I really liked Loretta’s! We showed up and were seated right away. We let our waitress Claire know that we had to get to a show and were in a little bit of a hurry and she was awesome. She was super attentive, friendly, and made sure we made it to the show on time. The food was also REALLY good. The fried chicken was awesome. Their drinks are great, and strong, and the whole thing was pretty affordable for that area of Boston. This is a great place to stop in and grab a drink or some food before a game or a show at House of Blues!

Food was terrible. Worst chicken and waffles and waif I knew that all they played was country western music, I would have never stepped foot in here.

Wear headphones or earmuffs walking by because they blast corny country music onto Landsdowne. It can really affect your mood negatively.

Cool place food was good just not my style of southern cooking. The breading on their fried chicken was too thick and bready. I like a light crispy breading so you can get the taste of the juicy chicken with every bite.

The food and service were great! The prices are reasonable too for the quality of food served. Our server was attentive even though she had a lot of tables to take care of. The manager was also friendly and checked in on us several times. Would definitely come again.

Whether you just want an ice cold beer, or a shot of whiskey in a country music atmosphere, your appetite will be welcomed with varied bbq choices and southern delights(i.e.catfish sliders, chicken and biscuits, hushpuppies). The staff, especially ass’t manager, Aaron will do their best to make sure that all your needs are met and you leave happy and satisfied. Their music is some of the rising stars of Nashville some kareoke or line dancing there, too!

Was trying to go to Jillians/Lucky Strike but ended up here instead. It was only a Monday so wasn’t expecting much, but the live music was a nice touch. The food is definitely a southern theme, not bad, but wasn’t amazing by any means. Probably wouldn’t make this place to be a destination unless I was right there and needed a drink.

Boston needs more country bars! I do wish they had a bigger menu. There is also outdoor dining across from Fenway Park

This is hands down consistently the worst food I’ve had in Boston. I’ve been here a few times only because my bowling league team next door wanted to go, and I’ve tried a few things on the menu — griddled burger, some of the super fried appetizers, a sweet potato and turkey hash on the brunch menu — and all were truly gross. The sweet potato and turkey hash was especially heinous. The turkey was chunked into these really unnatural lunch meat-like cubes, rubbery, and flavorless. The sweet potato wasn’t cooked enough or even charred on the sides. It was drenched in a weird, gross gravy that the menu didn’t indicate. I give it two stars because the service is good and the music is usually great, but the food is just so bad I wouldn’t let someone pay me to eat it.

Underwhelming food(fried green tomatoes that could have been bought frozen) and weak sugary drinks.

Country fans like good wine… complete dishwater they serve here for«house wine» and there is no way to upgrade. Small pours for liquor too once we switched to cocktails. There is no «personal connection» here with service, just drop and run, total factory.

I really like this place. To be fair I have only been twice and both times were not a peak busy. But before a show or a game… pop by and grab a fun drink and some snacks. I have not been disappointed. If you want a recommendation… get the fried green tomatoes.

I really like this country joint. The service was spectacular! My friend was an hr late due to traffic but the staff didnt make me feel unwanted or bothersome at all. The food was pretty good. I had the trucker’s bfast(chicken & waffles with 2 eggs, biscuit, homefries and. This could easily feed 2 people. My friend ordered the po boy sans the bread, but she wasnt really feeling it. She also ordered the peanut butter fudge cake. I had a couple bites bc it was so rich. I really like that they have live music here. its a fun place and I recommend it!

