This one’s getting a review. I eat at Fargo’s regularly when I work at the convention center. I usually order a sandwich like the Scollay Square(which is very good) or a meatball sub(which is somewhere between ok and good. On the good side). But today I decided to get something different, mostly because I’ve been eating poorly lately. I wanted a Caesar salad but they don’t have one, so I decided on a Chicken Kabob Pita. Excellent. Delicious. Best entrée I’ve ever ordered from this place.

4 stars with the caveat that I’ve only tried one thing here because I’m obsessed with it. Obsessed like whenever I have a day off, one of the highlights is that I can go here for lunch. I always get the chicken salad with the salad mix and Italian dressing in a pita wrap with american cheese. Maybe I was sheltered growing up but I had never tried this combo before Deli Of Course. It’s sooooo good. The Italian dressing gives the entire wrap a great flavor and the salad mix gives it a nice crunch. The pickle they pair with it(I’m guessing it comes with every sandwich) is also my favorite out of anywhere I’ve been. Cash only but there is an ATM inside the building. Prices and portions are decent too — about $ 7 for a wrap that I usually only eat half of and save the rest for later because it’s so large. My parents usually split theirs. The Italian dressing can get a little messy if it leaks in the bag so it would be nice if they wrapped it in tin foil instead of just paper.

I live across the street for the past 6 years and have been trying to understand why I keep going back and convenience seems to have been that main motive after the food BUT i’m done they don’t F’n Listen and are the rudest people that I’ve encountered at a sandwich shop — they do know we pay their bills! As of now i will walk the extra distance to Pace so by to all at Deli of course in Fargo! Just to add to the misery — didn’t listen to the order and got it wrong again and i also found almost cooked chicken and a piece of plastic. Downhill! Good by again — I was hoping for a smile and my favorite meal at your place but goodby forever.

Walked over from working after hearing good things and it’s something different in the area to try. Ordered a Greek salad and ended up with brown lettuce, one tomato and black olives NOT kalamata olives which I had specifically asked them for. Gross. Wish i could get my money back.

I’ve been working on Fargo street for past 2 weeks 6 days a week. Most of those days I had lunch at deli of course. In a few words: food is great, service is fast and friendly. The owner wrapped my sandwich personally and his wife took payment. Experience turned out to be great because I was treated like a family member. He even asked my name, and the next day called me by the name, as well as everybody in the line in front of me. Of course, those guys work there for years, but I only was there for several weeks and this place made me happy during my lunch time! Great and highly recommended! Definitely try their gyros!!! enjoy!

Horrible service and attitude here. You’d be better off just eating a can of soup than waste your money here. Go down the street to jimmy johns or Sals if you want a decent sandwich.

What’s up with the all the haters. Deli of course has been serving great food for over a decade. Sounds like a smear campaign to me.

Have to agree with my fellow Unilocaler below. I dont see the nice guy who used to work there bagging the food with a great happy smile with no attitude next to the cashier lady any longer maybe they fired him due to him being unlike them. Went in for a sandwhich the other day it it felt depressing… Pretty good luch food but i think i’ll go somewhere else.

I work in the Fargo building and have bought coffee or lunch from this place almost daily for almost three years. The pros: The chicken kabob roll up and felafel rollup are both very good. The service is extremely fast — even at the busiest hours. The coffee is not bad. Nothing else is worth buying. And I am actually making a week’s worth of lunches on this Sunday night so I never have to go there again. The folks who work here are so rude and so downright bizarre that it is just not worth it. They have a captive audience — an entire building with nowhere else to go. They charge pretty high prices for everything. Yet the café is utterly lacking in charm — no attempt to even make it a nice place to eat. But I would happily overlook that if they ever smiled or ever acted like they recognized me from my DAILYVISITS. I probably have spent more than a thousand dollars there over the past three years. ASKMEHOW I AMTODAY. SMILE. Instead, they actually radiate contempt for their customers. They snarl. They snap. They randomly jack up prices. They glower. They argue. The last straw for me was a small one, but it did it. I was in line Friday to buy a seltzer, which I was holding. I was responding to a work text while I was waiting for the line to move so I could pay the cashier. One of the surly guys behind the sandwich counter snapped at me, ‘what do you want? HELLO?!’ I didn’t want a sandwich. If I did, I would not have been texting. So unnecessary. So hostile. Really no way to treat any fellow human, but certainly no way to treat someone who gives you money EVERYDAY. There is one very nice friendly normal guy who works with the rest of the angry gang. I feel sorry for him.

