Totally great massage, at a good price. Stacey was a real pro, and wanted to make sure I was happy…(after a few very stressful weeks of work, and with the holidays coming up, I was in need of some serious bodywork/stress relief. But I’m not a «deep tissue» kind of gal, I like my knots and problem areas to be addressed, but I’m looking for a relaxing experience.) Stacey delivered! The spa was clean and lovely(and yes, the stairway up to the second floor is a bit sketchy), but once you are inside, it is tranquil and(you guessed it) fragrant :) Now, if you are looking for a white robe, slippers, steam sauna, cucumber water type experience for your Kardashian type self, get thee to Exhale or the Mandarin Oriental and tell me how it was. The room I was in was pretty, with candles burning, and some nice jazzy chanteuse music(«Besame Mucho»… always good.) Both the room itself and the table were warm, the towels fresh and Bounce-y fragrant, all elements were conducive to total relaxation. This was the perfect fit for my needs and budget($ 65 for one hour of Swedish, I think deep tissue is $ 75). I left feeling totally blissed out, and slept like a dead person that night(my fave perk of massage). I’m going to start going regularly, cuz the price is right. Definitely give Fragrance a try(because if my review didn’t hook you, the name should). They don’t have a website, or a loyalty program, which they need to get on. They do give a really good massage, and that’s why I’ll go back.

The best massage I’ve had in Boston. Stacey really got the balance right between firm and soft. She is very talented and well worth the visit. Thanks!

Don’t know about other offerings but I was ONLY after back stepping massages. My work was REALLY stressing me out and I went looking around Chinatown to get my favourite stress reliever. I found Fragrance Day Spa during a Boston snow storm, enquiring by phone for back stepping massage. They had one specialist Coco who specialises in this… well she was EXCELLENT, I went back 3 times just to ensure the stress was gone!!! Then I had to leave Boston… but I will be back!

Have had two really great massages here. They offer light, medium and deep tissue work. Both times I have the medium pressure level. The therapist was very skilled and communicative. Several times she asked whether the pressure was too light or too strong. A warning, the stairway up to the spa is pretty much grimy and filthy, but once you step into the actual spa, you will be pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is luxurious and comforting to say the least. They must have hired an interior designer. Bathrooms are spotlessly clean. Pricing ranges from $ 65 to $ 75 for one hour. Bottom line: you get an excellent massage in an environment with great ambiance and that works for me!
