This bookstore is well organized and stocks some extras including NEU apparel, snacks and dorm furnishings. The problems? They have a very limited selection of school supplies, such as printer ink and binders. Also, the hours really stink when regular classes aren’t in session. There are TONS of graduate and College of Professional Studies students that need books on the weekends in the summer. Last summer I rented my books, which were due back on a Monday. The quarter ended the day before on Sunday, and the bookstore was closed the entire weekend. The Monday the books were due, the bookstore was open 8 – 5. A working student most likely can’t make in in during that time frame. When I complained to a manager about this(after leaving work early to make it on time), she was super rude to me. This bookstore needs to cater to ALL students, not just the ones on campus.

Ok, it’s summer. I get it. Many students are out ’til the fall. But there are plenty of us, grad students especially, who would appreciate it if you were open, Bookstore. Since we still have classes… even in the summertime. Getting the textbooks RIGHT before the semester starts? With loads of «pre-work» to do before the fall, not having the textbooks in stock only insures that I will order them from Amazon. I’d like it to be convenient(and less expensive, but that’s a pipe dream) to buy my books on campus, but the crappy hours and lack of stock just makes me take my money elsewhere.

Overpriced. They don’t want you to comparison shop while in the store, so pretend like you are text messaging. Only reason to shop here is for the branded clothes if you like that stuff.

This store keeps odd hours. They aren’t open on the weekend during the summer, and close early. The employees are often students, and they are often clueless. There is a very high turnover rate here, and most people will not be able to help you when you have a question. They are the only bookstore on campus, which means that they are able to charge students whatever they want for books, apparel, and other necessities. I suggest that the only time you should shop there is when there is an emergency(you forgot something, you need aspirin…) or when it is something that you can only buy at the bookstore, such as a course pack. You can find everything that they have there on
etc… There is hardly ever a need to purchase your books from there. Their prices are ridiculous, and they hardly ever have used books. Their website is lacking. It has a few things on there that you can order. But otherwise, you’ll have to come in and look around. It’s a good bookstore to browse in: see what you want, and buy it somewhere else!
