Came here for drinks a couple of weeks ago. It had definitely been a while since I had been here. Service was very attentive. Beer menu could have been larger but not terrible and I suppose prices were in line with what you could expect at higher end bars. I still prefer the 22’s over at Pour House but it wasn’t terrible. Expect to pay about $ 6 per beer. Red bull and vodka was good. Apps were also good.

Top spot to come for drinks after work. Food is very good. Maybe best food on the Boylston strip by the Pru. I’ve also been out on the weekends here a couple times which can get rowdy and fun. Great on any occasion, also an awesome spot for an outdoor brunch in the summer. Get a manmosa. Or 5.

this place is okay, not great but not awful. I went here on a sunday for a boozy brunch with some friends. the drinks were decent(I had the kahlua one), but the brunch menu was smallish and had few vegetarian options. the server was nice and the atmosphere was pretty chill, my friends seemed to like the food & drinks, but for me it wasn’t anything special.

Such a great atmosphere. Music is loud, but not obnoxious. The drinks are great and come quickly. That steak sandwich! Oh man. I’m telling you. Swiss was meant to top medium rare steak. The manager even came around and asked if I was having a good time. Absolutely recommend this place for anytime fun.

Very disappointing for brunch. Came here because of the tots listed on the menu and was surprised to find gross fritter style fried balls of cheese without scallions and barely a taste of bacon with a side of dipping sauce. Not the piled tater tots with bacon and scallions that I was envisioning. My boyfriend got the avocado egg BLT which came with potatoes. The sandwich was good but the potatoes were flavorless. The Bloody Mary was weak and diluted and served in a highball glass. All in all a disappointment.

Just your typical restaurant. I had the egg white omelet with asparagus. It was pretty average. Dillon’s is a great place to hang out with friends.

This is a perfectly OK place. Service was fine. Food was decent. Beer selection wasn’t bad. Very cool in terms of looks and decoration, just nothing special.

In the area on business and popped in on a Tuesday night for a few pints and a snack. Wasn’t much going on but looks like it could be a fun place. Good selection of craft beers and the bar food was decent. Comfortable place to hang, relax, and enjoy.

Dillon’s was our second leg for the Boston Young Professional Association Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Pub Crawl! Liz and her staff were awesome, with our crawlers and Santa Con piling up in the building it was madness but they had everything running smoothly. Our crawlers really enjoyed their time there! We will be back in 2016 to do it all over again! Thanks again for everything!!! Rob Rogers BYPAVP of Events

Went midday for a quick bite to eat. For being pretty empty, the service was slow. Lots of socializing by the staff. Our waitress took our drink order fairly quickly after we sat down, but we had to wait probably 10 minutes while she watched the Pats game with her coworkers before we were able to place our food order. She was very nice and personable at least. She joked with us and made some meal suggestions. The food was delicious. I got the steak tips and they were cooked perfectly. I’m always afraid I’m going to get shoe leather, but these tips were so tender and tasty that I wish I had ordered a second serving to go. Mashed potatoes were a little runny however. The outdoor seating area was closed, but it looks like this would be a great place to eat on a warm summer night. I’d go back. It was affordable and the food was good.

Gster and I had spent the day frolicking around Newbury. We had wanted to go to like 6 other places, but the lines were all over an hour. The couple we were with just wanted to eat, and loved Dillon’s. I had been here before, very drunk, for the Red Sox parade. As a purpose of a bar, its awesome! It has huge windows onto Boylston, lots of outdoor seating/heaters that look over Boylston, and a huge inside with lots of seating, very spacious, and lots of bars with cheap drinks For the purpose of eating, It’s exactly what you would expect. Gster and I would not typically choose a place such as this, however, given the company it was good to try something new. Gster and I got the pizza and the tot balls. While the concept of the tot ball is unique(tater to filled with lots of cheese), it was overwhelming and way way way too much cheese. Now I never complain about cheese, but this made it hard to eat. Even if it had a normal amount of cheese, it would not have been good, the flavor was off. The pizza was basic frozen pizza, that was decent but again, is a bar pizza. Come here for drinks, to watch a game, or the parade. Just eat before you come.

In Boston on business This spot was a few blocks from my hotel Descent beer selection but very thin on local craft beer Atmosphere — my type of bay. Lots of dark wood. Dark lighting. Old school pub feel. Bar tender are super nice. Music is awful! Top 40s hip hop garbage. Totally goes against the grain of the crows and vibe of the spot. But for a midnight night cap — descent

Dillon’s is solid all around. The service, food, and beer are all good and the prices are reasonable. The location is prime real estate on Boylston. It’s only steps from the Hynes and about a 10 minute walk to Fenway. Their patio is a big draw here providing some decent skyscraper views while not being exposed to the hustle and bustle of the street. Good for something convenient and casual.

Dillon’s is a place to hang out after work — it shouldn’t really be thought of as much more than that. It’s got a nice outdoor area, and it’s usually fairly easy to get seating. But it’s not the type of place you’d take a friend from out of town, and it’s not the type of place you aim to go to on a date. It’s a place to meet a couple of friends, have a few drinks and share some appetizers. The food is average and the fried food is probably your safest bet. The tots and the truffle fries are decent, but they are both a bit overwhelming after a few bites. The service is fine, although our appetizer plates were dirty and needed to be sent back. Overall, quite average, but a safe bet if meeting a group for drinks.

