Jamba Juice

I love this place. I live in michigan where they don’t have Jamba Juice… So I was super excited to pass one on my way in to Boston! Very good and very fresh. Be sure to check out their hidden menu!

Best smoothies everrrrrrr!!! I swear I could drink them morning, noon, night and anytime between that lol I wish they would expand and open shop in Rhode Island!

This place is my favorite for smoothies! So many yummy (and healthy) combinations. Many of the combos are really sweet … I recommend the smallest size to prevent yourself from getting tired of the flavor. Jamba is on the expensive side, but it’s so worth it. Mango-​a-​go-​go and Razzmatazz are the bessssssstttttt!

I love Jamba Juice! I especially love the fact that this location is now no longer in the BU food court and is instead on Commonwealth Ave all by itself. It’ll mean that we can finally have Jamba in the summer when it is desperately needed. Parking may be difficult to find around here, so plan to get here by MBTA or walk if possible.
Favorite smoothie is the Caribbean Passion. You can’t really go wrong with that one.

Why there are not more Jamba Juices in the city, I will never understand. They are located on the campuses of BU and Northeastern, so, for old folk like me, you have to trek onto student terrain to enjoy your Pomegranate Paradise. It’s not so bad, you get some decent people watching done and learn all about how Tyler like totally left Molly at the party. I am pretty sure they are never (ever) getting back together. The all fruit smoothies are killer and I love having the option of a free vitamin boost. The only downside is the styrofoam cup induced inner struggle I end up with every time. How are you so terrible for the environment styrofoam, yet you keep my drink so deliciously cold? Damn you, you sly temptress.

I’m a Jamba Junkie
Thankfully the BU Jamba Juice moved out of the GSU at 775 Commonwealth Ave and moved across the street to the street level of Warren Towers at 700 Commonwealth Ave. That means its just a regular shop on the street where anyone can walk in without having to enter a campus facility.
They are pretty much brand new so all the employees are still looking at the guides when they make your smoothie. Thats okay though… people’s drinks were coming out pretty quickly and of course mine came out perfectly fruitishly refreshing. OMG I just came up with… Fruitishly® !!

Maybe its because I grew up in South Florida, where competing smoothie shops grace at least two corners of most major intersections. Maybe it is the dairy allergy that sends me in search of sweet treats sans milk. Or maybe it is the healthnut that I have become that desires at least some nutrition in the course of the workday. Whatever it is, I have a smoothie addiction… and it doesn’t show any sign of disappearing.
It was only after moving here nearly a decade ago that I would learn one of the greatest travesties imaginable: delicious blends of frozen fruit and sorbet are for some reason nearly impossible to find in this otherwise worldly city. Google «smoothie boston.» Go on, do it. Can you hear them? Yep, crickets. There simply aren’t any smoothies to be had. That is, with the glorious exception on Jamba Juice.
For better or worse, Jamba is located in the George Sherman Union of Boston University. As a BU graduate student, I have come to learn that in addition to the $ 5 CASH ONLY dollars, a smoothie will also cost the minimal headache of weaving through teams of students selling candy and raffle tickets, and may hear a bit more than you ever wanted about the social and relationship lives of the under 20-​crowd. Oh, but is it ever worth it! Smooth, delicious, sweet and tangy. The menu has a wide variety of options, from low fat simple fruit blends to chocolatey dessert varieties and body-​building protein shakes. Whatever you choose, avoid the small… you are definitely going to want more!

There are days when I wish Jamba Juice would procreate more like the population of China. I need my smoothie fix like Whitney and Bobby need their. well, you know (hint: it sure ain’t sugar).
Jamba is indeed the Holy Grail of smoothies. It’s almost like an entire meal in a cup. There are a few Jamba smoothies I wouldn’t feed a dog (any grassy soy nondescript green smoothie, for instance), but everything else is oh so…

I LOVE Jamba, but honestly, this one blows. Every time I’ve been here, the line has been extremely long mostly due to slow service. They take soooo long to make their drinks which aren’t even good. Even though it should be the same as every other Jamba Juice, its not. Also, MY SMOOTHY WAS CHUNKY. Like i had to eat my smoothy. Just saying… but I dont think thats how you drink a smoothy x_​x
Maybe the couple times i’ve been here i’ve just been unlucky. who knows? All i know is that ive had a bad impression upon this jamba juice. However, im still and will always be a jamba fan. RAZZMATAZZ for life!

To alot of followers, Jamba Juice is the crack rocks to the addict. The stuff is delicious and will freeze your insides on a hot day. On the flipside, if you drink a large and then try to operate a vehicle an hr later you might crash from the sugar high. I once became narcoleptic talking to a friend after trying this tasty creation (Caribbean passion w/​Immunity). The problem with this location specifically is that its over-​run with college students, when it would be better suited in back bay or finiancial. Orders take 10+ minutes and thats just crazy when they fly out in NYC. Try opening a better franchise location

This location is horrible unless you live across the street in the dorms. As a west-​coaster jonesing for my Jamba fix, there’s no convenient parking or good way to get there between my classes and work. The cash only bit sucks, putting it mildly, but it’s still Jamba, so I have to give it 3 stars.

Actually — there is now a Jamba Juice in the International Village at Northeastern University. It’s right next to the Ruggles stop.
Also — they take credit cards!
Much easier to get to than the one at BU.

