I visited Dr. Korn at the recommendation of my Dentist in order to resolve the problems facing my 11 year-old’s teeth, upper palate and jaw. I could write volumes but will keep it brief. Given the problems facing my son, I was extremely anxious, but after our meeting I can say that I am simply amazed by every aspect of Dr. Korn’s practice. From the office itself, which is beautiful, to the lovely staff, all outstanding, to Dr. Korn, who is truly someone special. He possesses a rare combination of technical skill and artistry. Dr. Korn and staff took us through what my son’s issues were, explained to both my son and myself a course of action and outlined the costs, which I found very reasonable. The sense of relief that my son will be well taken care of cannot be adequately expressed here. Suffice it to say that I recommend Dr. Korn unreservedly.

I went to Dr. Korn for years, since I was a small child. Both my sister and i had had our teeth messed up by incompetent orthodontics; Dr. Korn fixed everything! His bedside(chairside?) manner can be severely lacking, especially with kids, but there is no one better in the business. If you can handle waiting for your appointment, and can afford the price, he is simply the best.

He really is the nutty professor in the flesh, but he is also the Dr. House of orthodontics. His knowledge of orthodontics and how the bite, teeth, etc., are all inter-related to medical problems(headaches) is incredible. I have been to his office since I was 9 years old, and would never go anywhere else. He is also very honest. My mom wanted to get veneers(which her dentist had been pushing on her for years), and in 5 minutes Dr. Korn explained to her that her bite was not right for them and they would end up chipping/breaking because of this. He does tend to make dental contraptions that look quite alien, but he helped my brother with one of them in a few months instead of braces which would have been a longer, more expensive process. Dr. Korn is worth the wait. However, word of caution… Julie used to be the receptionist — and she’s amazing. However, I forget who they had the last few times I was visiting, but she sucked. Was extremely rude. I seriously almost lost it with her a few times. I stopped going back for my check ups because I didn’t want to deal with her. Dr Korn, if she’s still there, please get rid of her. You’re lovably quirky, but no one else can get away with having any other kind of attitude problem there. Just not worth putting up with.

I can’t tell you how much I love these guys. My braces come off in 2 weeks, and they have been great. I feel like family whenever I walk in the door. The entire staff knows every patient by name, and they all make you feel right at home. They are very informative about every step of the process. They’ve even seen me as a walk-in a few times. I could not recommend Dr. Korn’s office more.

I give five stars for the care and treatment. Dr. Korn is very passionate and knows his shite. He is running out of wall space for his awards, degrees etc. I take off one star because they make you wait like crazy… at least an hour. Blatant disrespect for the patients’ time. I take off another star because I got a parking ticket while waiting for my appointment.

There is no doubt that Dr. Korn knows his stuff. The prices seemed fair for my 9 months of braces and follow up visits, and my teeth turned out great. However, one huge downfall is how busy this office is. On 99% of my visits I was seen 30 – 60 minutes later than my appointment time. Since the office is only open M-F, I ended up missing a lot of work. Furthermore, it was always difficult to schedule appointments into their booked schedule, and my treatments sometimes felt rushed and confused. On this level I would have to say that the customer service is severely lacking.

the nutty professor in the flesh! but this man really cares about teeth and his patients’ overall health. in addition to straightening my(slightly) crooked teeth, he stopped my migraines by correcting my bite. braces went on in march and came off in november — not too shabby! the staff at dr. korn’s is great too, you are always greeted with a smile, and they all know your first name. this is truly more of a hometown orthodontist office than one you would expect to find on newbury street in boston. i was also pleasantly surprised at how reasonable his prices were for my full treatment, and the payment plans were very accomodating as well. i always felt very well taken care of and would recommend dr. korn to anyone in need of a little straightening, young or old(er).
