Sadly I write this review as a goodbye. Parlor WHY must you leave me? I am pretty sure as of today Parlor is closed. In hopes that someone will read this and open up something identical I will write a list(since I love writing lists) of why shopping at Parlor is such a special experience: 1. I walk in to a large space with couches and chairs and am greeted by two fluffy puppies — Newbury and Cosmo. One is slightly obese and the others tongue is always sticking out. They melt my heart. I am instantly in love. 2. After petting the puppies, I get to talking with one of the owners who is always there every time I come in. She is a cool chick. It makes me want to buy things I cannot afford. We talk and have fun the whole time I am there. 3. They sell Black Halo — and I look awesome in Black Halo. I own the same dress in two colors now. I could not resist. 4. Great, no, AMAZING sale prices. I am a bargain hunter, you cannot find cheaper online or anywhere. 5. Everything is awesome and unique, and they support local artists. A lot of their shoes and accessories are made right here in Boston. 6. It is a little bit of a hidden gem. It is usually just me and my girlfriends in there when we go after Sunday brunch. I usually hang out there for a couple hours trying on almost the whole store. Boston needs more boutiques like Parlor. You will be missed. RIP baby.

I just dropped in a few weekends ago to this quiet little boutique. It had a great selection with some darling finds. The prices varied by brand, but they had these incredibly cute ballet flats in the front that were totally reasonable. I didnt have much interaction with the staff, in fact, I wasn’t so sure there was anyone there when we first walked in. But i guess she heard us and came back out to her seat. If you are in the area, pop in.

Going to parlor is like going into your super chic friend’s closet. Great for unique pieces — handbags and clutches, jewelry and shoes, dresses… love it all. Occasionally they have sales, which makes the trip there even more worth it. Staff is always helpful and friendly.

Really odd location, smack in the middle of a huge nail salon and some shady takeout joint, but I love it since it’s right across from Peter’s Park, where I’m occasionally found at. Parlor has some really cute stuff. I picked up a couple of unique tees, and I practically had to lock up my wallet on my most recent trip so I didn’t buy that«South End» black sweatshirt that keeps calling my name. I can always count on the fabulous handbags/clutches. I can’t remember the designer’s name, but they’re awesome and I wish I could justify spending that much on a clutch, when one of my bff’s is a handbag designer. In addition to the gorgeous merchandise, the staff(I think I’ve met 3 or 4 different women) has always been very friendly and outgoing and completely laid back, which to me makes all the difference with(possibly intimidating) boutiques.

I love Parlor, for all its warmth, coziness, and extra warm sweaters to help me through the winter. Part of what I love is that you won’t see another lady walking down the street in that lovely Porridge dress that you just bought(I confess, I bought two). Great sales, amiable owners, lovely jewelry, and good support of local artists and designers!

Great boutique down Washington street with a great selection of hip small label designer clothing! Beautiful pieces, with a decent range of prices. Staff is always friendly!

I love parlor! Great selection of designers and the owners are so sweet, they always show you special pieces that they like but are never overbearing… This store is a bit hidden on Washington but so worth the trip… besides its much easier to get parking here than on Newbury or Tremont.
