If you expect mall grade Chinese food from this place you won’t be disappointed. Really, when it remained unopened for months did anyone expect it to be gourmet or even authentic Chinese? There was no indication that it would be anything other than cheap mall food. But, sometimes cheap mall Chinese food is exactly what you want.

This place took a while to open, but I have to say it isn’t half bad. I usually go between 12:00pm-1:00pm Monday-Friday, so the food is always hot when I get some. I’ve tried just about everything and have never felt sluggish after a meal. Basil Chicken and Orange Chicken seem to be my food items of choice. They are pretty friendly, the prices aren’t bad and they do a pretty good job at giving decent portions based on how many sides you get. Prices range from $ 3 and some change to $ 6 and some change. All in all, it ain’t too shabby a place to eat.

Iron Wok is one of many options in the City Place Food Court. Just another hot plate Chinese food place, not too different than your typical Panda Express. For the last twelve months, there has been a sign on the wall that has said Opening Soon. They should have spent the last twelve months preparing better. It’s your typical mall Chinese food, served cold with extra heapings of MSG. With Chinatown a block away, do yourself a favor and walk down the street.
