtown, paid for parking etc. because I could get both detail and dents taken care of.
However, Billy called back shortly after and was able to get a dent guy to show. More importantly, he was able to take care of both the little dings and the big and quite difficult one — which was more of a body shop type problem. So that side of it worked out really well.
Detail was good — not the very best I have had, there were a couple of small spots e.g. around the navigation controller wheel on the armrest that got missed, but ⁹⁄₁₀. Pricing for 4 v small dings, 1 large, full inside and out details was $ 640 + tip — which I felt was fair, not a bargain but a lot cheaper than having a body shop work on it. Parking was extra — not a problem if you have to park downtown anyway, but I have a space in another building. Billy was exceptionally responsive in terms of call-​backs, when it would be ready etc.
So, overall, 4/​5, mainly because the logistics were a bit uncertain. I will likely take my other cars there.

Good place to have your car hand washed for not much more than a drive-​through. If you’re parking in the 75 State Street garage, you can leave it here and come back to a freshly cleaned car. They went out of their way a bit to come in early to have my car ready one morning. I’d just confirm what you’re going to pay before you leave your car. I was charged more than their listed price ($ 20 vs $ 18) but I still think it’s a good deal.
