Not a bad bar, went there because a few of my friends couldn’t get into the greatest bar for a college reunion party we were having. Anyway dj’s is a nice laid back bar, I mean it was def. Very crowded but I didn’t mind, they had a ton of hot girls the music was bumping and I was dancing with my 3 hot lady friends who were def the hottest girls there. Personally id say the space is a little to small for me, there are def better bars on the strip. But shout out to my boy Steve Doyle def the coolest bouncer in Boston at Dj’s

My experience with this place was pretty random so I’m not sure how applicable it will be to most people but here goes… A week or so ago, it was gorgeous out. Monday, middle of the day, and I had time to kill waiting for a 3pm commuter train out of North Station. After realizing just how much freakin’ time I had, I thought some midday drinking was in order. DJ’s had the windows open, plasma tv’s, and comfy couches calling my name. What makes me write this review though, is the people working there. My first drink was a beer, whatever. It was nice out and I wanted something«summery» though, so I asked the bartender if she could make me something lemonadey and boozey… She made me the best drink ever. Half Sweet Tea Vodka and Half Lemonade. Awesome. Not only did the bartender introduce me to my new fave summer drink, the guy working there(he might have been a manager) was wicked cool too. He randomly said hi to me when I passed by the bar on my way to the train station. That’s what got my attention and got me to come back to DJ’s to check it out instead of sitting at the bar inside the station. Boring story, I know. I also realize that most people don’t need reviews on bars for midday drinking. But I figure that at least some of the stuff I enjoyed about DJ’s probably translates over to nighttime atmosphere. Just seemed like a really chill place. I’ll write another review after I go at a more normal time:)

I’ve been to DJ’s at the Garden a few times now and it’s a decent place to grab a few drinks and an appetizer. I’ve tried a few different meals there and wasn’t thoroughly impressed, but the snack food is pretty tasty. Their beer selection is good(a lot of draught varieties as well as bottles), wine list is on the smaller side(however I would classify this as a sports bar, so that’s OK) and I’m not sure on the mixed drinks. I’ve been here before events(Bruins games, Dane Cook) and also just to go somewhere. The atmousphere is great — not too loud, not too soft. It can get crowded late at night, so be aware of this if you’re trying to get around 11:30 or so I prefer to sit at the bar; We’ve sat at tables and the service is about par for the course. I’m sure we’ll be back at some point, but it’s not at the top of my list for North Station venues

I signed up for Unilocal just to let people know how much this place SUCKS. FYI, I never complain about anything, and I’m never one to seek out or stir up controversy, but this place really pissed me off. The bartenders suck, the bouncers are assholes, and the atmosphere can’t hold a candle to the other Garden area bars(Harp, Hurricanes, Greatest) I’m pretty sure they intentionally held a lengthy line to get in outside just to draw attention, because when I got in after waiting 30 minutes outside, I couldn’t believe how dead and not crowded it was in there relative to those other bars mentioned above. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place, until it goes out of business soon enough and gets replaced by hopefully something better.

This place is going to be out of business soon. Its a bar in an identity crisis. Being North Station, they try a cater to the Bruins/Celtics crowd but then try to be trendy. IMO, trendy doesn’t work around North Station. $ 6 for a Guinness is the most expensive in the area by far. I do like the place because they have this blackened tuna sandwich which is AWESOME and there is never a line after the Bruins game. So, if you want to eat after the Bruins game and there is a line at the Fours and Beer Works, DJs will always let you in because no one will be there. Just don’t plan on drinking a lot.

This is an okay place. But beware of the SUPERVISION. I went here on a Saturday night at 10pm. There were not a lot of people here and the bouncers were monitoring so closely that I felt like I was at a 6th Grade Dance. All you have to do is be a few feet away from someone else and a bouncer will say, «sir can you be careful, other patrons are trying to walk by.» You’re a bar in Boston…10pm on a Saturday… loose the edgey bouncers unless there is a fight or a robbery or worse. No one likes to be chaperoned.

