Make-A-Wish is a wonderful organization. I recently donated a car through their«Wheels for Wishes» program: The car donation process was a breeze. I called Make-A-Wish on a Friday afternoon, and the car was picked up by a towing company by Wednesday. I’m guaranteed to get at least a $ 500 tax deduction for the car, and if the car is sold for over $ 500, I can claim the exact amount for which the vehicle is sold as a tax deduction. The towing company also left a form when they picked up the car stating that I’ve donated the car to Make-A-Wish, which I really appreciated, since no one was home when the car was picked up.(It’s a little unnerving to just leave car keys and a title in a car on the day of pick up.) I’m very happy to support the great work of Make-A-Wish MA/RI. Their mission is to «grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.» I personally know a recipient of a trip from the Make-A-Wish MA/RI chapter. The 8 year old boy was overjoyed to get the chance to go to a Monster Truck rally & meet the Monster Truck drivers. His Mom & Dad got to join him on the trip, and it was an experience they will treasure. Read more about his wish at Overall, Make-A-Wish fulfills an amazing mission, and is worthy of your donations — both in volunteer hours and/or a monetary donation.
