I can only speak to the GYRO but best in Boston. I have tried about 3 – 4 other greek/medit food in the Boston/Brighton/Needham area and this was BYFAR the best I’ve had. There Tzedziki was outstanding(thicker, not watery)! Fries/Meat a touch salty but wouldn’t change my review in comparison to the lack luster options of greek food in the Boston area.

I’ve been coming here regularly since I moved to Boston. I have yet to have a bad meal, experience, you name it. So. Good. My go to is a pork gyro but the chicken is good as well. I love love loveeee their spanakopita but if you go late in the day they are usually sold out. Baklava, Greek fries, you name it. It’s all worth it. Also, a proven hangover cure. And the outdoor seating is perfect when it’s nice out.

The food is great, people are friendly. I’d like some tables. In the winter there isn’t enough seating.

The food here is really great and generally the service is decent(a little slow, but you’re usually willing to wait for good food and they’re generally reasonably friendly — by Boston standards ;-) Craving a gyro? Go here!

Absolutely love this place. Fast and fresh. The portions are good and parking is usually easy to find.

Love their traditional pork gyro. This place is one of my favorite places to get food near school. It’s very clean and they make everything very fast. The only thing I would say is that, in my opinion, the gyros are a little bit expensive. It’s $ 8 for one gyro rap. Other than that, the food is great.

If you’re ever near Fenway and are looking for a cheap but filling meal, look no further! I stopped by for dinner one day and had the chicken gyro dinner plate which included very generous portions of chicken and fries, complimentary pita bread, and a medium-sized salad, all for just ten bucks — wow! The chicken tasted good with the tzatziki sauce and the fries and salad were both good as well.

The pork gyro was amazing! Finally, we are seeing a good gyro place. They have great meat, awesome sauces, and a decent price at about $ 8 for a meal that will definitely fill you up. I wish they would open a food truck!

Was looking for a delicious gyro in the city and I think this is the best one so far! Tried Shawarma King in Brookline(food was mehh and poor service), Zo(tasty, but tasted too clean and not greasy enough?!). This hits the right balance with deliciousness and grease. I’m not the biggest fan of having fries(would rather have more meat), but it tastes pretty good. I usually don’t care too much for a place for quick eat but it’s super clean too!

Had the traditional pork gyro– it was ok… The meat tastes not very fresh. It was missing something though… Maybe more veggie? Or cucumber? Or sauce??? The fries were ok though. Speedy service. Not sure if I would come back.

Stumbled upon this place after walking around Fenway and among the line of great options, decided to go to gyro city. Boyfriend and I split the chicken gyro and the pork gyro plate. Holy moly was it good. The chicken gyro comes with this amazing mustard sauce which might put this particular meat and sauce combo ahead of the rest. I thought that having the fries already inside of the gyro would make it weird, but it totally works and makes it oh-so-delicious. The pork gyro plate was also yummy, but I might go for the chicken next time. Comes with a greek salad, tzatziki and warm white or wheat pita bread. The greek salad was refreshing and a great accompaniment. It essentially was a large deconstructed gyro with some salad. There are a few seats inside and plenty outside if the weather is nice. Will definitely be back.

So amazing I literally had to stop in and have some chicken gyro after eating two entrees next door at el pelon. I nearly destroyed myself as a consequence but if that doesn’t testify my love I don’t know what could.

Please never leave! I was so happy when you opened in fenway, then I moved over to mission hill and I still walked over because you have, hands down, the best greek food I’ve had in Boston. Customer service is amazing everytime too!

I have found my new favorite Gyro spot! I’ve been to a few Greek restaurant as of recently and this is by far the best. The interior is pretty plain but all the foods are in front of you as you watch them make your food creation. Beware that the menu is behind you on the wall as your facing the the register. I thought it was weird at first that there wasn’t a menu so I grabbed a take out menu to look at. I finally noticed the large menu on the wall as I was waiting for my food outside. I ordered an authentic pork gyro with all the topping. I don’t know why people are complaining about small portions sizes, by the looks of mine it looked more than plentiful. The meat was being shaved all the time, so you know that the food is fresh and isn’t just sitting around for god knows how long. The pork was very well seasoned and tender, every bite was exploding with flavor. Authentic food made by actual Greeks. It was wicked hot when I went last night and they don’t have air conditioning inside so I opted to do outdoor seating. The guy who took my order was rude and had the attitude of hating their job. I felt like if I was a hinder for placing a food order. After receiving the food, the people who ordered before us noticed me taking to my friend about his rudeness and decided to chime in and agreed with us. This was my only complaint, which is why I gave it a 4 star instead of 5. I will be back for the food but hopefully this guy changes his piss poor attitude.