Southern Breakfast 2.0 This is a review for Loretta’s amazing weekend brunch — I can’t speak to their evening bar scene. As an ex military guy I’m always in search of that great southern breakfast I used to love so much but have been deprived of in Boston. My wait is over. Not only is Loretta’s breakfast southern authentic but it’s better than anything I remember. Their sausage gravy on a biscuit(aka sos) will make any transplanted southerner shed a tear(Goodbye Cracker Barrel). I’m all about the fundamentals and the eggs have been perfect 5⁄5. Never a grits fan, Loretta’s has made me a believer with their hearty version infused with veggies, cheese, and ham. Teresa — our waitress on several visits — is not only a delightful person but is gifted with an amazing memory, recalling every detail of my party’s previous week’s order right down to the bottle of Tabasco. The entire staff has been welcoming on each visit. If you appreciate the first meal of the day and like me are angered by the site of a continental breakfast you must try Loretta’s Last Call.

Nice American bar that has live music, tv’s to watch games, a full bar and multiple beer selections. Food/sugar wise: delicious drinks(Beehive or the Hibiscus one. served in mason jars!) wings, and lots more! Came here with a group of 12 and were never short on water, alcohol or food. Excellent service. I highly suggest coming here on a game night, or during the weekend to unwind with friends! 10 min walk from Kenmore or Hynes(green line.)

If you’re into country music, a predominantly white, anglo-saxon crowd and some fried food, then this is the place for you! I have never seen so many plaid, flannel shirts in my life. In my opinion they are trying a bit too hard in all the wrong ways. We had reserved a table for a party of 12 online a week in advance. It was a double birthday celebration for two of our friends. Let’s get to the service: The food was alright. Definitely«Southern» style, but I’ve had better. Our waitress was really nice and attentive also. As far as the ambience, it was really loud and hard to hear anyone talk. The most enraging part of our experience came at the end. Before our party had even gotten the bill, they were removing our tables and chairs and putting our stuff on the floor. The guys moving our tables out from over us were really rude also. No apologies, no explanations, just«I’m taking this table and I’m putting this stuff on the floor.» One of our friends had a broken foot and was using a cane but they took her chair anyway and said she could sit next to the bathrooms. We were told their license only allows them to have tables out until 10PM. Even as they told us this, they seated a 7-top at a large table 10 feet away. The hostess came over and apologized and said we’d get 20% off our bill. Well, my bill certainly did not reflect that and it turned out it was«too late» to take the 20% off. Well it only took a whopping 45 minutes for them to bring us the bill, so I guess that’s acceptable? Most of that time was spent standing around wondering whether to pay or take a shit on the floor and leave. They gave our friend a gift card for $ 100 though to make up for the poor service and the 20% that got left on the bill. Great, $ 100 of your money just to come back! Last time I checked, paying customers just to come back isn’t how you succeed in the restaurant business. It seemed that nobody was really in charge or coordinating things there. Nobody came to notify our party that we would need to be done by 10PM, and this was certainly not coordinated with the meatheads who started clearing and unseating us before the bill was even taken care of. Had they not had my debit card already I would have just walked out. Anyway, I won’t be going back and neither will our friend, even though they technically paid her to…

Stopped in after the Sox game before things got crazy. We had to wait a bit after being seated for our drink order. It diidn’t seem horrible but the hostess comp-ed our first round which seamed nice. My partner in crime this day had never had fried pickles so we went with the friend pickles and jalepano’s. They were really good. Kosher slices with a nice coating that was golden fried. For the main deal, we both went with the smoked brisket. I was impressed by the smokey flavor and their restraint in the use of BBQ sauce.(I lived in Dallas for two years and it may be a crime to over sauce brisket there.) Over all it was a solid time. I wasn’t expecting alot but worth stopping in.

Came here for a birthday on a Friday night. They charged $ 5 at the door since there was a band playing… fine. It actually got quite crowded and difficult to maneuver — esp since the restrooms are at the opposite end of the stage. It was just a different scene than I’m used to. It wasn’t bad… just different. And yes, it’s definitely very Southern/Country. A major plus is that they have many restroom stalls in the women’s bathroom. Yes! I tried the front porch sweet tea and it was pretty good. I like how it came in a mason jar and that really adds to the whole experience. I also had the hibiscus kiss, which was a tad too sweet IMO. I’m excited to come try the food next time…
