Jennings Russell W, MD

Dr. Jennings is the honcho of the Advanced Fetal Care Center in Massachusetts. He and his colleagues are hands down the most innovative, accessible, caring professionals I could have ever asked for.
Prior to my kiddo being born, we were living in Western Massachusetts. My kiddo turned out to have a very rare congenital defect, and that hospital was not equipped to handle it despite their protestations to the contrary.
Very luckily, we did have one doc out there who recognized the truth, and set us up with Dr. Jennings and the AFCC. Immediately, he started treating us like people and not vessels or obstacles like other physicians had.
He took joy in good news, and felt honest and real pain at bad news. he came in at 4 AM on a Sunday for an emergency, and has never failed to see my now almost 10-​year-​old when she needs him, even though she is way outisde his typicl age range now.
Dr. Jennings is a truly great surgeon, but he’s an even better man. It makes a big difference.

I’d give this man 100 stars if I could! He saved our daughter’s life. After speaking with him on the phone, We flew out from San Diego with our newborn daughter, and he met us in the ER at 8 pm on a Friday night. Our daughter spent 3 months at CHB, and Rusty took amazing care of her. He took her to the OR 6 times, and I wouldn’t trust her with anyone else. His knowledge of EA/​TEF is more than anyone else in America, and his surgical skills are phenomenal. On top of all of that, he truly cares about his patients (and their parents). We are forever indebted to him for all he has done for our family.
