Express

I went in to pick up a new suit and shirts today (50% off black Friday week woo!) Shaun (Sean, shawn?) helped me out from the moment I walked in and found my perfect size and fit for all clothing pieces. He was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! Like legitimately just an awesome human being who helped me get exactly what I wanted and was super friendly the entire time. I’ve been in this store a few times now and I can honestly say that every time has been a really pleasant experience. The staff and selection here are awesome!
Oh also, I’ve been wearing their clothes for a few months now and nothing has fallen apart or degraded in quality, as I’ve seen other people post below. Not sure what that’s about, but each garment does have cleaning instructions to make sure you take care of your new clothing well.

i was there sunday night 12/​07/​2014 me and my wife ready to spend at least 500 dollrs unfortunately we met very rude sales man was very bad experience after my wife confront him saying that he is very rude and this is not a good way to do business all he had to say if you dont like our service you can leave we also talkes to the store manager unfortunatly didnt take our complain seriousely so at the end we listened to the sales man advise and we did left the store wiith spending 0 dollars instead spending 500 dollars so i see that the big looser here is the company so they need to hire better sales rep

Huge store with plenty of styles for both men and women with lots of staff who are trying to keep things organized (it seems hard as the store is always busy).
Good sized sale section, and overall a good mix of work and fun.
A bit too expensive for what they sell, but I have had their peacoat jacket for 5 years…

Great staff, excellent shirt/polo’s/t-shirt/blazers selection. Validate parking for the prudential garage which comes out pretty cheap as well for short trips.
One of few brands that have 3fitting sizes for men’s shirts (modern, fitted & extra slim). Plus literally any color u want for shirts. Ties, colognes are pretty good as well. One of few places which carry pants/​shorts & belts in 28 size.
Overall they carry a great selection of men’s clothing/​accessories & pretty cheap too (especially if u buy during sales & have coupons). They have rotating sales and u can buy some of the items at literally 60% off or more if u can find ur size.
–1 star because of few small things. Online sales are usually better (selection/​merchandize wise, which is understandable). Sometimes using the try room takes time since they are locked & only staff can open them. Don’t carry certain merchandize lines etc in store. Rarely some the single colored shirts loose color pretty quickly (in few washes).

Express has always been hit or miss for me though I’ve always had good luck finding the classic black work pants and a good cardigan. The last time I went in I was looking for cute Parisian dresses and though I ended up empty handed, the saleswomen was so attentive I actually wanted to let the manager know how awesome this chick was. I was more than impressed.
Express is a good staple store though… sometimes you’ll get lucky.

This was my first time in an Express store, and I was impressed with the service (very friendly without being pushy) and the quality of clothing. I’m not a huge fan of the clubwear, but the suiting is well made and very flattering. I just wished this store carried more selection in 0 long — I would have bought several pairs of slacks, rather than the 1 they had in my size.

I dont usually shop at Express the sizing is off for me usually I need something smaller or more fitted than they sell. Anyways, I walk by this store everyday on my way to the train I noticed they were having a big sale and figured why not pop in. I ended up trying on some of their extra skinny/​stretchy jeans not sure what they are called. They actually fit well, I am tall and the length is perfect. The sales girl told me they were her favorites in the store– She was very helpful and nice– I didnt feel like I was being lurked or forced to buy anything. I bought the jeans and a skirt that fit well. My only complaint is the smell of the black jeans– they have an odd chemically odor– which has nothing to do with the store itself. just something to think about.

The staff at this branch was pretty helpful and the inventory’s solid — managed to find the coat I was looking for to check the look and fitment before I ordered it online for less =D
Do note though that spread collar shirts aren’t available here in case you’re in the market for those.

I had such a great experience at this Express recently. I came in about an hour before they were closing and quickly got carried away. I’ve lost a lot of weight recently, so I had quite a bit of shopping to do. They set up a fitting room for me right away, and when I finally got around to trying things on, the fitting room attendant helped me out so much. She went off to grab things in various sizes and colors, and suggested different styles if they didn’t have the size I wanted in something. I actually ended up liking several of her suggestions over what I had chosen for myself! I’m still getting used to my new body shape and she was so helpful. By the time I was done trying things on, the store was closed, but I REALLY wanted a particular belt in a size that wasn’t out on the display. I felt so bad asking someone after they were clearly closed, but I did, and they gladly went in the back and dug through a box to bring me my beautiful belt. I couldn’t have asked for better customer service. By the time I was walking out the door, it was easily 15 minutes after closing. I hate to be that customer, but not one of the five employees seemed bothered that I was still there at all. I will definitely be coming back to this location soon.

This is the GO-​TO place if you need a specific colored dress shirt. While express has nice styles overall, the reason I came in was because I needed a solid red shirt. Their 1MX shirts are the bomb. They come in ‘fitted’ fit and ‘modern’ fit, modern fit is just a tad looser, like I was in between S and M for the fitted, but the modern fit S was perfect. They do have a weird fitting system for the shirts on which you get to try on a ‘tester’ shirt. This is a little odd, but works for me.
The sales staff (James) was super friendly and very hard working, he was very helpful.
The location is also great, this is at the Shops at Prudential.

