Food was delicious, I ordered takeout: Jerk chicken, rice and peas, and Mac & cheese. I completely devoured the meal. The only reason Jerk didn’t receive a 5star, is because the portion was small and they don’t have Jamaican beef patty :(

My co-worker and I tried this place and what a find it was! The guys running this place are super nice and very friendly. All that shows up in their food, which are nothing short of delicious! We tried the jerk chicken and curry goat, with sides of rice and beans(!!!), collard greens, and fried plantains. I cleaned my plate. The homemade sorrel was also very tasty. Whenever I am in that neighborhood, for sure I will be walking through that door!

Ordered the Jerk Chicken and it was AMAZING, definitely the best I’ve had in Boston. The Mac N’ Cheese was okay, however the mixed veggies were perfectly made and not soggy. Wifey enjoyed the curry shrimp which took a while since all seafood is made to order but she had no complaints. Jerk is definitely a new neighborhood favorite for me and I’d encourage anyone that loves jerk food to try this place. You won’t be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I ventured to this hole-in-the-wall Jamaican restaurant before a show on Saturday. It felt slightly odd that we were the only guests in there for a while(even though it was 6:30pm, typically restaurant rush hour). I didn’t mind the emptiness as much as I minded the fact that there were some fruit flies that wouldn’t leave me alone. The server was very nice(he actually seemed to be the host, waiter, and I have a suspicion that he cooked the food too). The Jerk Chicken was seasoned well and fell off the bone. The portions were sized well but I wish the fried plantains and chicken were slightly more moist. Also, I wish the menu was more descriptive… it literally only listed the titles of dishes without any further explanation of what they consisted of(and I’ve never had Jamaican food before so I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect). Altogether I’d say it wasn’t so bad and I don’t regret checking it out.

It was my first time in Boston and this place had great reviews so I figured I would give it a try. Upon first arriving, I noticed we were the only ones in there at 6:30 pm. Not usually a great sign, but decided to not let that deter me. I ordered the oxtail with sides of collard greens and yellow rice. At first glance, I was impressed with how well it was plated. The flavor and spices were delicious, but the meat was particularly fatty and would not come off the bone like I’ve had from other Jamaican cuisine establishments. As far as the sides are concerned, the collard greens were cooked and spiced perfectly, but the rice lacked flavor. The only redeeming factors were a nice ambience and friendly service. Being one of the only customers felt a bit awkward though. Maybe it’s just my high expectations that come with being from New York. In any event, I doubt I would return.

We stopped by on a Tuesday night. One fellow was running the front of the house(host, takeout and server). He was friendly and helpful with the menu. The restaurant décor is airy and comfy. We opted for the stewed chicken and oxtail. We chose plaintain, rice and beans and mac and cheese for the sides. The meats were cooked tendered and with lots of sauce to keep them moist. The stewed chicken was a tad bit saltier than I’d liked. Love the mac and cheese… didn’t expect it to be so creamy and cheesy. Definitely would go back in the near future. Think they offer parking in the back but you have to let the restaurant know so they can open the gate.

Server is very pleasant. The chef came out to give a sample of the drunken crab, not only is the atmosphere clean but everyone is smiling. Needless to say I was under the weather and they had soup ready Lee available I believe soup is on a daily basis which is a plus in the Caribbean restaurant you can never go wrong with some homemade soup

As I’ve been here a couple of times felt like I should write a review. My favorite so far is there jerk chicken although I am am partial to the fried chicken with some Oxtail gravy. Solid jamaican food on a whole and I will be back.

Although the staff was nice, they didn’t seem to have it together. No menus available besides the small board on the wall. They were serving drinks still out of the box. They have some more painting and decorating to do. Food took a minute(the shrimp anyways) but it was pretty good. Plump juicy, seasoned shrimp. Oxtail was delicious. I didn’t like the to-go box so I didn’t take pictures. I’d go again and have a seat. Prices aren’t bad. They might be alright

I ordered take out and the food was mashed together in a single compartment container. The jerk pork was cold despite it was ordered early afternoon. There was a spicy bbq sauce on it that was hardly reminiscent of jerk seasoning. Rice and peas were bland without gravy on top. I’d avoid this restaurant if I were you.

Such a great new place. George the host was warm and charming. Our meals were hot, rightly proportioned and seasoned VERY well. Mostly these JA spots in the city over salted food and run out of certain ingredients. This place had it all. Very community centered as well. Support this new business your stomach will be thankful!!! Their curry was the bomb!

Succulent curry goat with the best restaurant cooked rice and beans I have ever had. I went with my coworker yesterday on our lunch break who purchased the jerk chicken which was tender with just the perfect amount of sauce. The luncheon special was competitively priced and with the fast service we were in and out in a jiffy, regardless of the lunch crowd. We are definitely going back for lunch again.

Excellent, authentic Jamaican food! I had the curry goat with rice and beans which was tender and flavorful. My boyfriend went classic, jerk chicken, which was flavorful and had a great skin but was a tad on the dry side. Our waitress was incredibly sweet as well and the owner came over to chat with us for a few minutes. I can see this becoming a really popular local spot, especially once they get their liquor license. There were a few odd moments though. They didn’t have any menus so our waitress just read us the possible options available. I’ve never had that happen before, but it wasn’t really a problem. Also, I love cabbage and plantains, but my boyfriend doesn’t so he wished there would be more options for sides available. Lastly it took a good 20 minutes to get our check and pay after we had finished eating and our server cleared the table. No one apologized or explained why which was odd, but we had brought a gift certificate from so I’m guessing that caused the hold up. Regardless, my only issues were the kind of hiccups that are common with new restaurants. I’m looking forward to coming back in a few months once they have their feet under themselves a little more.

Finally tried the jerk chicken sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by how amazing it tasted. Never had a sandwich on coco bread before and the portion size was more than I could eat in one sitting. I had mine with lettuce, tomatoes and plantains… yes plantains on a sandwich. Man oh man, that was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted.

I originally was going to order take-out. However, I was enamored by the décor of the restaurant. I decided to dine-in and capture the full experience. I ordered the famous Jerk Chicken and the chef was very accommodating. I don’t eat rice so he cooked me a special blend of vegetables that were well seasoned and delicious. The jerk chicken was flavorful and not too spicy. The chicken was smoked which is a better method because it captures the flavor of all the seasoning and the chicken fell right off the bone! I promise that you will not be disappointed if you dine at Jerk Dining. Dorchester has another ‘hidden jewel’!!

New restaurant in Dorchester I love it. They have all kinds of Jamaican food. I had Oxtails and my grandma had the steamed fish. It’s a dine in restaurant and they have takeout. The owners said they plan on having live music later in the summer which is a plus I foresee date nights :) here. This is a great addition to the neighborhood good food and everyone seems really nice. Can’t wait to go back to try more things! The menu looks great.