Nice menu, good food(some appetizers are even great) and the place is lovely, with a small patio and a comfortable place inside. Great for small gatherings or grabbing a beer and something to bite after work. However, the service is not good: in the best case scenario they are slow and seem more interested in chatting among them than in paying attention to the customers. We asked for a table inside one day in which we only wanted a beer and the waitress only told us that inside it is mandatory to ask for something to eat once we were seated. They should have warned first.

Loved Dillon’s! Beautiful outdoor seating with a really fun, young, positive vibe. I ordered an individual pizza, which was more than enough food! I think it had kale and sweet potato on it and it tasted just as good as it sounds. Everyone I was with loved what they got, as well. The service was good and it was just a great environment in which to meet up with friends. I’d certainly go back and recommend it the next time you’re meeting up with a group!

Decent food, mediocre service. This is the tune most establishments on Boylston hum. I had been here before but just ate here again Saturday for dinner. We sat outside which was nice since it had been warm during the day. We got the fried pickles and loaded tots for appetizers. They were good, although the pickles were way too salty for me. I got the Mac n’ cheese and was a little disappointed in the size. It was tasty but I ate the whole thing and was still hungry. I paid the price of a dinner so I wanted more. Whatevs. Service sucked to be frank. Asked 2 people for a glass for my beer and eventually got it something like 10 minutes later. We also had to ask for plates, utensils, and napkins I mean come on! They should be on the table before we even get our food! Not brought out later on while our food gets cold. They were not packed and honestly the flaws I’m mentioning here are really basic things. It’s just another tourist trap restaurant banking on their location

I’ve been to Dillon’s before, but only grabbed a beer last time, so having tried the food today, I figured a review was necessary. Beer: grapefruit beer on draught Food: four cheese pizza &BBQ chicken pizza My friend and I ordered two pizzas and split it, and the portions were definitely enough to fill both of us. The four cheese pizza was DELICIOUS. so much cheese and perfectly crisp but chewy crust. I was very impressed. The BBQ chicken on the other hand was delicious in a completely opposite way. The toppings were abundant, and the caramelized onions and chicken was great. The BBQ was a little sweeter than what I usually enjoy, but it was still really good. My friend ordered the tots(appetizer) and the sriracha ranch sauce that came with it was AMAZING! How come I’ve never heard of this brilliant combination? Definitely making this concoction at home everyday. The grapefruit beer they had on draught was absolutely delicious. If youre a grapefruit lover like me, this beer was PERFECT. It tasted like grapefruit juice! Portion is pretty small for $ 6.50, but can’t complain. NOW…let’s get to the service, which is where I dropped two stars. The waitress took FOREVER to come around. We were outside in the patio, a big group of 7 girls. We were seated swiftly, and she took the drink orders, but after she dropped off the drinks, we told her we were ready to order, but she didn’t come back to our table until 20+ minutes… Next, the food took SOLONG to come out! Here’s something funny — the waitress was carrying three plates(one in each hand and one in her arm) and while she was coming out, PLOP, one ketchup plate falls. two seconds later, PLOP another one falls, along with some fries. Waitress starts complaining that the plates were SOHOT. and PLOP a freaking SANDWICH falls… LOLLLL Honestly, I would have been fine with all this, but she didn’t apologize! She just kept going«ooo the plates are so hot!» I thought SOMEONE would at least say something because they had to bring out the sandwich again which obviously took longer so my friend was waiting around while all of us started eating. A simple — «sorry about that» would have been fine… they just brought out the sandwich and gave it to her… And obviously we had to wait forever to find our waitress for the check too. Anyways, the service was off this time, but I would definitely come back here since the food and drinks were splendid.

As a regular tourist of Boston, I’d seen this place/walked by it a few times before, but decided to give it a try this visit on a gorgeous, early May Tuesday for lunch. We arrived maybe around 1:00 and there were a few people in line with us, although the place was mostly empty. I think the staff were just busy inside handling current customers and not ready for several parties to arrive at the same time. But it wasn’t a long wait or anything, just remember thinking to myself it was weird. We asked for an outside table and were seated within 5 minutes. The deck has a few picnic-table styled tables, a few four or six-seater round tables and several small pub-style ones for three or four people, which we took. I noticed after my meal when going to the washroom that the inside has a relatively big section with regular and window tables and a large bar, all typical pub style. You can walk down a few steps and there’s an even larger dining area with another bar, but not a soul was sitting there at this time. I’m sure it would be busted full on St Paddy’s Day or something. Friendly service. My veggie burger(black bean patty, roasted red pepper, avocado, baby spinach, asiago, basil pesto. $ 12) was very good. Flavorful, big portion-size, fresh. My side Caesar was good as well, not memorable really, but no complaints. My partner had the Californian wrap(grilled chicken, pepper jack cheese, baby spinach, avocado, chipotle mayo on fococcia. $ 11) and quite enjoyed, although he isn’t used to avocado on his sandwiches or burgers and found he couldn’t hold it together/messy. His ‘Hell and High Watermelon?’ can of beer was delicious! We’d definitely go back.
