It works but… In 2012 I tried HMRs Decision Free Program. I lost a lot of weight, very fast. The food was very good and they do provide a ton of support. But alas I gained it all back. Pros — Food is amazing and most of it doesn’t need to be refrigerated. — It works. If you do it, you will lose. — the food mostly has all the nutrients you need. — the classes are like *weekly* brain washing sessions that honestly, you kind of need when you are losing weight. — my health insurance paid for most of the medical portion. — they do provide a phase 2 — maintenance. Cons — Limited Locations and class times. No weekend anything. Not a ton of selection in class time or locations to attend. — An arrogant refusal to work with people. Complete failure to be realistic about dieter’s life outside the class. You will just do what they say or your out. I just ended up telling them what they wanted to hear. My boss doesn’t care about my diet! Just because your boss is HMR doesn’t mean mine cares. — not everything is paid for by insurance and yes. it is expensive. — you will get sick of the food. — depending on the class, it can be a complete waste of time. Completely insensitive to have working people in the same class as non working. I have to get home to get up tomorrow, I don’t have time for your blustering because you have all night. — no metabolism testing. Your just guessing for the first weeks. — class time would be much better as a mandated 1 hour exercise session each week. — phase 2 is a year. Who can afford such things? No one can so most people gain it back. — medical portion was kind of a joke. Took your BP and medicals about every three months. If you have to lose weight no matter what… I would go here. But if you want to find a program that you can take it a bit slower. I would go elsewhere.