I really enjoy this little block of Peter-whatever street. It seems little known but hopping, and there are SO many choices. You can eat in, you can take out, you can sit outside. There is Mexican, Persian, American, French, Greek, Middle Eastern, Froyo… You want it, you got it. Just come to this little block near Fenway. But I digress. This was only my second time on this block. The first time I went to Neighborhood’s. This time, I came to Gyro City, mostly because of the price point and the beautiful cone of greasy meat I could see from the window. I ordered the pork gyro, while my boyfriend ordered the lamb souvlaki sandwich. On paying, I was quizzed about my credit card — «what is your credit limit if you have terrible credit?» It was odd, but oddly charming. We sat outside with our sandwiches, though we did have to ask a couple sitting there to move their backpacks(which had been carefully strewn to make it clear that no one was welcome… but it was raining and their backpacks were taking up critical umbrella cover). My gyro was delightful. Exactly what you would expect from a pork gyro, French fries poking out of it, delicious tzatziki. The lamb souvlaki sandwich was also very good, but tasted like there was significantly less grease in it. So, if that is your thing, then you are cleared for Gyro City. I probably wouldn’t make a point of coming back — it was not quite cheap enough, nor was it quite good enough. But, it is a completely solid option on the block, a block loaded with lots of just that — solid options. Gyro City, 3 stars. This block of restaurants, 5 stars. Bring your date here and you can choose where to go together and learn something about each other in the process.

So just before we got into the Red Sox game we definitely needed to eat. So my wife remembered Greek city, so I said why not. The place is fantastic the food overall is delicious staff very nice and friendly. The place looked super clean and very organized. So we ended up getting the traditional pork gyro and the fries with the cheese and oregano. The wrap was super good just overall fantastic very filling. A ton of flavor at every bite, just really good food. Definitely very authentic and not with an American touch. They had seating outside and inside but only downside is that during the summer the inside is not really a/c’d. So it’s super hot because of all the cooking but I can only tell with the one time I come into this place on a hot day. No the less awesome place that you should definitely check out.

When I went to Gyro City for lunch yesterday, I was so relieved that I didn’t have to suffer through the plague of indecisiveness that I get everytime I look at a menu. Gyro City offers a very straightforward menu: a variety of gyros, salads, some sides and a couple desserts. I took me less than a minute to decide what I wanted(a Traditional Pork Gyro) and only a couple minutes for them to make it. To my delight, it was completely overstuffed with some of the freshest and most delicious shaved pork I have ever sunk my teeth into. The woman who took my order was very friendly, and didn’t hesitate to help me with the proper pronunciation of gyro(YEE-RO) when I asked. In addition to indoor seating, there are also a number of picnic tables right outside the restaurant — perfect for a warm summer day. Can’t wait to go back and try the Lamb Souvalaki and the Spanikopita!

Love the gyros! Had the lamb souvlaki and it was ok, gyros were much better. Huge portions and fries are inside the gyro. Great pre-Red Sox stop.

One Saturday morning after a night of drinking, I browsed GrubHub for a cheap delivery option. When I sorted my options by «highest rated» Gyro City showed up at the top of the list. I’m honestly not a sandwich lover and find gyros to usually be too bready and also too messy, but after reading through some of the reviews, I thought I’d give it a try. And now I’m hooked. The meat is so tender and flavorful. The fries are a great touch. The pita is thin, not overwhelming and doughy– you taste the filling the most. And it’s so neatly wrapped to perfection you can eat the whole thing up without a plate! I’ve since tried the pork gyro and pork souvlaki and keep craving more. And it’s by far the cheapest delivery i’ve gotten. There’s a good amount of delicious raw onion on the sandwich. If you’re not a raw onion lover, definitely ask them to leave it off.

Perfect quick lunch spot if you’re in the mood for Greek food. I was aiming for something a bit lighter but then again, who doesn’t like fries in their gyro? Ambience: Not a whole lot of seating aside from the bar along the wall with a max of 10 – 12 seats. Really designed as a place to either pick up food, grab a quick bite or get delivery(they deliver for free apparently). Food: I went for the chicken gyro. A little heavy on the mustard sauce– I was in the mood for something lighter. But the flavor was spot on, chicken was tender and the whole wheat pita was perfect. Plus, having grown accustom to Pittsburgh food, the fries inside are an added bonus. Definitely reasonably priced around $ 7 – 8. The baklava looked fantastic as well but I didn’t have the stomach space to try it. Service: Quick(waited about 3 – 5 min) and got everything right. Nothing really to complain about.