I think people tend to forget that this used to be a trashy Hooters a few years back. So for that transformation alone everyone should give this place 5 stars. If you are going to North Station looking for great food, then you shouldn’t even be posting on Unilocal.(Although I love Nebo) The layout at DJ’s is pretty cool and it is a great place to watch a game. Which is why most people go to any bar in North Station. So it definitely suites to its target audience. I have never been there when they began to blast music with go-go dancers during games so I can not comment on that. We watched some of the NCAA Sweet 16 games here had a few beers and some appetizers. Food, drinks, and service were all pretty good. I would say that it is similar to The Greatest. DJ’s is definitely an option to watch the next big game in Boston.

I have spent a couple of Saturday nights at DJs and have always had a fun time. They have a great beer selection and while you might not know if they’re a sports bar/club, i just think you get the best of both worlds. If you want to dance you can, and if not there are a bunch of tables to just hang out at. I have only had dinner here once, and yes, it is bar food. Luckily thats exactly what I want during a game(along with the big flat screen TVs that line the walls). All the food was really tasty, and our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Overall a really solid choice for whatever mood you’re in.

Yes, most places around the Garden are expensive, but this place is very expensive and not even sure what it is. The website makes you think it is a sports bar, but go in there on a Saturday night with DJ what’s his name, and you really don’t want to watch any game there… and you better not want sound, techno music is what you will get, and you will like it. The TVs are actually really nice, there is a surprisingly decent beer selection and there is a lot of space, so they got that going for them. However, they are not sure if they are a club or a sports bar, or a place for drinks and some food before/after watching something at the Garden. The menu makes you think it is upscale and classy, when all they have is overpriced, mediocre bar food. Thanks, but no thanks.

So much potential, but simply terrible… Yes, I really really don’t like DJs on the Garden. I have given the place several chances, but I have never, not once, come out of there feeling like the place was worth it. The Good Stuff: It’s a cool layout… The Bad Stuff: — The wait staff are simply rude and unresponsive. Everyone of us felt like we should have been apologizing every time we ordered something. — The food isn’t good… it’s simply bad bar food. They charge a little more than neighboring bars and the menus are fancier, so you think you’re going to get a good meal, but then it comes and you are thoroughly disappointed. — Djs is a sports bar trying to be a club. We went to watch the NCAA tourney and they had half the bar cleared out with half naked Go-Go dancers blarring music that no one was dancing to. It was kind of embarrassing(for Djs and the dancers). — «Management» is unfriendly. I have never had an issue at Djs, but I have seen troves of people kicked out or turned away from the door for no real reason. It always seems to be a «management» decision, yet I have never actually seen the manager every involve himself with any of the many problems Djs has… Save yourself the frustration and go anywhere else… even Sullys… you’ll thank me for it.

It’s 12pm on a Saturday and the bar is empty. SCORE! More room for me to hang out and watch the game on any number of flat screens plastered to the walls. I’m told that this is the location where the old Hooter’s was. I’m sure glad that DJ’s is here now — it’s a fairly classy place and is certainly not grimy like some of the other bars in the area. They have Hoegaarden on tap — ONTAP! — and a variety of other delicious beers in the fridge, not to mention a whole bunch of top shelf liquors. Yeah, I’d take my parents here for a cocktail. If I get tired of sitting at the bar, I can move to a table. Or better yet, a couch. All three of which are within viewing distance of a tv. Maybe I’ll come check this place out on a Friday Saturday night one night to see how good the late night actually is, and maybe try some food that the bartender was heavily pushing. It looked pretty good…

This place has lots of boys, so of course I like it. They even have a veggie burger that isn’t pre-packaged frozen crap. The 1st time I ordered it, the server screwed up the order-I wanted w/no salsa & different cheese. The 2nd time it was totally fine. They have a different layout then most places & tons of tv’s so you can always watch a game.

Service sucks and the food is pretty terrible too. I imagine it’s great to watch a game at but don’t go there for lunch on a week day and don’t plan on getting out of there quickly. It’s big and they have tons of beers and flat screens, so I imagine the dude factor is off the charts during a game night but honestly it’s just not that impressive. I suppose in relation to other stuff in the neighborhood it’s a palace, but I’m underwhelmed.

Great bar. I just had lunch there with a friend. The décor is really chill and there are big TVs EVERYWHERE… which is essential for a bar/restaurant near the Garden. The have a wicked cool mural on one wall of the old Garden when the T was still elevated in front of it. They have a wide selection of beer and wines and the burger I had was really yummy. Go for lunch or before a game… you’ll dig it.

