Decent wine by the glass and beer list. I enjoyed the sirloin steak, one inch thick topped with a surprising good sauce and Onion rings; The garlic mashed potatoes, though a little cold were still quite tasty and even the grilled vegetables were enjoyable. I’ll try this again when I come back. The burgers, Artisian flatbreads and the salads also look good.

Hmmm as the restaurant is temporarily in the lobby due to renovations! Standing by the entrance podium for 8 minutes while I noticed the that some of the kitchen crew is behind the black curtain! Feeling annoyed after a long day! Front desk was less then understanding! Will not eat here again!

This is a conflicted review. So, my first experience here was a matter of walking up to the podium to be seated. Behind me are two other business travelers… who I am not with. The hostess asks how many, and before I can answer(and yes I am there in front of all of them) the guy says two. She proceeds to seat these two d-bags leaving me standing at the podium. WHAT? Am I invisible? Maybe it was the tired look on my face for flying all day to get there… anyways… this was off to a really bad start. I was not happy when she comes back and still does not really realize that FIRST, I was there first, and second, I still need to be seated. Ever feel invisible? Well, I sure did this day. Anyways, I finally get seated, and only to watch the waitress smother the table that shortcut me with attention. They had already ordered drinks, got drinks, and ordered food, before I had even been approached. In fact, I did not even get a menu at this point. So look, I’ll stop whining and just say, service is clearly not their strong suit here. That having been said, when I finally got a chance to eat, the Mac and Cheese was the most delicious mac n cheese I have ever had in my life. In fact, the food was five stars. The service was negative five. But despite the lousy service — I would be back just because the food was so amazing!

Well, I’ve been on the road for over a week and stayed at really nice hotels and ate at some of the ‘better’ restaurants in NYC, Boston, Newport RI, Portland ME and now the Courtyard hotel near Logan airport and sat at the bar. Ran into ‘Deb’ the bartender. She is probably the most friendly, hard working bartenders and ALSO waitress all week. A pleasant close to my trip. Just amazed that she is managing nearly 22 seats at the bar ALL alone — no bar back, no help. She was cleaning, smiling, washing glasses, taking orders, serving food and attending to everyone as quickly as she could(and with passion and a smile all along). Meanwhile, I look over and some of her colleagues standing around no less. Marriott, the Courtyard brand and the owner of the hotel should make her employee of the year. With her smile, her obvious Boston charm(and accent) made all the tired travelers happy. Wish there were more ‘Debs’ in the world!

So when at the hotel, you really don’t have a lot of choices, its just A-OK, staff is friendly, and place is clean. I ordered the mac and cheese, when it arrived they use a bow tie pasta? Ok, so I expected and elbow mac & cheese, guess it was just different, but bland. My companion ordered the roasted chicken with galic mashed potatoes, and she enjoyed it.

I’ve eaten at this hotel restaurant three times and frankly I’ve been disappointed each time. The food is standard hotel fare and even when you stray to dishes that should be regional specialities such as lobster rolls, the food is lifeless and flavorless. Staff is friendly but occasionally forgetful and overwhelmed. What’s worse is that there are really no options(other than ordering a pizza I suppose). The hotel is in a industrial area with no restaurants within walking distance, nor is the train within reasonable walking distance. Grab food before leaving the airport.

Brickley’s pub has a large seating area, about 5 – 6 beers on tab and bottled options. The kitchen closes at 11 p.m. Make sure to order before. They’re okay with you order some beer a little after. The chicken tenders on the bar menu are about $ 8 and the pieces are pretty decent size I needed some help. Late night close to 11 p.m. There’s not a lot of traffic so service is decent as well. If you one during summer and like craft beer or the Samuel Adams summer ale because they offer it draft here. Other than that, the pub is pretty clean and has two flat screen TVs, you can catch your sports if needed. Next day: I came down for breakfast. This place offers a la carte menu with Omelettes and beverages. Charged separately. They also offer a special pricing buffet. Either continental(10.95) or full buffet(11.95). I highly recommend the buffet because you et to choose from a wide variety of options. For example, fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, sausage, house potatoes, cinnamon swirl toast, bagels, fruit, toast, cereal and oatmeal and it comes with drinks includes(coffee or juice).
