I’ve been going here for three years because they take MassHealth insurance for new eyeglasses prescriptions. The service is courteous, quick, and helpful, and since I am not terribly fussy about new frames I can always pick out a new pair from their selection within five minutes. I just ordered a new pair today; it takes a few weeks to get your new glasses, but I already have an old pair so can wait. Today they also fixed my old pair that were sitting tilted on my face — it only took seconds for them to fix and the glasses are as good as new. Very happy with this place — if you use MassHealth for a new(free) pair, you won’t be able to choose from designer frames; you will get a choice of lower-budget frames, but that’s just fine with me since I am not that picky and am very happy with the three frames I have chosen from Bromar Optical in the past(two made of plastic, and one set of wire-rims). They are in the Longwood hospital area, just a short walk from the«E» train on the green line. Great place if you have MassHealth insurance, which many opticians won’t accept!
