Kidder Smith Gallery

Over the last year, I’ve been impressed by the artists that the Kidder Smith Gallery has shown at their second floor Newbury Street location. They showcase contemporary artists — the people who curate this gallery have a great eye.
Granted, this place is for people with larger wallets who can afford a piece of art in the thousands of dollars, but I must admit — I’ve been tempted to kill my bank account for a few things that have been shown here.
When you enter the place will likely be empty. Expect a curt greeting from someone from the backroom. But they leave you alone after you acknowledge them and they realize that you’re probably not the type to buy something there.
It’s a nice place to get exposed to new artists that you might not find in the ICA or the MFA.