Doesn’t accept credit card, and the food looked like cafeteria food. The atm in the lobby also didn’t work.

do not go here unless you are starving, it’s pouring or freezing outside, and you have no choice. the people working there are typically the most sour bunch i’ve ever seen. you will always get attitude and they are almost never pleasant. food is mediocre at best. for an $ 8 salad you get lettuce, a giant chunk of cheese, and blob of dressing. if you work in the building, i get it, it’s right there, but you hate yourself for going every single time. i’d consider giving 2 stars for the breakfast sandwich but just can’t get past the attitude. hey Deli of Course — it’s OK to smile and be pleasant once and a while!!!

STAYAWAY! After my past 2 visits, I WILLNEVERGOBACK! I don’t care if the food is good, I will NOT tolerate rude people! The past 2 times I have gone they have made a mistake on my order(due to fault of their own) and have gotten mad and given me attitude about it. I will no longer give these jerks my $$! There are tons of other, better places to go in the area where you won’t be treated badly. Their attitude is appalling here. Hope they go out of business!

Stopped here for a quick lunch on a Friday. It’s inside the Boston Herald(a newspaper) building. The line moves quickly and the sandwiches and salads are put together fast. There is an institutional dining area down a ramp from the deli portion. Four stars for the sandwiches! But 3 stars overall due to the seriously lacking ambiance and atmosphere of the dining area.

Expensive and really not that great. Ate here a few times while on service calls in the building. Unfortunatly there aren’t many options nearby to walk to. Ok for an office cafeteria, don’t make a stop if you aren’t already there. Only plus is the parking lot is free for up to 2 hours, then starts at $ 12 and goes up from there.

Ok, I don’t know how Boston Unilocal-ers do things, but in San Diego, when a place has a 3 star average, it usually sucks. However, this place really doesnt! Its not gourmet food, but for 5 $, its not supposed to be! The deli sandwich(all I’ve tried) was tasty! Fresh turkey, tomato, lettuce, and soft flavorful rye bread. Yes, the pickles taste like cucumbers gone wrong, which is stupid, but thats not exactly a huge offense. I’ll definitely be back here tomorrow, and likely the next day. The sandwiches are satisfying, service fast, and I was out the door paying under 8 $. NOTE: They ONLY take cash! There’s no sign warning you of this, so come prepared!

I was in Boston for work the other day, and not being familiar with the area, decided to eat lunch here. It’s in the ground level of an office building. Its straight to the point. I got a tuna salad, and a dasani water for about $ 9. I went outside to make sure there wasn’t any better options first, but I didn’t see anything in the immediate vicinity, so I was stuck with this place.

Wasn’t really impressed with this place, but it would do in a pinch. Since I was not pressed for time while staying in Boston– I ventured out to other areas of the city to eat.

I stop here for lunch whenever I work at the convention center that is right next door. I was happy when I discovered this place, because there’s really not much that is walking distance in this neighborhood, especially when you only have an hour to eat. It’s a deli inside of an office building, so there are really no outside signs directing you there… But, once you find it, you will be satisfied. It is a decent deli with good prices & daily specials. They have cold cut sandwiches, and hamburgers. Sometimes, they have pasta or fish, and they always have a chicken w/salad & rice dish. Today, I got a turkey club on pita bread w/a V8, and it was perfect! I’m sure I’ll be there again sometime soon…

I work Freelance quite a bit at the BCEC(Boston Convention Exposition Center for those not hip to convention acronym speak) This place is simply the most reasonable lunch place within walking distance. The food is very good never had a bad sandwich and all for less then what the Hotels will charge you for much lesser fare. Part of me wants to not post this review so there isn’t a line out the door when I am next there. The food is very good. I’ll see you online next time I am there.

The area around the Boston Convention Center in South Boston does not have a lot of options in terms of lunch. Plenty of offices are springing up in the refurbished buildings in the area, but until their density reaches critical mass, one can’t expect an abundance of restaurants. If you work within a couple of blocks of the Convention Center, you’ll likely eat here out of necessity at least once. It will happen to you. Don’t feel bad. Well, at least not until you’re done eating. Everything there, including the salad, is on the greasy side and the prices(not the posted prices, mind you, but what you end up getting charged) change almost daily. If you want to spend under $ 10 and under 20 minutes for lunch, this is really the only option you have in the greater Summer St. and D street intersection area. Shame, too, because there are hundreds of hungry professionals that would like good lunch on the cheap. Avoid this place if you can. But if you can’t, bring antacid.
