I love Peet’s coffee, but this specific location is by far the worst that I have ever been to. It is actually the worst coffee place that I have ever been to in my life… and I drink a lot of coffee. I have been ordering coffee from here for many years(mainly because I go to school right next door, so it is convenient), and not once have any of the employees there ever smiled. They are the rudest group of individuals, who couldn’t care less about their job, and they definitely don’t care about giving good service. I have put up with them, and have given them the benefit of the doubt for way too long, because hey, who wants to work at a college coffee shop anyway??? I almost have felt bad for them all of this time, until now. I ordered an ICED coffee… Simple and easy. It came to the counter warm, with one SINGLE ice cube in it. I asked if I could have have more ice in the cup, and by no surprise, I was given a lot of unnecessary attitude, and only 3 extra ice cubes. I understand that working at a coffee shop is less than ideal, but if you are that miserable, and that bad at your simple job, then go do something else that doesn’t require any human interaction. Please, don’t waste your money here… take the extra 5 minutes and walk down the street to Starbucks or Dunks.

I’d give this NO stars if I could. Worst location ever! Iced coffee warm — I don’t want a cup full of ice when I’m paying for coffee. Also ordered a croissant, must be 4 days old, McDonalds is better. Save your money.

I love Peet’s coffee chain. It’s always a great experience. But this location — they maybe didn’t get the training on how to make coffee? Not sure. But it’s not a typical Peet’s quality you would typically expect.

Literally the worst customer service around. The man who normally works at the register in the morning is so miserable it almost makes me laugh in his face. I always order an iced coffee and it comes out warm with no ice, which doesn’t make any sense. Then when you ask for more ice, they seem to get annoyed but if they made the coffee right the first time then there would be no problem. I wouldn’t ever go there if it wasn’t for the fact that it’s already paid for with dining points. Definitely the worst customer service EVER.

Coffe is okay. Espresso is good. Service is meh. Bakery items go fast and at the end of the day are realllly meh. Good to have in the area for a quick warm up.

Where I would go when I’m too lazy to walk to Starbuck or Dunkin. I mean no offense. There are some very nice people here, but once or twice there would be someone wanting to bite my head off when asking what I want to drink. Such unpleasantly so early in the morning, ouch! My «have a nice day» was not well received, hic. So when I see those people at the counter, I just skip my coffee for the day and wait until nicer faces are ready to take my order. But alas the ice chai is good. The ice tea is good when you dose it in unlimited liquid sugar. Some of their hot drinks though take a century to be made… There was like 2 people in line, making me late for class pooh. It’s overall quite inconsistent but at least I know my ice chai and ice tea is delicious. I will only play it safe here, since on some occasion of being adventurous I was left with some funky tasting frap or late or something that made me quite depressed.

Great tasting drinks and a very friendly staff. Always helping me find a new favorite. Try the iced sugar free vanilla soy latte. Yummy! Ashley and the staff will help you find a drink you love.

It’s in Mass Art. Do I need to say anything more? Anything involving the Mass Art cafeteria will automatically get a 1 star deduction from me: P Some of the most gloomiest looking people work there. As Anthony has mentioned, no smile, no cheerful attitude. Always a line. Expect 5+min wait during lunch. God forbid try getting a drink and you have class coming up in 5 mins. Dining hall is not the best. Not the cleanest. Quality of their drinks is decent. Hot chocolate is frothy at the top, medium rich in cocoa. Chocolate and caramel swirl freddo is the BEST aesthetics and taste wise… though it’ll hit you in the gut at 500 calories. Fatty for life.

I only go to this location because of its convenience. Everything else about it is terrible. They have never given me the drink I ordered, especially in the case of anything chai. The drinks are too hot to drink right away so I don’t notice until I’m long gone. Seriously, the chais are straight hot milk, nothing else, for $ 4. Incompetent staff.

Eh, I don’t know. I don’t feel right giving this Peets 2 stars, but I definitely don’t feel okay giving it 3. Alas, I will round up, because I’m a nice guy. On one hand, this Peets is semi-efficient. I mean, I was only in the line for five minutes today with three people in front of me. I was already early for work, so why not hang out a little longer? But, on the other side, is it so hard to smile to your customers? Maybe even make them feel welcomed? If you’re working at Peets(or any food service industry), regardless of position, have fun with it. So you’re working inside a dining hall at a university? Suck it up, just smile. So maybe doctors and nurses are coming by early in the morning, ask how their day is going. Bottom line: your customer service is the worst. Your location is great. I’ll keep on coming(with continual hope you all shape up!)

We love Peet’s – we search them out wherever we go. This one is hard to find, has odd hours, is closed on weekends(?!), features annoyed student employees, and handed me a Freddo drink that was spilling everywhere, leaving it to the customer to clean up their sticky mistake. Peet’s has outstanding coffee and we continue to visit our local one happily. But this one stinks.

I’m so going to hippie hell for this review, but my trip to Peet’s didn’t leave me very impressed at all. First off, a coffee and muffin don’t come cheap. The muffin wasn’t all that bad, but the coffee was very bitter, and that’s coming from someone who would be happy taking a shower of black coffee every morning. On the bright side, it’s a very cool and quiet atmosphere which is wonderful for reading the paper before work.

Ok, they were clearly working out some kinks when I last reviewed them, and weren’t adequately staffed. I’ve been hitting up this place more than I should lately, and when there are two cashiers, all is well. I can’t give them five stars though, since my attempt at friendly banter(which was initiated by the barista!) was met with art student superiority/coolness. Make up your mind, barista/student, you are either friendly or you aren’t. Quit playing games with my heart.
