I came here to see Rose for an extension install and at first look, judging from my friends install, she seemed pretty skilled. Apparently she travels between Boston and Atlanta doing hair, cool. I get there and I am waiting for hours, hours before getting washed, and hours before getting in a chair. I didn’t wash my extensions because I was told that she washed them for you, so can someone please tell me why she told me that I, Me, Charlene, should go wash my extensions in the sink to expedite the process? I reluctantly washed the extensions, in their dirty sink, as if I was a staff member just biting my tongue and praying for this whole thing to be over. While sewing in my almost $ 800 extensions, she decides the wefts are too thick and tells me she’s going to have to cut them so they won’t mess up the ‘quality’ of her work. My thing though is if your work if that great and you are that skilled you shouldn’t have to cut extensions I paid a lot of money for, but ok, continue. At this point, I’m boiling. Finally, after 8 long hours of her yapping on the phone, eating, and frolicking with staff, she finally finished my hair. My friend told me she paid about 170 but when I was done she charged 185 and when I had questioned this discrepancy, she told me that she sometimes gives people 5 dollars off for the first visit? So why wasn’t I afforded this deal as an incentive to come back? After all the labor and lack of comfort I had in this broke down salon I felt extremely disrespected… fast forward to the removal of the extensions, a lot of my hair fell out and I’m pretty damn sure it was from the thread and technique she used because my hair was thick and healthy before… after that though, I noticed a lot of thinning. I advise anyone who wants to see Rose to seriously reconsider if you care anything about your hair and your time and respect! She will never see my business again!

I came here for single braids. The salon was locked when I arrived, although it should’ve been open. The stylist I made an appointment with was late – like 1+ hour late. So another stylist started me. The stylist I’d made the appointment with was not very professional at all and talked and texted on her phone while doing my hair. The stylist who started me even reprimanded her for how carelessly she made a part! But I kind of expected that. Black hair salons are unfortunately infamous for unprofessionalism. I think they did a decent job and the price was reasonable. The stylists were light-hearted. It wasn’t crowded(I was there on a Wednesday from 10:00 to around 5:45), and the salon was neat and clean. But the fact that the establishment was locked past the posted opening time and that my stylist was extremely late and careless left much to be desired.

Great Place! Rose is an awesome stylist who has a passion for doing hair! Catch her if you can! She’s worth the price. Anything you want done she does but her weaves look flawless. She is the best at the weaves hands down. Plus she is very humble and sweet.