This review assumes you already know what styles they sell and price ranges they offer (think whatever is in at the moment and middle of the road prices).
I’ve been shopping at Express for 10 odd years, and still going stong.
It was my first credit card for Christ’s Sake — no joke!!!
Anywho, it’s worth giving them your mailing addy so they can send you 30% off your entire purchase coupons every other week. You’re bound to use one of them!
And another thing — if you give your email, yes, they will send you deals at 3 AM and you just might be woken up by a «3 DAYS ONLY!» email convincing you that you most definitely need to go in and lay down a cool $ 200 on the hottest fall styles because you’ll save $ 50 if you do. HowEVER — if you bring your phone in and show them the email, they’ll give you the discount!
I got to give Express even more credit, because again and again, I’ve forgotten my coupons, and I go back in with them and they credit me — or better yet — ask what one it was and give me the credit without even having the coupon! How many retails places do that nowadays? Exactly.

And AT ALL COST DO NOT! I REPEAT! DO NOT GIVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS! THEY STALK YOU! EVERY DAY! LIKE IN THE MORNING at 6AM and i get my email on my phone. SO FML.
But if you need a outfit for one night. And i mean one night. Because once you wash the clothes you bought. the seems come loose and it all falls apart. Wear it a second day… (homless look) esque. after the second wash. The clothes EXPLODE! PPOOF! death.

I love their «Editor» style pants for work. They fit great and not too pricey.

Ok, so you walked in on her and Jose doing the horizontal mambo on the $ 300 duvet cover that your parents bought you as a present for «finally finding a girl worth moving in with.» First stop crying and convince yourself this is a good thing… well some type of thing. The first thing you want/​need to do is get a new wardrobe if you want to be a successful bachelor in Boston. You heard me, you can’t wear those worn out sweatpants that you like to watch the game in anymore, well at least not in public.
Getting new threads doesn’t have to break the bank. Check out express when it has sales. The «go to» items are the dress shirts and the producer pants. The dress shirts, called the 1MX shirts, come in every color you could imagine. Aside from the classic cut, there is also a fitted cut that has the magic power of hiding those love handles you developed over the past few years candle light dinners of fried chicken wings. Stick to solids and simple stripes, that way if you rock back and forth at a bar, or «dancing» as you call it, you wont give any women a seizure. The shirts are cotton and for the most part all button cuffs (as opposed to french cuffs). When the shirts are on sale think about buying a tie, but make sure it matches the shirt.
The producer pants are the run of the mill dress pants, but cut better for your butt. Coming in every type imaginable they make a good alternative to jeans. Express also offers more sporty zip-​ups, but they are heavily logo laden making the Adidas store a better alternative since then at least you can avoid the question of why there is a huge lion on your track jacket.
The help can be hit or miss. This is the perfect opportunity to practice on your communication skills in a non-​threatening environment, as it is their job to talk and help you.
Bottom line: $ 100=new wardrobe=what you get from pawning the watch she gave your for your two year anniversary that the pawnshop owner tells you is actually a fake.

Woohoo, my first First Review!
I came here with a friend who wanted to return some clothes she bought there a few days before, and walking through the store to the register I thought that the layout was a little bit off.
But anyway, the cashier was great about returning and totally refunding the clothes with no problems at all. Wow. And it’s not that the cashier didn’t care — she asked my friend if there was anything wrong with the clothes she bought and tried to offer different suggestions — it’s that store policy is cool like dat.
So, on our way back out, I saw the men’s section branching off awkwardly to the side. «Ooh, shirts,» said I. «We should get you a new going-​out shirt!» said she. And thus began our search for a new shirt.
The staff in that section were just as great as the ones at the cashier, rummaging through shelves of shirts to get my size. I know it’s their job, but sometimes it’s like pulling teeth — not so here. They’re glad to do it. Or so I thought.
When it came time to try on the shirt in the fitting room, the store rep asked me NOT to unfold and unravel my potentially new shirt to try it on because then it would be a «pain in the ass» to fold it back again later. Umm, excuse me, I thought that the point in trying it on is to actually see how it looks on me. Or do things work differently in your world?
He handed me an identical-​cut but different-​color shirt (a horrid purple thing) that was sitting on a hanger just outside the fitting room, and assured me again that the cuts were identical. Oh well, if they’re identical, then why not, I guess there’s no harm in it. But still. I just thought it was counter-​intuitive to have fitting rooms if a customer can’t try on the clothes he wants to see on himself.

This place is by no means a steal with three-​packs of undies going for $ 34 each pair, but sometimes you never know what you might find. I’d shop here again, but next time I won’t be so nice. Those buggers better get ready to fold.