We were planning to go to the Greatest Bar for lunch, but it didn’t open til 4, so we came here instead. The burgers were absolutely awesome! I had mine with blue cheese, mushrooms, and caramelized onions. It was too big to put together, however, so I did my usual knife and fork routine(I have issues with eating messy food with my hands). My only problem was in the form of fries — they were so overfried that they were hard! Tisk, tisk DJ’s, you should know better than that!

I have never had a bad time at DJ’s. The wait staff is excellent, the bar staff is superb and the management staff is right on! Ian and John do a great job to make sure that everyone feels right at home. There are plenty of TVs to watch any sports that you may want. The beers are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is chill. This place may be on the same street as The Greatest bar but thats about all the share… the Greatest bar BLOWS! If your looking for a good time just hanging out then go down to DJ’s. They have live music starting soon, so the Harp may have a run for their money as well.

This new bar was pretty nice. Large area to eat and drink. Lots of plasmas to enjoy the games if you can afford tickets, the drink prices were fair and my cohorts say the martini’s are extra delicious. The food is good to same menu as the junction in south boston since they are owned by the same people. The music playing in the background was like listening to the NOWTHATSWHAT I CALLMUSIC Vol BESTBARSONGSEVER!!!

The people who run this place are obviously crazy, because they claim to want to be the bar for Revolution supporters to watch away games. Since they went down ignominiously last night, giving up early goals and having a man sent off unfairly, this could have been ugly, but while it’s a loud and occasionally profane crowd, they seem pretty harmless to me. Having said that, the bartenders and waitstaff handled the soccer fans with aplomb and good-natured eyerolling, and at least kept me well-lubricated. And after all, why wouldn’t they want to keep dozens of customers happy enough to keep buying $ 6 pints of Guinness?(They lose a star for that – too expensive for a sports bar, even a nice one) Rolling out the welcome mat for weirdos notwithstanding, it’s a nicer-than average sports bar. Dark wood, brushed metal, dim lighting, and plasma screens. Good hamburger, decent french fries, comfy seating. Expensive as it is, it was a fun place to watch a soccer match, and i’ll probably be back. Unless it winds up being bad luck.

On a street where no one thought a Hooter’s would fail, one did. And fortunately for us, DJ’s moved in. Went here today with a coworker and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and think I finally found decent pulled pork in Boston. Nevermind that slop they serve at The Carving Station, this savory, sugary and all around succulent meat was topped with a fresh cole slaw, not too mayo-y or cabbage-y. Another coworker complained that the Reuben was served on white bread. That is regrettable — everyone knows a Reuben should be served on Marble Rye. Dark and white rye are appropriate if there is a Marble shortage, but still. Marble Rye for pete’s sake! Otherwise, shady Friend Street finally has a welcome, reputable establishment.

I dig it. After hearing a bit of murmuring about DJ’s at the Garden(it seemed people knew about it, but didn’t know ABOUT it), we found ourselves in the dreaded North Station area yesterday afternoon, in desperate need of a beverage(we were about to embark on «High School Musical: The Ice Tour»). «What the heck» we thought, «it’s owned by the same people as the Junction, and we know we love that place». So we ventured into the spot where many other people(in far less clothing) had tried, and failed. This is the old Hooters/Coyote Ugly, but you wouldn’t know it once you were inside. The place is done in a sort of minimalistic design, lots of shiny wood and dark metal(?). The kind of place that’s not uncomfortable when empty, but also wouldn’t seem jam packed when busy. Two thumbs up for décor/atmosphere. Given it was 3 on a Sunday, the place was practically empty, with staff by far outweighing patrons. Despite the fact they were probably making little to no money, the staff was all very friendly and prompt. We had just come from a delectable brunch, so we were just looking for a drink, but the beer was clean and cold, and despite a minor hiccup in opening the frangelico bottle, my mom dug her spiked coffee. All in all, I’d be more than willing to give DJ’s a second try next time I’m in the area. A quick glance at the menu definitely enticed the taste buds, and DJ’s managed to be comfortable without the whole meathead atmosphere that seems to dominate the other local sports bars. My mom and I kept remarking how we’d like to come back and try lunch there soon, and I can guarantee that’s something I’ve NEVER said at the Greatest Bar.
