Kashmir is a gem. Their crafts are true works of art; clearly unique and beautifully intricate. We spent quite a bit of time discovering the wonders of the store and wound up leaving with painted papier maché elephants, bangles, and boxes, inlaid with gold leaf and complex designs, and extraordinary wool shawls meticulously hand embroidered with colorful motifs. The staff were completely willing to explain to us the details of each piece, and truly enjoyed helping us. If you’re in the area, check Kashmir out; it’s a welcome presence in an otherwise regular mall, and you definitely won’t regret stopping in.

I purchased a magnificent embroidered shawl from Kashmir Fine Arts & Crafts. It was quite expensive, but worth every penny, as I have never seen such high quality needlework, and the pattern is stunningly gorgeous. I found the staff at Kashmir to be very helpful, polite, efficient and honest. I have never been to the store — I found Kashmir online — but I plan to visit next time I’m in Boston.
