This bar/restaurant is incredibly charming with a delightful wine and beer selection. I can’t speak to any meals, but I did leave with a sticky bun in a doggy bag and it was absolutely delicious. The owner(and bartender), Brian, is a gem of a person and truly artistically talented. All of the artwork displayed is his own and he even built the bar, using reclaimed elevator metal. This place will no doubt become one of the hot spots as Fort Point grows… and will now be my local watering hole when I’m working in Seaport.

Had a chicken sandwich that was 70% fat. Prices are high and the selection leaves a lot to be desired.

Holy garbage. I just wanted a latte. Instead, I got 1⁄3 of a cup of latte and 2⁄3 cup of foam(I took a picture of the cup and the foam separated after I scooped it out). They also charged me $ 1 over the price listed in the menu, though that may have been the upcharge for soy milk, to be fair. Wish I had known before I tipped.

This location is only ideal for those who work in the Fort Point area and need to access breakfast or a drink after work. It is a café by day and a bar by night and independently owned! I came with a girl friend for dinner after work, and it is definitely not T accessible or commute friendly. There is also a hair salon directly next door so women who are getting their hair dyed can literally come by with tin foil in their hair and have a drink in hand while waiting for their hair to set. Unless you work in the Fort Point area or are getting your hair done there, it is not really worth the trek. All of the menu options were pretty standard, with sandwiches/wraps, salads, pricier entrees, and charcuterie(of which none were available that night). Nothing really stood out as particularly unique or special, but some of the wraps have rice inside of them. I got the BEERFLIGHT($ 8), which comes with four 5 oz pours of beers of your choice. Most of the beers were local from the Northeast, but there was so much selection given verbally that I was definitely overwhelmed. I opted for a variation from an Allagash White to a dark stout, but I don’t really remember the names at all. I also got SALMONPOINTS($ 10), which were smoked salmon atop cream cheese on small sized toasts. This was accompanied with a small salad, but the dish itself was honestly something you could make at home.

Excellent food, drink, and service. Lovely ambiance. I highly recommend. Get the curry chicken or blueberry chicken. You won’t regret it.

Best kept Secret in Fort Point/Channel Center. Only problem is it’s not open weekends! Perfect for a Friday night though and never gets crowded. Food is amazing and vibe is great. It’s themed like an artist studio and mellow music. Sometimes live music on Fridays. Owner is extremely friendly and often works the bar. Great wine variety. Food is the best part though. Get the Mildly Curried Chicken and Kiwi on Jasmine Rice. You can’t beat it! If Fort Point restaurants are full it’s only a short walk up A Street. I prefer it to most of those restaurants anyways. And almost forgot to mention… Board games and books to borrow while you hang out! Not your typical Boston restaurant. If it’s empty don’t worry! Worth it!

A great addition to Fort Point. The egg sandwich is hands down the best breakfast sandwich in the city and I find the staff very friendly. It’s a great spot to post up solo to read/get some work done or equally as great to have a nice relaxing evening with wine/craft beer. The ONE thing I would change is the fact that they aren’t open on the weekends. Even if it was just in the morning on Sat/Sun to grab a quick bite and coffee I would be pumped. Fingers crossed this happens in the near future!

GOOD… Really Good pastrami roll up sandwich. BAD… No greeting, very little eye contact, no smile, no thank you, no good bye EQUALS…Will try again because the food was soooo good. But PLEASE, at least pretend that you are interested in my business or you won’t get it.

I love the atmosphere, to sit and read a book and drink some coffee. But the food is so expensive and just kind of alright. I got a salad and a bowl of soup, with chicken on the salad and it came to just under $ 18. The chicken was dry and cold, and there were 4 small pieces on the salad. I won’t do that again. The soup was great. Really enjoyed it(Jerk Chicken) and used my little tiny bread slices to dip in the soup. That alone was bliss. Take some time, bring a book, have a cappuccino, some soup, sit with a friend, and relax. The place is perfect for that. The only thing that would make it better would be overstuffed chairs/loveseats for the passing of the time and enjoying of the bean. The staff is incredibly friendly, which is always a blessing in this world.

The egg sandwich is really good. I don’t know why it’s been so hard for me to find a good egg and cheese in this city, but they’ve got it. I also came here for lunch and the sandwiches(vegetarian wrap & chipotle chicken melt) were delicious. They also have games(Scrabble, Munchkin, Blokus, and Clue to name a few…) which my husband and I took advantage of. Staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is modern and clean. Really great new place… can’t wait to try dinner!

We went for a Mosquito Slam, which was pretty popular. It then took an hour and a half for food to arrive. Had the food been stellar, it would have been okay. But it wasn’t. They did support my food allergies(gluten, dairy, soy) with some blueberry chicken and jasmine rice. I’d consider going back for a slam, but not to go independently.

I’ve been here multiple times now, and every time gets better. Staff is always attentive and informative. Tried some new items tonight pizzetta and charcuterie plate. Both Great. It’s nice to have a spot in the neighborhood where the owner Brian makes it a point to say hello and get to know all his guests. Great job internal matter.

Every cluster of offices should be so lucky to have a place like this in the neighborhood. They have real bagels here – not overly puffy or dense – and the staff is kind and calm. Plenty of seating(for singles at the bar or groups gathered by the windows), stacks of games and magazines to entertain yourself, plus, you get to freak people out when you schedule a meeting with the location or subject listed as: Internal Matter.

Oh. My. God. I just scarfed down the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. I work in the area(across the street) and had been meaning to check this place out after my boss sang its praises. I am not a sweets person in the morning, and saw that they had a bacon/egg/cheese with arugula on an english muffin. Sounded pretty standard but Internal Matter has officially set a benchmark for breakfast sandwiches everywhere. First and foremost… they MAKE the english muffins. Where have those been all my life? I can never eat a store bought one again. The egg was between soft and hard boiled and was just the best texture and flavor of anything I could have eaten. I don’t think a lot of people have caught on to this place yet(it is, though, a pretty sparse neighborhood still), but I’m confident they soon will. If they put enough care and effort into a measly breakfast sandwich, imagine what they can do with the other two meals of the day! Can’t wait for noon to come around so I can go back for lunch…

Love this place. What’s better its owned and run by a real fort point artist! It has a real fort point vibe and not some manufactured scene. Food is fresh, service is amazing!!!

A long-awaited necessity in Fort Point arrived to great neighborhood cheer. Whether you want a breakfast sandwich, espresso, or a glass of wine after work its finally available. Its such a fun space too, balancing coziness with industrial-chic and interesting artwork on the walls.