I love Jamba Juice for lunch with a wheat grass chaser and it’s as easy as pie to get in SoCal. When I moved to Boston, I started looking for one not realizing MA is the Afghanistan of fruit smoothies. Behold! I see online one address in the entire state and after driving around FOREVER I realize I can’t find it because it’s INSIDE BU.

JJ, how could you do this to me? I thought we had a pretty good thing going between us? You kept me healthy and I made you rich. I am so mad right now I could cheat on you but I can’t find Pinkberry either. Gaud this blows. Even Starbucks is here and this is DD territory.
Fine, one thing MA has in abundance is frozen produce and overly ripe bananas so add that to GNC’s Vanilla Zero Carb Isopure, Odwalla’s OJ or Silk’s Lite Vanilla Soy Milk, and I’ll make my own JJ!
(Seriously, get a store here where civilians can actually go into.)

Having lived in NYC for a brief period of time, I became quiet the fan of Jamba Juice. When I typed the words «Jamba Juice» and «Boston» into google, I did not expect one to appear. When I arrived at 775 Commonwealth I also did not expect that I would have to wonder through the BU student union to find the little stand.
The menu is limited compared to other Jamba locations, the staff was not knowledgeable about the product they were selling, and as many people pointed out – it is a cash only establishment. What does this mean? You have to wonder back through the BU student union to find an ATM (Bank of American in case you were wondering).
I enjoyed the smoothie, as the Strawberry Nirvana was amazing. However, it was just not worth the hassle. Also, unless you are on foot or taking public transportation don’t even attempt to make this journey as there is never any parking to be found.

This would get 5 stars — but they only take cash and the location is semi-​annoying.
The ONLY Jamba Juice within 50 miles of Boston, Massachusetts and it is located in the student union for BU. Seriously people… the only one. Dear lord — how is that not against the law?!
If you have never had Jamba Juice, I highly recommend you try it — their smoothies are great. They even have 100% fruit smoothies for those of us who are «lactose haters» — you know… the LHer’s, holla!
It is not far off the green line at all — less than a block off the B (Boston College) line if you get off at the Boston University Central Station (I know, I know — the BC, BU think gets confusing… but this is correct, trust me.)
One crappy thing, and the only reason they are not getting 5 stars is because they only take cash. Seriously. who only takes cash these days?!
But, despite the cash required aspect — I am still a Jamba addict. I will for sure make my way back several times this summer after a day out in the sun to replenish with fruity goodness… mmm mmm

Jamba Juice is way overpriced so I try to alternate with the mango flavored Naked juice drinks. But there’s something to a nice filing smoothie that costs 5 dollars.
Anyways, the service is never very good. For some reason, one lady that works there likes to take 12 orders at once, then spend the next 35 minutes making them all at the same time. Granted she shouldn’t have to work the lunch rush by herself, but I’m not sure her system is the most efficient. Lucky for me I had some time to kill waiting 35 minutes for a smoothie but this is Jamba Juice, people! Argh.

I’ve never been a huge fan of the whole smoothie revolution, but I have given it several tries in the past, so my reasons for giving this place two stars is legitimate. The first few times I went to Jamba Juice I was happy, but now especially impressed by their smoothies. My last visit, however, would turn me away from this establishment forever. Firstly, the staff mixed up my order twice before they could finally get their act together. Then, when they finally gave me my smoothie, it had the wrong ingredients and tasted awful.
If your into shakes or smoothies I’d recommend you head over to JP Licks or Cold Stone. Their assortment of flavors is much greater than those at Jamba Juice. Also, I’m not crazy about the idea of having a 1,000 calorie smoothie on top of lunch or dinner and having to pay upwards to $ 6.00 for a drink.

In my personal opinion, this is one of the BEST chains out there!
If you are going for a more causal filling breakfast this will to the trick! Cures hangovers pretty well too, if its not too much of a trek from your apartment! And of course, they are good to have just about anytime of day!
Its a bit daunting to enter the BU cafeteria, but well worth the adventure! If you have NEVER had a Jamba Juice, you should be sad at what your life is missing!
My personal favorites (as a person who really likes strawberries and bananas) Strawberries Wild, Aloha Pineapple and Strawberry Tsumani (if its not on the menu they still know how to make it, kinda likes like a strawberry tropical mixed drink minus the alcohol)
UPDATE
They are open SUCH horrible hours, especially in the summer when you REALLY want one they are not open on weekend! They lose a star because I have gone one too many times to find the doors closed and be denied Jamba!

I had a Jamba Juice in the Charlotte airport today. It was a protein Blast. What a great drink! The balance of power in collegiate power has swung to BU only because of this place.
For the uninitiated, Jamba Juice is a 1 Billion dollar company whose mission is to promote health through beter ingredients. I read it in a business book. Eveidentally, they dominate th smoothie market in California and other parts of the country

By far the best place to buy a smoothie in Boston! As a California native, I grew up with JJ everywhere– they are almost as common as Starbucks out there. Boston is a different story.
Located at the BU food dining court– this jamba juice is ALWAYS packed with college kids. Before venturing out there I recommend checking the food court hours. (Often closed during school vacation times and weird hours around the summer).
My top pic: Strawberry Nirvana — a choice from the new «enlightened smoothie» line. Absolutely fabulous!
