If you’re looking for a great workout or a workout to complement your standard routine, look no further. Core De Vie Studios is a charming oasis on Charles Street with a welcoming curb appeal and clean, warm interior. Patrons are met by a friendly staff with all types of branded merchandise and healthy lifestyle gift ideas. I’ve heard all the instructors are terrific here, but Nikki Stalling was fantastic. She has a disposition for new and seasoned Pilates students alike, combining the rare patience of a teacher with a deep understanding of kinesiology to get the most out of her class. I can’t recommend Nikki and Core De Vie more. Excellent experience all around and will definitely go again.

I’m surprised no one has written a review on their Power Plate Class Offering.
I was pleasantly surprised to find Power Plate class in Boston, relatively close to where I live.
The classes are small, with max 3 people (due to # of machines available), which is great because Ellen makes sure everyone is in the right form.
The 30 minute class first seemed easy, but I could definitely feel the work-​out hours later. Ellen is personable and knowledgeable. It seemed like there were some regulars — probably why they don’t need to advertise too much.
I selfishly hope more people hear about the benefits about Power Plates and sign up for their classes so Core De Vie can increase the number of offered classes. Would love to see Power Plate classes offered in the 7−8am mornings!

I go to to Core de Vie for my eyebrows and I am a HUGE fan! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and I always receive great service! My skin is very sensitive and I have not broken out at all after getting waxed. This could be because the technician knows what she’s doing and because of the wax that they use; I believe they are from all natural ingredients the owner’s create from local products. Plus Amy Wasserman is amazing (the technician that does my brows)! They are always eager to get me an appointment no matter when I call. I find that the price is reasonable and very attractive given they are one of the best eyebrow waxing I have ever gotten. The owner greets me as soon as I come in and I love the atmosphere and their two friendly dogs. Highly, highly recommend! If you are in the neighborhood you should stop by or if you live locally make it YOUR place to go to routinely.

I got a Bloomspot coupon for a Brazilian here and I couldn’t be happier. I made a same day appointment and had Julie who was amazing!
The atmosphere in the room was relaxing, the lights were mostly dimmed and there were candles and soothing music — I felt like I was going to get a massage. Julie was very professional, found out about who I was, why I was getting a Brazilian, and exactly what I wanted done and where.
After the waxing was done, she had me check to make sure everything was done the way I liked. She was very thorough and I can honestly say, this is the cleanest and most precise waxing I’ve ever had. I usually go to Elizabeth Grady (which is priced about the same with regular pricing) and they are very good, but I’ve never been this happy with a Brazilian! I’m moving across the country pretty soon, otherwise Core de Vie would become my new regular place!

I purchased a RueLaLa voucher to Core de Vie this Fall for a massage and facial for over $ 100. I just went to book the appointment and realized it expired December 31st. I called the spa and they wouldn’t honor it…3 days late. I’ve already paid for the services and now don’t get them? I will never go back to them again.

I had a wonderful pumpkin peel facial with Courtney today – it was relaxing, thorough and my skin feels great! I have had a million facials over the years and this tops out as one of my favorites! Jackie a helpful and vibrant sales lady helped me pick out Lululemon clothes to try on – there are so many great clothes, jewelry and items for sale in the most adorable shop – I highly recommend their services and products for sale and would love to come back to explore the acupuncture services in addition to getting another facial.

This place is really excellent! I went there for a massage and it was amazing! The atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly and professional, the massage was sooooo good, and the entire experience was beyond relaxing! If I had to say a negative it would have to be the price, it’s just a little to rich for my blood, but I suppose a day of pampering isn’t about being thrifty. All in all it is totally worth, but only as a rare treat for me.

I came here for a discounted facial with Courtney and it was purely blissful! Plus my skin looks fantastic! She really knows what she is doing and makes you feel really comfortable. I would go back at full-​price!
My only glitch was that the website says it is on River St., but the entrance is actually on Charles. So, I walked up and down River, before calling to confirm, but the staff was extremely nice and helpful! They have a new customer!

I came here for a discounted 50 min. massage and it was fabulous! I think his name but Michael but I’m not positive. He was very thorough and used the right amount of pressure. If you’re a woman who is uncomfortable w/​a male massage therapist you should say that when you make an appt. because they didn’t tell me over the phone who my massage would be with. I don’t care either way so I didn’t bother to ask. The place I normally go to doesn’t allow tipping though this place I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip. I don’t think I’ll be back for a massage because the regular price + tip is just too expensive for me. I might be back though to check out the clothing because they gave me a coupon for a further discount. If money wasn’t an issue, I would definitely be back for a great massage!

Wow. Can you please open a Core De Vie in New York? My mom and I decided to get facials here together while I was home for Mothers Day. Not only was this the most enjoyable spa experience I’ve ever had, but I got the best results as well. They customed the treatment to our skin type and used the best natural skin products I’ve ever tried (and I’m «into» that stuff…) And oh, did I mention the back rub and foot massage that goes with it? Heaven.
Core de Vie has a store (with a great assortment of yoga clothing, jewelry, and goodies), a gyrotonic studio, a yoga studio, and a spa. Everything is clean and relaxed (think sky blue walls and tranquility music). You can tell this is a real neighborhood gem. Can’t wait to go back.

I do yoga here with Amber (the 6:30 Monday morning Hatha class). It’s intense — she works us pretty hard — but she’s the best instructor I’ve ever had. She does a great job of continuity week to week so it’s easy to see the improvement over time. The ambiance is nice — their studio in the back is quiet and dark and doesn’t get the Charles St noise — and everyone there is always very welcoming. I’m too cheap to buy the fancy Lululemon gear, but my mom bought a pair of the Vibram 5 Fingers shoes from them and loves them like crazy.

Ellen and Mark Comerford have created gyrotonic/​pilates/​yoga nirvana at Core De Vie. Walking in their front doors is like walking into Mary Poppin’s hand bag… it just keeps going. A sun drenched, lululemon stocked front boutique could stand alone as a hot little fitness boutique, but it just keeps getting better. As Core De Vie stretches back, it boasts a comprehensive gyrotonic studio, another sun filled yoga room and fitness room. Downstairs, two quiet rooms for skin care, acupuncture, and massage.
Core De Vie is truly, exactly what you’re looking for if you’re into things like sun light, style, and educated, dedicated, skilled fitness instruction.

Nice, newish store on very pleasant and low key Charles Street (so much easier than Newbury St. — shhhhhhhh) with a few great clothing lines, some Me & Ro jewelry, gift items, etc, and a gyrotonics studio in the back.
The help was nice, and they should get points for squeezing in a «dressing room», ie, curtained off area.
The 20% off sale made the Lululemon pants I bought a bargain. Unfortunately they were not certain if I could bring them to a Lulu store for their free alterations, so… I’ll wear them on the long side.
One request — the two labs are adorable, but they don’t mix well with black yoga pants I bought, or most of the clothing for that matter. Maybe some doggie daycare is in order?
